The girl runs as fast as she can, orcs on her tail, trying to kill her. Her body aching with pain. She comes to a cliff, the orcs are surrounding her. She knows there is no escape except to jump, she turns and leaps down, her body makes impact with the ground below, everything goes black.
As she comes to consciousness she hears voices talking.
"Will she be alright?" A voice asks
"Yes, though she will have scars, I wonder what happened to her" Another says
She slowly opens her eyes and sits up, she looks at the two elves in front of her, a male and a female.
"Where am I? What happened?" She asks
"Rivendell, I found you at the bottom of a small cliff. I noticed you had many wounds.What happened to you?" The male asks
"I was tortured, what are your names?" She asks
"I am Elrond, this is my daughter Arwen" The male, Elrond says just then a man, not elf enters the room.
"This is Estel" Elrond says
"What is your name?" Arwen asks
"Lyra" the girl says
"Do you have family?" Elrond asks
"No, they were killed by orcs in the dungeon they took us to" Lyra says
"Are you human?" Estel asks
"No, I'm a Skin-Walker" Lyra says
"Oh, why don't you live here, also tells us more about yourself" Elrond says
"Alright, but am I free to do as I wish?" Lyra asks
"Of course, but you will be my adoptive daughter"
"Alright" Lyra says and starts to tell him her story, feeling safe for the first time in a very long time.
