well i think you guys are going to like this chapter but i guess i am going to have to wait and see but i am kinda nervous
Chapter 26.....
I walked through the door still reeling from what my mom asked me and still having no clue what to do.
FLASH BACK
"Aubrey, how do you feel about moving back in with me?"
I stare at her not sure if i heard her right. The waiter set down our food and asked if we needed anything else but i just shook my head. "What?" I asked slowly.
"i asked, if you would like to move back in with me?" She asked again.
I open my mouth to answer but nothing come's out. How do i feel about that? Well i know i would miss Landon so much. "Mom, i have to think about this okay?"
"No problem, hun. I know it's a lot to take in and soon. So take as much time as you want." She pats my hand.
END OF FLASH BACK
I walked down the hallway towards my room, closing the door behind me and walked over to my bed falling on my back. I stared up at the ceiling thinking. What if i do move back in with my mom? I mean, i have been thinking about moving again. I just feel like i stayed here long enough, i just dont want to over stay my welcome. Plus like Jane said Landon's been distracted a lot lately. Could that be because of me?
A smile came to my lips when a heard the door creak open and the bed shift beside me. I knew it was Landon because of the shock and comfort and tingles that came over me. He lay on his side laying an arm across my stomach. I snuggled into his neck where his shoulder met his neck. I sighed in two reasons. One, in content and the other in confusion. I know I have to figure this out but right now I just want to lay here in his arms and forget about every bad thing.
But this is reality and in reality you can’t sit back and pretend nothing is happening. You have to go in head first. So I took a deep breath, breathing in his scent. Then I sat up and got up. I looked back at him, seeing his confused look and the small smile on his lips. The way his hair is messed up, clearly he’s been running his finger’s throw it again.
I lick my lips and looked down at my hands and said, “Landon, my mom asked if I wanted…if I wanted to move back in with her.”
I didn’t look up but I heard him get up off the bed but nothing else. I glanced up and saw him standing on the other side of the bed just looking at me, not making a move to come closer. “What did you tell her?” he asked, keeping his voice calm and no emotion showed on his face.
“I told her I had to think about it.” I whispered.
Again I heard nothing. He just stood there staring at me with no emotion. “You have to think about it?” he asked.
“I might actually think it’s a good idea.” Again I whispered.
Now he makes noise. He scoffs and then laughs. I looked up at him confused. “Why are you laughing? Landon, we need to talk about this.” I tell him.
He looks over at me. “It looks like you already made up your mind.”
I shake my head. “No I haven’t Landon. That’s why I am talking to you about this. I said it might be a good idea. Key word, might. I haven’t made up my mind.” I said walking over to him. I put my hand on his arm but he just pulls away, taking a step back.
“Do you want to leave?” he asked me not even looking at me.
“Of course not, Landon. But just because I don’t want to doesn’t mean I shouldn’t.” I told him.
He finally looks down at me. “Then stay.” He takes a step towards me and says, “Please just stay. If you want to stay then stay. You can, you can stay here, Aubrey.”
“But I can’t, Landon. I don’t want to but i think it’s for the best. I’ve stayed here long enough and my mom’s back so I can go back home.”
“Why?” he asked. The emotions that he is trying to hide so hard are starting to show. I can see the hurt and anger that I am causing him. Which is making me hurt because I am the one who is causing him pain.
“Because, I don’t want to over stay my welcome and I want you to be able to stay focused on your Alpha duties. I don’t want to distract you anymore.”
“You’re not, Aubrey. Your my mate, I’m sorry if I pay too much attention to you.” He says angry.
“That’s not what I meant, Landon and you know that. “ I sighed and closed my eyes. “We can still see each other. During school even after school. The only thing that will change is where I sleep. Landon, this will change nothing. I promise you that.” I tell I’m, pleading with him to understand this.
He looks down and I put my hand on his cheek. He leans into it and I feel his lips kiss the inside of my palm. “I understand.” He says.
I feel tears run down my checks but don’t know why. Maybe in relief or that this for some reason this feels like a goodbye. I wrap my arms around his neck and bury my face in. “We can still have sleep over’s.” I mumble into his neck.
I felt and heard him chuckle. “Promise?’ he asked.
I nodded.
He pulled back a little so his forehead was resting on mine. “Sorry, how I acted earlier. It just felt like-“
I cut him off, saying, “Goodbye?”
“Yeah and I can’t say goodbye to you, Aubrey. I love you.” He says
“I love you too.” I whisper and kiss him. He deepens it asking for entrance which I don’t even hesitate to give him. His hands slide to the hem of my shirt and he slips his hands in rest them on my hips. I press myself even closer to him wanting to be closer. I slip my hands down the length of his chest, making him pull me closer. I grab his shirt in both of my hands and yank it up and over his head. We only broke the kiss for a moment but then his lips came crashing back down.
I took a step forward making him take one back until we hit the bed and we landed on it. I straddled him, never breaking the kiss. His hands slip under my shirt running his hand up and down my back.Then he slowly pulls my shirt up to take it off, I pause startled. For some reason a wave of self-conscienceness came over me. But then he smiled and leaned up, cupping my check in his hand rubbing his thumb over my check and whispered, “you’re beautiful.” I slowly lean back allowing him to slip it over my head. As soon as the cloth leaves my face, I look down to see him gazing at me. A look that just draws me in closer. We lock in passionate bliss, as our bodies rub together it feels like we are growing closer and closer.
As I feel his hand run down the side of my body I think, Landon is the guy i would love my first time to be with. He slowly and gently runs his hand acrossed my breast then down my stomach. I feel an overcoming tingling sensation come over my body as he get closer to the top of my jeans. Then he runs his fingers around the top seam of my pants. I pull back ever so slightly and look into his eyes, he looks back with a reassuring glance that makes all of my doubts fade away.
I lean back in and let my lips gently rest on his and the tingling starts all over again. Next thing that I knew he was thrusting me over on to my back. I look over at him and he looks back at me, starting with my eyes then working his way to my toes. He leans over and kisses my chest, then works his way down towards my belly button. Landon reaches up and starts pulling on the button of my jeans, all of my emotions overwhelmed i reach up and grab his hand. Startled he looks at me with a jerk, "Do you want to stop?" he askes. "Well....," i whisper slightly out of breath, "I-"
He cuts me off saying, "everything will be okay." He leans back in starting with my neck, which engages all of these feelings that i've never felt before. He slowly runs his fingers down my side, back across my stomach and unbuttons my pants. I feel his hand slowly go under my underwear and between my legs, which sends a shiver through my body. In one motion my pants where off and he was on top of me. We meet eye to eye, he leans in for a kiss........
After that everything was pure bliss. It was painful because it was my first time but Landon made sure to be careful and was kind and gentle. When we were done I cuddled up next to his side, closing my eyes. He kissed the top of my head murmuring, “I love you.”
I fell asleep feeling loved and content and everything a girl that is in love should feel after a night like this one.
