~~~~(Jake's POV)~~~~
I'm sitting here at Sam's with everyone else except Embry and Amy. Embry hasn't been seen or heard from, since that night which was like two weeks ago. We all sat here quietly, and that's very bizarre since we are always loud and goofing off.
"I can't believe it." I looked up and saw that it was my sister Rachel, who had spoke. She was sitting on Paul's lap. "Dad never told us, that he had another son."
"Well could you blamed him? How else would he say that he hooked up right before mom died!" I practically yelledMan I'm never usually upset with my dad, but what he did was unforgivable.
"Calm down Jake." Sam decide to finally speak up.
"No Sam, how would you feel when you find out one of your best friends is actually your brother?!" We all just started voicing our opinions until Tessa yelled.
"Everyone shut up!" We all looked at her for getting angry. Usually it takes a lot more to make her angry. "Remember, we have to think about Embry. On how he feels about this whole ordeal. I talked to Amy last night, and she says Embry hasn't done much. He won't leave the house, but he helps clean and plays with the kids. That's it, he barely talks to her, and she's worried." She took a deep breath and said, "excuse me, but I need to leave. I have errands to run." She walked out the door with Collin right behind her.
She's right, poor Embry didn't ask for this. Man he must feel like we betrayed him or something. I left to go. Talk to my dad, hoping to get answers........
"Ok dad you need to explain."
"Jake, there's nothing to explain."
"Bullshit dad!"
"Jacob! It happened along time ago, drop it."
"How? Dad my long childhood best friend is my brother! How is it hard to explain?"
"Jacob, please I feel guilty enough about it...I don't need you on my case either."
"Dad jus-"
"I don't really remember the details that night, but a couple weeks later Tiffany comes over. Luckily your mother was out at the time. Tiffany told me she was pregnant and she knew that I was the father. I helped support her as much as I could. When Embry was born, I was there including your mother. I watched Embry grow up over the years especially when you two became such good friends. I felt guilty when I saw Embry every day, and the guilt just grew over the years. Finally Tiffany and I decided it was time to come clean, and you know the rest."
"Did mom ever know?" He just chuckled.
"Jacob, I could never hide a thing from your mother. Of course she was mad but was thrilled when her best friend was pregnant. She helped Tiffany as much as she could. Your mother forgave me and I was so grateful that she did." He stayed silent then I placed my hand on his.
"I forgive you dad."
"Thanks Jake."
~~~~(Tessa's POV)~~~~
I looked down at the object in my hand. I placed a hand over my mouth seeing the results. I walked out of the bathroom and into the living room where Collin sat. He saw my features and tears eyes.
"Tess, what's wrong?" He jumped up and embraced me in a hug. I just instantly broke down and cried into his shirt. He wrapped his arms around me and picked me up bridal style and laid my head on his shoulder as he carried me to my room.
He carefully opened and shut the door, then sat on my bed with me in his lap. He rubbed soothing circles on my back, and that helped calm me down a bit.
"Can you tell me what's wrong Tess?" I stayed quiet just a bit longer then I finally spoke. Thank god my parents aren't home.
"I've been getting sick in the mornings and have been getting very moody lately....I took a te,.test and....."
"And what sweetheart? It's ok I'm here, you can tell me anything." I smiled, that's exactly what Amy told me when ever I needed someone to talk too.
"I'm carrying life." I looked up and saw Collin looked confused. To help him figure it out, I placed his hand on my stomach and his eyes were like saucers.
"You're pregnant?!" I looked up and was about to cry again. "Oh no, baby don't cry. I'm happy, it's nothing to be sad about."
"You're not mad?"
"Never, I'm happy when you're happy. We don't have to keep the baby if you don't want too." I looked at him with eyes full of shock.
"I want to keep him," Collin smiled down at me and pecked my lips. "But I'm afraid to tell everyone else, what will they think?"
"Doesn't matter as long as we both love him or her. We're graduating in a few months so it's all good." I nod my head seeing what he's saying.
"Ok, we will tell them just not now with the whole....you know."
"Yeah, that's probably a good idea." We sat there in silence. "Just remind me when we tell everyone that I need to be far away from your sisters."
"Why is that?" I was confused as to why he would say something like that.
"I really would like to see my baby before my life ends." I burst out laughing and he smiled and began to laugh as well. Once we calmed down I asked,
"Collin?"
"Yes?"
"Could we stay like this for the rest of the day? I'm tired and not feeling to great."
"I would like that and anything for you baby." He placed my beside him and laid back. I rested my head on his chest and my hand next to my face. I felt a loving kiss being placed on my forehead. I was beginning to fall asleep and rolled over so my back was facing Collin.
I felt a warm arm wrap around my stomach and pulled me up against a nice warm and muscled chest. I snuggled closer to him and rested my head on my hand. The room was so quiet and peaceful. I didn't even realize how tired I was.
"I love you Tessa," and I felt him kiss my cheek before laying his head down behind mine. I sighed deeply and before I fell asleep I mumbled,
"I love you too Collin." That was the last thing I remember before I drifted off to sleep I the love of my life's arms...
~~~~(Embry's POV)~~~~
I placed Flora in her crib. I covered her small body in her little pink blanket. Her little hand was curled into a fist, and her little fingers held onto the blanket. I smiled at the sight before me, and turned her little light on. I shut off the room's light and closed her door very slowly.
Then I proceed to head to my room. When I get in there I noticed Amy was still in the bathroom. I pulled my shirt and jeans off, leaving me in my black boxers. I got in bed and sat there. Shortly the bathroom door opens and Amy walks out.
She smiled at me and got in bed next to me. She was wearing black shorts with a black t-shirt with a rainbow smilie on it.
"How are you feeling?" She asked. I sighed deeply,
"Fine," she placed her hand on my cheek making me face her.
"Please tell me the truth, I know your hurting and I want to help."
"I'm fine love, it's just...I don't know how to face my mom or Billy. I'm mean what do I say?"
"Do what you thinks right, that's all you can do." She looked at me with those love filled eyes.
"I'll talk to them tomorrow, but would you come with me?"
"Of course, I'd do anything for you."
"As would I, thanks Amy you know just what to say. I love you so much." I leaned in connecting our lips in a loving passionate kiss. She pulled away after a few minutes.
"I love you too Embry, goodnight." She laid down and had her back to me. I smiled down at her and kissed her temple. Then I laid down behind her pulling up against my chest. I lay my head above hers. Inhaling her wonderful vanilla scent and drifted off to a peaceful sleep....
~~~~(Amy's POV)~~~~
"Amy," I still had my eyes shut and groaned. Who is waking me up? I'm so tired. "Amy," that same voice spoke again. It's a girls voice but I'm not sure who's. Upon hearing my name a third time I decided to wake up. I opened my eyes to no longer see a dark bedroom, but instead a open field with butterflies, birds singing, and the wind slightly blowing. The lighting seemed like it was heavenly, like when you're on the verge of dying.
"Hello? Who's there?" I ask, not seeing anyone.
"I'm glad you can finally join me Amy." I turn around to see a girl in her early twenties maybe, tan skin, black hair in curls, beautiful brown eyes. Actually she reminds me of Rachel and Jake. "You're probably wondering who I am?" I nod my head. "My name's Rebecca, Rebecca Black."
Realization dawned on me. I've seen her in pictures at Billy's and one Jake keeps in his wallet. Rachel barely talks about her. She said that Rebecca has been gone for 6 years.
"You're Rachel's and Jake's sister." She smiled and looked at the ground.
"Yes, I'm their sister. Amy I called you here to talk."
"Is everything ok Rachel? And where is here?" She took a deep breath and spoke,
"I..I wanted to say thank you, for saving my kids, family, and friends." Wait kids?
"Rebecca, what do you mean kids?"
"Those kids you saved from the fire, well they were mine." Wait! So Katie and Luke are Rebecca's children. "I was in the kitchen with my imprint Derek. He was the sweetest guy, and protective like Sam."
"Wait how is Derek like Sam?"
"Derek was Sam's little brother. I guess Sam was being the bossy type brother, and Derek was just laid back kinda guy. He could be serious but also knew how to have fun. But that night Derek was acting strange. When I was in the kitchen with Derek I thought I saw someone outside. Derek got all tense and moved closer to me. The next thing I know is something crashes through the window and Derek covers me with his body. I scream for only a second, then I saw black.
The next thing I know is that I'm watching you save my kids. I've watched over them since. Then those same exact blood suckers tried to hurt my friends and family but you risked your life to save them. I am grateful for all that you've done." When she was done a smokey grey wolf, just like Luke and Katie come walking out. The wolf shifted back to being a man that looks like Sam but his hair is more like Jakes, but blondish brown. He walked over to Rebecca and wrapped his arms around her.
"Hey baby," he said to a giggling Rebecca. I feel bad, they shouldn't have died.
"Rebecca, Derek," they both looked at me. "Is there a way for me to bring you back?"
"I don't think you can bring someone back from the dead, it's just not possible." Derek said.
"Amy, we're grateful of what you're suggesting, but Derek's right; it's just not possible." Everything started fading. Rebecca and Derek walked over to me, engulfing me in a group hug. "Please tell my family, that I'm okay and that I love them."
"And do the same for me to Sam." Derek spoke. I nod my head to both of them. We break the group hug, and Derek once again wraps his hands around Rebecca.
"Rebecca, Derek...I'm not giving up." I hadn't realized I had been crying the whole time. Everything became a big blur and then black.
I once again open my eyes to somebody shaking my shoulder and softly calling my name. I rolled over to see Embry awake.
"Amy, you're crying what's wrong?" I didn't even know I was crying until Embry brushed his thumb catching stray tears. Embry pulled me onto his lap and cuddled me.
"Thank you Embry,"
"For what baby?"
"Everything," was all I said before falling asleep in his arms.
