(Ayu's POV)
Laying on the bed, I feel the warm sheets, The smell of his bed. I turn my body and cover my face with a pillow.
“Did you sleep well?”
I turn my head from the pillow. Still sleepy his figure was blurry. I rub my eyes and try again. It was Jiyong. I gasp.
“Oh! Hi!! Um.....” He stops me from talking. He pulls me back onto the bed. The two of us were laying down, facing each other.
“Oh, um....” I stutter.
He just smiles gently and pats my head. I could feel heat rushing towards my cheek.
Embarrassed, I put my hands to my face. He stops patting me and grabs my hands.
Looking at my hands he looked like he was in pain.
“I...did this to you.....”
I look at my hands. It was true that they were swollen and full of nail marks but it was worth it.
“Gwenchanah! They don’t hurt!”
He looks at me with a sad painful expression.
“liar.”
I keep quiet as he touches my hands gently and puts them towards his chest.
“I’m sorry.....I wrecked such beautiful hands...”
I blush.
ba dump ba dump
He lets go of them slowly. Getting out of bed he takes out a medicine kit. I watch as he wraps my hands with a bandage.
“Thanks.” I say in a quiet voice.
“Don’t thank me...I don’t deserve it.”
I clench my hands. I slap his back.
“Ow! Wha-”
“You should stop worrying! I’m okay! So recieve my thank you!”
He just stares at me. Then he smiles with his eyes closed.
“Alright....your welcome.”
I give him a pat on the head.
“Good job” I say.
Ruffling his hair, he ducks his head. I tilt my head to see why. He was blushing.
I quickly take my hands off his head.
“Oops! Sorry.....”
I felt flustered as well. He just nods silently and makes his way downstairs.
I put my closed hands to my face.
“That was so cute”
(GD’s POV)
I went downstairs.
Good job..
Why do I feel so flustered? It was just one pat on the head...
“Ah wait!”
I quickly make myself upstairs. Cooling my face I open the door to my room. She sits there, staring at her bandaged hands. She looked somewhat happy.
My heart ached hurting.
I’m gonna make this up to her...
I tap on the door slightly. She looks up and gives me a warm smile.
“Um..I have a suprise for you.…”
She looked suprised as she nods her head.
“Close your eyes.”
She closes her eyes slowly. I take her by her arm and gently guide her out the door, and into the kitchen.
“Can I look yet?” She says.
“Yeah.”
she opens her eyes.
I wait for her reaction.
(Ayu’s POV)
I gasp. There were so many kinds of dishes on the table, starting from roasted ham, chicken pot pie, Cream pie, strawberry icecream and much more.
I look at all of them and drool, the feature of the food so dazzling.
He gives a confident smile.
“Bon appetite! Eat as much as you would like!”
I make such a big smile that it hurt.
“Jalmukgetsupnida!!!!”
(Jalmukgetsupnida: means thanks for the food)
I sit down digging in to the food. They all melted in my mouth. Going for the cream pie, he looks at me.
“You have some cream there ayu.” He says gently. Reaching for my mouth he slightly touches my cheek to get the cream off.
I chew slowly, lowering my head towards the food so he wouldn’t see me blushing.
“Today, I want to make it up to you.” He says.
Trying to cut a piece of turkey I just nod. I was so happy.
“ You can’t cut with your hands in a bandage...” He says.
He takes the fork from me and cuts a piece of turkey. He puts it towards my mouth
“Ja! Ahhh!” He says.
“G-go away!” I say.
He laughs.
“ You finally laughed!” I say happily. Just noticing himself he scratches his head.
“Yeah, I did.”
The doorbell rings. We both just sit there. I felt nervous.
What if it is her again?
Both of us sitting down I could see jiyong, irritated and scared.
I put on a brave face.
“I‘m gonna go get it!”
He grabs my arm. He shakes his head scared.
“Gwenchanah. I will be fine.”
I release him from grabbing my arm.
He stares at me worried.
I take a deep breath. I open the door a bit. It was the police.
I open the door more widely.
“Oh! Hello! Is everything okay with the investigation?”
He looks at me confused.
“Yes, I told the young man last time that you could. Must have been my mistake. I just came to confirm it once more. You may go back to your house now.”
He nods and walks away. I stand there confused.
Jiyong looks at me innocently.
“Um, I can explain...” He says.
I look at him skeptically. I put my arms to my hips.
“Well....um....you see...” He says. He stops talking as he scratches his head.
“Well i’m leaving then” I say teasingly.
Heading out the door, he embraces me, holding me from the back. I stand on the door. My face was red. He holds me tightly, I could feel his warmth.
“Don’t go ayu....your my most precious friend.”
I felt dissapointed.
I’m just a friend to him.
I get out of his grasp.
That’s all I’ll ever be.
I turn around and give him a wide smile.
“Jangnan ei yah! I won’t leave you until you want me to.”
Heading back inside I can’t help but sulk over what he said. I give out a slight sigh.
Then I smile.
“It’s alright. I will be your friend as long as you will be happy.” I whisper.
I make my way back to the kitchen.
(GD’s POV)
I look at her as she heads back inside. Somehow, she looked a bit sad.
As she makes her way into the kitchen, I ruffle my hair.
To be honest, I don’t know what you are to me Ayu.....
