After that first night things for Louis seemed to calm down a little bit. His days consisted of hanging out in the library, going on little adventures with Harry, or helping Ella out in the kitchens. Most of his days he was hanging out in the library because, Harry was always in meetings, not that he minded, and Ella usually didn't need his help.
Today was one of those days and to be honest, Louis didn't feel like going to the library. He was tired of staying the castle. Visits to the Royal garden were restricted because people could possibly get a glimpse of who Louis was. Which to him was really confusing to Louis. Why would they want to hide his identity, sure it was for "safety precautions" but it was a little over board in his opinion.
So he decided to do something risky and sneak out of the castle, it's not like anyone was going to know who he is right?

Surprisingly, sneaking out of the castle was much more simpler than Louis thought it would have been. He simply put on the clothes he showed up in. The possibility of him trying to sneak out in his new clothes was definitely not going work. The guards would catch him and he would probably be locked into his room until Harry got back. Definitely not fun.
When he was walking the halls of the castle no gave him a second glance and he easily slipped out of the back of the kitchen.
Soon enough, he found himself in the town, and in that moment he realized how much he missed the town and the atmosphere of the place.
He passed a couple of shops and saw a familiar shop that he must have been in at least a hundred time. On the front of the shop was Lou's Wardrobe in curly writing. A small grin made it on his face as he opened the door and the familiar ding of the bell welcomed him into the shop.
"Hello welcome to Lou's wardrobe how may I-" the women at the desk looked up at the customer and stopped mid sentence.
"Hey Lou..." Louis said sheepishly knowing exactly what was coming next.
"LOUIS WILLIAM WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN THESE LAST FEW WEEKS! I HAVE SEEN OR HEARD FEOM YOU IN FOREVER!" The women yelled while running up to the boy. Louis simply opened his arms and gave her a big hug.
"I've been busy Lou in sorry. I should have tried to contact you sooner, but I've been busy sorry." Louis said his voice muffled by Lou's shoulder.
Lou removed her self from the hug and stood in front of the boy her hands on her hips.
"I've been worried considering what happened to your step family." Louis said almost in tears.
"Lou what the heck are you talking about?" He asked confused.
"You don't know?",Lou asked and Louis simply shook her head, "well it was the talk of the town. Anyway apparently your step-family got caught in some sort of fraud thing involving your fathers will. Apparently when you turned 18 everything was supposed to go to you. But your step-mother, being the women that she is, decided to keep everything to herself. The royal counsel found out banished them from the kingdom. I was worried that they took you with them but I guess not." Lou said with a forced laugh.
Louis sat there for a couple of seconds stunned by what he just learned. I mean he knew that his step-mother was a bad person, but he didn't realize how bad she actually was. Lou looked at the boy curiously.
"How have you not known what's happened?" Lou asked. And will crap Louis was in trouble.
"Well you see...um...I was at the ball and I was kind of walking around and I was offered a job at to work at the castle. And I haven't been home since." Louis said hoping the lie would work for Lou.
Lou looked at the boy for a second suspiciously then said, "well good for you for, finally getting out of that horrific place. So how's the castle been."
"It's been great! Everyone there is so nice and sweet and the royal family isn't actually that bad. At fort I thought they would stick up snobs, but they're actually really genuine people. Especially Prince Harry." Louis said with relief. Not believing that Lou actually bought the lie.
"Speaking of Prince Harry...do you happen to know who he's going to marry." Lou said with a wiggle of her eyebrows.
"I do...but we had to sign contract promising not to give the identity of the future royal family member." Louis said.
"Aha I see must be tough keeping a big secret like. Literally everyone wants to know who the person is, since they made a big deal on finding them." She said.
Oh Lou you have no idea Louis thought.
And Louis and Lou talked like that for hours just catching up on the couple of weeks they've been apart. All Louis wanted to do the whole time was just scream that he's going to be marrying the prince. But he knew he couldn't do that.
When Louis looked out the window for a moment and saw that was dark he instantly froze up.
"Louis what's the matter?" Lou asked.
"Oh...sorry I have to rush like this but I didn't see how dark it was. I need to get back to the castle cause um I'm on dinner duty and I really can't be late for that. Goodbye." Louis said as he races out of the store and through the streets of the town hoping that no one knew that he was gone.

Harry honestly hated meetings with the counsel.
He hated that he had to leave his Lou alone for hours on end. He understood that this would help him transition into becoming king easier, but he didn't like how many he had to go to.
Most of the time the men would drone on forever over the most pointless and useless stuff. Like honestly who cares about if there should be a limit of the number of horses a person should own.
Stuff like that wouldn't help the kingdom move forward at all. Harry really only cared about the stuff that would help the kingdom succeed and grow not well horse limits.
So, by the time the meeting ended Harry practically bolted out the room. He walked into his room and changed into more comfortable clothes, and went to look for Louis.
The first place he looked was the library because that's where Louis usually was when Harry was at meetings. When he noticed the library was empty he decided to look down in the kitchens.
Harry walked around the kitchens for a couple of minutes until he noticed Ella working in the kitchens. Alone without Louis. Great.
"Hey Ella has Louis been down here with you at all?" Harry asked.
"No y-Harry he hasn't been down here at all today." Ella said remembering how Harry asked her to call him.
"Oh ok." Harry said curtly as he walked out of the kitchens. He didn't understand where Louis could be, he usually doesn't stray from his usual spots. Harry has noticed that Louis is quite the creature of habit, usually going to the same places and not changing his routine much.
Harry decided to go to the head guard Liam who literally knew where everyone was at in the castle. Most of the times he thought that was creepy, but right now it really came in handy.
"Hey Li have you seen Louis today?" Harry asked.
"Hm...actually now that I think about when I was doing my rounds, I didn't see him at all today." He said while scratching his chin.
"Where do you think he could've gone Li...I mean you and I both know Louis, he usually doesn't stray from his usual hide outs." Harry said, starting to stress out over Louis bring missing.
Harry was paranoid absolutely paranoid, ever sense Louis ran away from him at the ball. Every time Louis goes "missing" he always gets the thought of Louis running away and never coming back. And right now was one of those moments.
Oh Lou where are you? Harry thinks.

So yay I finally updated...I don't know where the heck this story is going but I will figure it out eventually.
