Leia POV
"Our battle with The First Order has just begun." Leia said with a sigh.
"Kylo Ren said the first Order has it. At least most of it. They got it from the archives of the empire." Rey told the group.
"That would make sense. The empire would have located and destroyed all the temples when they wiped out the Jedi." I replied. "If only we had a map. Without Luke we don't stand a chance."
Suddenly, out of no where came the loud excited happy sound of whistles and chirps. A sound which hadn't been heard for years. "R2? Is that you?" C-3PO asked shocked to see his friend actually in working order. "Slow down. The map? To Master Luke? You have it in your archives? Praise the maker!" C-3PO replied.
A few minutes later, R2 was projecting the map in the air but a piece was missing. BB8 turned to Poe and made whistling sounds. "Yeah I still have it. Here." Poe said injecting the map piece that Lar Sen Tika had given them at the beginning of their journey. Then rolling over to where R2 was he projected his piece of the map and everything snapped into place. They stared in awe at the map a glimmer of hope in their eyes. At last they had a map to lead them to Luke.
"General, I need to go with them. I don't know why, but I feel as if this is something that I'm suppose to do. I know it's not what Catherine would want but it's something I have to do." Chrsitina said turning to Leia.
Leia smiled "knowing Catherine she'd have been right beside you insisting on going with you. I feel it too. You are destined to be a part of this journey to find Luke."
"Thank you. General for understanding." Christina said giving Leia a hug.
Chewie was checking to make sure everything was set and ready. "Good luck and may the force be with you." She called as the doors to the falcon closed.
"Chewie, we both know that this ship is easier to fly when it has two people. We know that I am capable of flying her." Rey said to Chewie who made a guttural sound and motioned for Rey sit in the pilots seat. In Han's seat. "Really?" She asked surprised that he didn't want the pilots seat himself.
"From what Catherine told me, Chewie has always been second mate." Christina replied. "I think what he's saying is that it just wouldn't feel right being in the pilots seat after all these years. Am I right?" Christina asked Chewie who nodded and let out a sad cry.
Several hours later, Rey and Christina found themselves landing on a planet filled with green and surrounded by ocean. The very planet that Rey and Chrsitina had so often seen in their dreams. "Ready?" Rey asked Christina who nodded.
"Ready." With that they began the long climb that lead to the top of the cliff overlooking the ocean. There at the top stood a man in a cloak his face hidden by the hood. Sensing them he lowered his hood and stared at them.
They stood for what seemed like an eternity no one saying a word. Rey finally made the first move reaching into her bag and pulling out Luke's lightsaber. She extended towards him her eyes pleading with him to take it.
He looked at her warily and then down at the lightsaber and then took it in his hands. Rey sighed in relief until Luke tossed the lightsaber over the cliff.
"What did you do that for?" Christina demanded angrily. "Do you realize what we had to go through to find you? And now that we have you won't even help? Catherine was right, you are selfish! Come on Rey, we are obviously wasting our time."
Luke looked at her confused. "Did you say Catherine?"
"Yes. Catherine risked her life to find and recover the map that lead us to you and you won't even help."
"She risked her life to find me?" Luke replied. "Why would she want to find me unless... She still hates me. Even after all these years. She still blames me for his death." Luke said with a sigh.
"I'm sure she doesn't hate you. She may be disappointed in you, but she could never hate you." Christina replied.
"You don't know her like I do. Believe me, she hates me and I'm not suprised that she is disappointed in me. I'm sure everyone is disappointed in me. I failed her, I failed everyone. I thought I could be as good of a teacher as my mentors Ben and Yoda but I was wrong. As a result my padwan betrayed me. He like my father was seduced by the dark side of the force. He ceased to be my nephew and became Kylo Ren and it's all my fault. My failure has cost the galaxcy more then you can ever know." Luke replied.
"Oh stop it! Your too wrapped up in a pity party to see that your family needs you, General Leia needs you, Catherine needs you, the Resistance needs you, the Galaxcy needs you." Christina said irritatedly and yet pleadingly at the same time.
"I fail them. Leia and Han..." Luke started to reply.
"Don't you dare finish that sentence! Don't you dare dishonor his memory by feeling sorry for yourself. He believed in you, he died believing in you. Believing that you could restore balance to the Galaxy. You know what I think? I think Your nothing but a whiny little crybaby. I think your afraid. Your afraid that if you get involved you'll hurt and let down the ones you care about. If you give up, if you refuse to help us then the first order has already won. They will continue to corrupt your padwan until there is no light left in him and they will do the same to Catherine. If listening to the stories Catherine told me has taught me anything, it's to never give up hope. You didn't give up hope for your father and you can't give up hope for your padwan who has been lead astray. You have to stand up and fight. Fight for your family, for those you love and for the good of the Galaxy." Christina replied handing Luke the lightsaber who shook his head and handed it back to Rey. "The time has come for the Jedi to return only you can save Catherine and your padwan or whatever you call a Jedi in training." Christina replied.
Luke was in shock. He wasn't sure how to respond. Here was this young girl calling him a crybaby and scolding him as if he were a child. Was she right? Was he being a wimp? Was he just afraid of failing? "What do you mean save Catherine?" Luke asked puzzled.
"We were running out of time on out last mission. Star Killer base was about to explode along with the planet. Our friend Finn was badly injured and Catherine had been shot. She opted to stay behind to cover us till we got Finn to the ship. However, she knew we wouldn't have time to go back for her. We barley had time to get out of forest and onto the falcon. She said she'd meet up with us later but I think she was just saying that so we'd leave. I don't know if she's even still alive. If she is, then she's being held prisoner by the First Order. Who knows what they will do to her." Rey replied sadly.
"If they take her to Snoke She'll be turned to the dark side like Kylo Ren." Luke replied turning to walk away.
"No she won't. She'll fight them till there is no more breath in her." Christina replied defensively.
"Yeah, from what I've seen of Catherine, she won't give in to their demands. She's not intimidated by them. She's a fighter and nothing they can do will break her spirit." Rey replied.
"I know Catherine better then you think. Despite what you might think, Catherine is not a Jedi. She never completed her training in fact, she walked away from it. She's always been so afraid and full of anger. Those things lead to the dark side. She might have said she wants to reconcile but I know she still blames me for our father's death. I know she's not ready to forgive me. The truth is, I doubt she'll ever be ready. It's only a matter of time before she's seduced by the dark side." Luke said with a sigh.
"I thought Catherine and Han said that it was hard to see the future even when using the force because it's always in motion. How can you be certain she will give in to the dark side? And if she does, who's to say we can't help her see the light?" Rey and Christina asked.
"It's not that simple." Luke replied.
"Then train us." Christina replied motioning to Rey and herself. "Together the three of us might be able to do what you can't do alone."
"I... I need sometime to think. I need to meditate." Luke replied.
"We don't have time for..." Rey started to say but Christina shook her head and hushed her.
"Let him meditate. Catherine said he could always see things clearer after he quiets his mind." Christina replied.
"Fine. Go, do your yoga or spiritual dream journey or meditation or whatever you call it. Just be quick about it!" Rey said with a sigh.
With that, Luke turned and walked up to the grave he had been staring at and sat down next to it. "Ben, tell me, what do I do? I need guidance. I feel so lost. I failed. I wasn't strong enough to delete the darkside. I've lost someone I care deeply about to it and now I might loose Catherine too. How can I train these girls? I can't protect them and if I train them Snoke and his apprentice will kill them just like they did all the younglings I was training. Or worse, they will be seduced by the dark side too. I can't deal with that kind of heart break again."
"Remember what you were taught. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to suffering." Ben said to Luke.
"Ben I can't do this. I'll let them down. They will die if I help them."
"Forgotten already that which I have taught you? Always in motion the future is. Decide you must how to serve these girls, and your sisters. However, if you give up now, destroy all that Ben and I have taught you it will. Give up you must not." Yoda replied.
"But Master Yoda, I tried to do as you taught me and I failed." Luke replied. "My apprentice turned to the dark side and killed all of the other younglings. How can I train these girls? I'll fail them as I did my. My." Luke paused unable to finish his sentence.
"As you did your nephew." Anakin replied stepping out of the shadows. "Your nephew was seduced by the dark side for the same reasons I was when I was younger. It made him feel powerful but he will learn in time as I did, that the dark side of the force isn't as strong as the light. I wouldn't be concerned about your sister. She doesn't blame you for my death any longer. While it is true, she is still hurt and angry concerning my death her anger is directed towards me, not you. She won't be seduced by the dark side of the force not if I have anything to say about it." Anakin replied.
"Interfere you can not." Yoda warned Anakin.
"Me? Interfere? What ever gave you an idea like that Master? I wouldn't dream of interfering in their lives." Anakin replied as innocently as he could.
"Lie to us you can not." Yoda replied and Anakin sighed.
"I just want to remind her what the dark side of the force cost me. And perhaps have a word with that foolish grandson of mine. You know, show him that what I did when I was Vader was wrong and that it shouldn't be idolized." Anakin replied.
"No." Ben and Yoda replied.
"Can we please get back to the issue on hand? What am I to do? Can't you tell me?" Luke asked pleadingly.
"Decide for you we can not. Already know what you must do, you do." Yoda replied and Ben nodded.
"You know what I would do. My advice, remember what Master Yoda told you before he became one with the force. Pass on what you have learned." Anakin replied.
"Anakin." Ben warned.
"I know, I know decide on his own. Choose his own path blah blah blah." Anakin replied with a sigh causing Ben to frown.
"You still have much to learn my young apprentice." Ben said placing a hand on Anakin's shoulder as they disappeared.
"Thank you. All of you. I know what I must do. I am going to train them and together we will restore balance to the Galaxy." Luke said.
"So? were you able to reach a decision?" Christina and Rey asked as Luke approached them.
"Yes. I believe when you first arrived you offered me something that once belonged to me?" Luke said turning to Rey.
"You mean?" Rey asked.
"Yes. I am ready to fight but I'll need my weapon if I am to do that. You'll also need lightsabers if I am going to train you in the ways of the force." Luke replied.
"So where do we get one?" Christina asked.
Luke smiled "you don't." Luke replied.
"I don't understand. If we don't go and get one how do we come by a lightsaber?" Christina questioned.
"The way all Jedi and all Sith come by one you build one." Luke replied causing Rey's eyes to light up. She had always liked tinkering with things.
