"Jas" I hear "Jas!" I turn my head to Sammy who was holding my door open. I shake my head snapping out of my short daydream and look at her
"Sorry" I say getting out of the car to follow her up to the pack house.
"Breathe" she says
"Huh? Oh" I breathe regular, how did I not realise I wasn't breathing. Once I breathe in, I can smell his scent and as the slight breeze blows behind me in the direction of the house, I am sure he can smell me. His scent called to me and I am doing everything I can to not drop the things in my hands and run to him.
I say hello and converse with a few people, introducing those who don't know Sammy not only as Zeke's mate but my assistant. I could hear more laughter from outside when Sammy leaves me for food which her mate had for her on a plate waiting. I smile at Zeke who gives me the thumbs up as I walk through to the back of the house and waving to a couple of people as I go
"Jasmine baby, you made it!" I roll my eyes at my mother. I look around her table to find the previous alpha couple along with a few of the outstanding pack warriors who bowed their heads to me because I am their commanders daughter. I rolled my eyes at the satisfaction coming from my fathers smirk
'Chill out old man' I say through our mind link which causes Xavier and my old man to laugh.
"Come on mum, you knew I was going to come after I finished my work" she smiles sitting me down with her to eat
"You need to eat honey you are looking awfully skinny" she says when I hear Addison behind me
"Lily, she is just too hot to handle right now" Addison says placing her arms around my shoulders
"Mum do these muscles look like they need more?" I flex my biceps at her "What about these abs?" I show my sculpted stomach to her whilst lifting my shirt up "Or these curves?" I wave my hands over my hips. Not to be cocky or anything but I do look good. And I thank the hard work I put myself through to get this way.
"Ok honey, you look amazing... You can sit back down and finish your food, you may be a grown woman now but I am still your mother" She says making me chuckle hugging her as I finish eating the food she placed in front of me. I could smell him near but I didn't to look around for him
"What did you say to him yesterday?" I whisper. She knew who I was talking about
"I said you were tired and will see you tomorrow, so just let her rest but earlier he was a little pissed Addison and Kylie got to see you and he didn't" I chuckle along with her yet I felt how hurt he was as well "Let me tell you, he doesn't know what you look like now with this transformation you have so he doesn't know what to say to you but he knows your scent is setting him off in ways a mate does" I laugh again
"Yes a beautiful transformation" my father says beaming a proud smile across the table at me and I can't help but return that smile.
"A bloody hot one babes" Addisons says draping her arm around my shoulder I stand up and walk away with her "Truly babes, with all this training that I do, I still can't look as good as you especially seeing as you are one hot MILF" we laugh when I feel two hands wrap around my waist and then I can feel a gaze on me. I know whose eyes they are, but instead of looking for that one particular gaze, I look down at my son who is beaming his incredible smile at me
"Mum, I thought you were busy" he says making me smile
"Sammy wanted to come so I thought I would too" I watch him run off and finally decide to turn my head in the direction I could feel those eyes. Those blue eyes pulling me in with a slow smile creeping on his face causing me to send a small smile his way which I couldn't resist giving because if you see what I see right now. He is the most handsome thing I have ever laid eyes on apart from my son of course.
"Looks like someone caught sight of you" I barely hear her when 'mate' is screaming in my head. His blue eyes staring straight into mine as if time had just stood still. Everything around us standing still for that moment when the words leaving our lips at the same time
"Mate" we both say smiling, Addison gasps beside me which snaps me out of my daze. Aiden just stands there then shakes his head, I hesitate to look away but not long enough for a girl to wrap her arms around his waist.
I growl but then shake my head at him "Some things still haven't changed" I turn my head away walking towards my parents when I hear another growl that said my name made me stop in my tracks. I do everything not to submit to him and face him calling but my sons voice pulls me away from the distraction of Aiden's voice and command that sent shivers down my spine
"Mum are you going back to do some work?" He asks taking my hand "I'll come back with you" I smile shaking my head
"You can stay and play, come home with your grandparents" I kneel down giving him a kiss as he holds onto my necklace. It's this little thing we do, I touch his bracelet and he touches my necklace and we say "I love you" At the same time.
We've only had each other in his early years and my necklace was the first thing he grabbed when he was strong enough, funny enough this was a gift from Aiden on my sixteenth birthday and I have never taken it off, his bracelet belonged to Aiden
"Blair let me take your car back home please, I really need to go" I fought everything to hold the tears back as Blair hands them to me without hesitation. I could feel Aiden's eyes on my back
"Stay sis" He pleads glancing behind me when I shake my head "Ok, I'll come by with mum and dad before we go to Addisons place" I nod my head and move away when my mum stops me
"Baby, talk to him" my mum whispers
"You guys didn't tell me he had a girlfriend" I turn back to see Aiden standing a few people away from me "I knew it was a bad idea to come home, the only reason I'm home is because of Addison"
"What about Kalebs needs?" She says. I couldn't help but feel selfish at that very moment when she mentioned my sons name. His son which he doesn't know yet. I close my eyes and take a deep breathe. I felt rejected, but when I turn seeing Aidens soft gaze on mine it made me see what I fell in love with and what I still felt.
At the end of this, he has a girlfriend or whatever she is to him at this moment or just for the party. You never know with some alphas.
"But baby, its" I cut my mother off with a glare
"Please bring my son home" I kiss my mums cheek then turn to Addison "Babes I'll see you at yours in a bit" I kiss her on the cheek as she nods as I walk away I could still feel him following me
"Jasmine wait!" I hear him call behind me, his voice making the shiver of lust trail down my back "Please" he catches up to me by the car when he growls quietly in my ear "Mate" Like he was glad it is me and knew what his voice was doing to me
"Hi" he says and I nearly burst into tears at seeing him again. His very well defined body was bigger, much much bigger than I remember but still so sexy. His blue eyes always held me in place like he was casting a spell on me. A strand of hair fell away onto my face and I felt his hand reach out, grasp it lightly before putting it behind my ear.
I felt the warmth of his touch increasing the shivers making me go weak as my mind screamed 'MATE' "Hi" I say back "How have you been? You look well" Is that all you can say to him? Gosh not who the fuck was that touching you!! I was mentally bashing myself with those thoughts.
"I have been well sweetness" he says as I sigh at the use of the pet name he gave me in our younger days "You still look very beautiful" He tries to take my hand when I place it behind my back before he could really take a hold of it. His eyes harden in hurt and frowns at me "I always wished you were my mate growing up, I always wondered why I had stronger feelings for you than other girls and I secretly knew why the whole six years I had only thought about you" He takes my hand making the tears fall from my eyes "You are my mate, hush baby I'm yours"
"No, I was led to believe you had a mate the whole time!" I scream pulling my hand away from him "I knew this was a bad idea, your whatever is waiting for you" I turn around opening the door
"Dammit! I'm not letting you do this to me again" He roared stopping me from moving into the drivers seat "Listen she's not my girlfriend and I have never had a mate!" He yelled. Yeah I am stubborn and wasn't listening, he always knew if you want to get through to me, you need to yell at me. Dammit I am still the same.
I push him away and glare at him "Well your bitch is waiting" He didnt say anything to stop me "See things don't change"
"Now I see" I hear him say as I stand by the drivers side door
"What?" I question snapping my gaze to him
"The last day you had in crimson the last time, you saw me with Olivia" I glare at him and fold my arms "I didn't sleep with her, she came over to talk she wanted to be with me but I said my heart belonged to someone else so when she kissed me on the lips at the front door I was shocked she did that" My arms loosen and fall at my side, my hand covers my eyes as I lean back against the car "And you know I'm telling the truth, my heart has always belonged to you, now I can keep you" I feel him reach out for me but I move away
"Mum?" I hear Kaleb and pull my hand away from my face
"Oh thats right you mated already, and there's the result" I felt the tug at my heart and look at him with a shocked expression then shaking my head. I felt the bitterness come from seeing the result of my mateless ways
"Kaleb honey go back to your grandparents son, I'll see you at home ok?"
"Can I just come home now? I'm tired" I smile when I see Aiden looking at him funny as he walks down to me. I could see something stirring within Aiden as his eyes narrowed in on Kaleb. I nod my head to Kaleb as he stands beside me "I told nana Izzy to tell nana I was coming home with you" I nod my head when Aiden snaps his head up to me
"Nana Izzy?" He whispers
"Yeah my other nana"
"Kaleb in the car now please" I quickly say as Aiden stares at Kaleb in shock then turns his head slowly to me. So many emotions run through Aidens eyes as I stare into them "I... Hmmm Aiden I, can we talk about this later? I promise to tell you everything I swear" The tears fall from my eyes, Aiden stares at me and just nods
**FLASHBACK**
It is so good to be home. Mum was bugging me for a while to come and bring Kaleb with me for a visit so both sets of grandparents can see him.
Mum and dad were there with me with I gave birth in New Blood territory, stayed with me for a couple of months before going back to tell Alpha Xavier and Isabelle the good news and share photos.
"Oh look at him, he looks exactly like Aiden was when he was a baby" Isabelle says holding him
"But sweetheart you just missed him honey, he went in search for his mate" I smile "But at least you brought Kaleb here, he is so adorable"
"He left just this morning sweetheart"
"Please don't tell him about Kaleb, I mean let me tell him please" they both look at each other and nod their heads

"You are looking well since you've had Kaleb" Addison says
"Yeah a two year old can do that to you" I laugh
"I just heard this afternoon, Aiden found his mate" We overhear behind us at the bar "God dammit, I wished everyday when I turned eighteen that I would be it"
"Babes, I'm sure he will still accept Kaleb" my heart completely shattered at this point but I had to stay strong for my son
**END OF FLASHBACK**
**AIDEN**
She stood there all in black. Long hair tied in a ponytail cascading down her back to stop in the mid section of her back.
Her light brown skin looked delectable, it always had been. Her son was a splitting image of her, but his skin was a little fairer and when I first met him yesterday night his eyes held blue in them whereas hers held a slight tint of brown amongst the grey. He also looked rather familiar. The tattoo that was barely hidden under her shirt made her look so hot.
I've known for a long time she was my mate. When I missed her by days after I was on the search for my mate, I knew I had to find her again but everywhere I went she was no where to be found
**Flashback**
"Hey guys!" I say walking into Lily and Nates house. I take a deep breathe, that scent smells so good. Lily looked at me strange as I search the whole house, that scent was everywhere
"Hey you just missed Jasmine" Ethan says. That scent hit me a little more when he walked through the door. He had a jumper in his hands as I stared at it "Oh Jasmine left her jersey in the car" I snatched it out of his hands and inhaled deeply
"Mate" I growled. I heard something smash on the ground. I look up seeing Nate and Lily cleaning up a broken glass
"She's your mate?" Blair asks then looks to his mum. My parents sitting there looking at each other as if they knew something but wouldn't say
"She is his" Lily says and walks over to me "When the time is right she'll come home, don't try and find her because you won't" I frown
"But you could tell me exactly where" she nods her head
"But then by the time you get there you will only just miss her by days"
"What do you expect me to do?" I ask. Lily sighs and looks to Nate
"Wait for her Aiden, try to save your heart for her" Nate says giving me a death glare. I was waiting for more when "Get another girl pregnant, I swear best friends son or not I will come and chop your balls off" Yup there it goes
Looks like I have to wait for her. I'll always wait for her but it won't stop me from trying to find her anyway
**end of flashback**
"So you are coming around tonight right?" Marcus asks "Come on cousin, she leaves tomorrow for London and won't be back until a few days before the wedding... You always go on about her and now she's here you are stuck for words, where's the fearless alpha I have grown to know?"
I frown snapping out of my trance "The moment his mate stepped back into his life, the guy has gone out the window and now his mate has a kid?"
"Look, things have happened for a reason, you'll soon find out the answers to those questions brewing in your head" he says as I roll my eyes at him "Anyway come for drinks, you both have a lot to talk about... See you in half an hour" he says waving with Addison now under his arm
I felt an arm pull me aside, I didnt like the feel of them touching me but I had to stop this thing.
"Look Whitney" I say turning to face the blonde
"Jasmine looks tougher than before and would probably break me in two, trouble I try to avoid but I can't say the same for the other girls you use to have sex with... Just warning you now because you are still my friend first, I won't say a word" Shit she took that better than I thought and I didnt have to say anything.
She smiles walking away as I drive home to get ready. How can I get through to her? She leaves again tomorrow but the next time she comes back won't be for another few days, I couldn't take it the last time she left but this time round, just being away from her is making it very hard.
I pulled up to Marcus's place about an hour later, Marcus was at the door shaking his head at me then smiling like he knew something I didnt. "What took you so long cuz?" I chuckle slapping him on the back trying to brush off the nerves I had inside of me. "Cuz" He says looking at me straight into my eyes "You'll be fine, have a drink to loosen up a little"
I could hear laughter and music coming from inside the house. I wore jeans, chucks, t-shirt and my favourite black nike top and walked inside following Marcus. Thats when I caught sight of her. It is a little cold out, she wore a hooded thick cardigan, wet looking type tights, these sexy as boots and a tight cream top that showed a bit of her stomach. I was going crazy inside when I saw the necklace she had around her neck, the pull of the mate bond made me move faster towards her. She still has it, she still has the necklace I bought for her
I watch her stiffen and turn around with her camera in her hand taking photos, she takes a photo of me as I approached her
"Hi" She says with a smile
"Hi" I whisper back and lean over her brushing my hand across her arm to grab the drink that Marcus was handing "Looks like everyone is here" I smile at her, having my eyes solely on her. I didn't move from where I stood only to have her look up at me. The small specks of brown in her grey eyes flickering back and forth to a deeper colour close to black. I had to hide the smile as I could see her fighting back her wolf, as I am currently doing the same
"Yeah, I've just been catching up with everyone and taking photos" I could feel the tension between us building "I leave tomorrow morning"
"I know Marcus told me, what about your son?" I withheld the growl from knowing she was leaving me again
"He is staying, just Sammy and I are going" I turn my head to hear Sammy scream out a 'hell yeah girly time' I laugh when Addison runs over to us and grabs her in for a hug
"I can't believe you are doing this for me" She says "Aiden look, she brought me a ticket to London with her" Addison pulls her away disrupting our closeness into another hug while holding her plane ticket in hand.
"Babes that's because I missed your hens night while in the states" I watch the smile form on her face. I could feel her wolf begging to be in my arms, but at the same time she was content with being half a foot length away from me now, yet I can still feel the warmth flow off her body to settle on mine
"Thank you so much, I gotta go pack... I'm not going to be drinking tonight now neither should you" Addison points out to Jasmine
"I'm not drinking much babes don't worry" Jasmine turns her head to me "Can we go talk?" I could tell she was a little comfortable being around me, I thank the mate bond for that
We walk outside together, me letting her walk out before me and I couldn't help but stare at how toned her legs are. "You know you could have let me explain to you all those years ago, we could have still talked to each other and you wouldn't have been avoiding me, emails and letters and all" I say as we stop by the edge of the balcony that look out to their backyard and pool
"I know, I know you never meant to hurt me I should've come and asked you straight out but I was going through a lot and had to raise Kaleb on my own, work and travel with him so I never really had time... Now" she was taking deep breaths
"Now?" I ask
"I shouldn't listen to rumours, my family and you know the answers to my questions, I didn't know you were my mate until a couple days ago and that's when my family pushed me to come here... I was afraid you wouldn't accept me" I sigh looking over at her as she watched me for a reaction
"What?" She questions as I frown "You have that look like you wanna say something"
I close my eyes and chug down the last drop of my drink "I've always known you were my mate"
"What? I mean how, umm when did you know?"
"The day you came back when I went off to find my mate, your mum stopped me because of your travelling" I could see the tears fall from her eyes "It would've taken me long to get to you but I still tried anyway"
"So many people hiding things from me, I just want the truth for once" She cries out loud. I take her hand pulling her close "You don't want to do that, you'll hate me"
"Because you had a son to someone else?" She shook her head and places her forehead on my chest
"He is yours" She mutters into my chest. My heart stopped for a second as those words left her mouth.
"Are you sure?" I ask when I feel her hands playing with the bottom of my jumper, I couldn't help but want her hands to slip under and feel my skin.
"The day I came back to see you before I left the first time, I was two months pregnant, I wanted to stay with you I came to tell you but when I saw you with Olivia... It all fell out the window, I was over come with so much emotion, then I came back the second time to try and let you get to know your son but you weren't here" I could see every bit of it was the truth. I stepped back and rubbed the side of my face.
I didn't know what to say, I was speechless. I finally get my mate well I think I fully have her then to find out her son is mine. Now that I think about it, he has my features, looks like me on some angles.
I would love to be a father dont get me wrong but I missed out on everything. I missed out the knowing, watching her stomach grow with the life inside her that was mine. I step back a little as she reluctantly lets me go. Even stepping away from her was tugging at my heart
I hear a strangled sob escape her lips "Every time Zeke brought him here who did you think he was?" She asks as I shrug
"I didn't really get to meet him, I was always busy with pack business" Really I didn't think to question whose kid he was, because he got along so well with the other kids and I never said hello to him because he was too little when I saw him last.
"If you are going to reject me don't reject him" Those words cut me deep "It would shatter my heart if you reject him because you didn't know he was yours"
"All this time you could've emailed me to tell me he was mine" I put both hands over my face as I lean on the ledge of the balcony "I mean I've missed out so much already"
"Be mad at me but not at him" She says, I turn my head to look at her taking a deep breath. Every fibre of my being is telling me to take her into my arms to hold her close and say to her 'we will be fine'
"In all honesty, I can never stay mad at you... Just you doubted my love for you from the start" I say stepping towards her "You forget I was never like my cousin, if it wasn't for Addison he wouldn't have come to talk to you and apologise" I pointed to my chest "I would never do that to you, I would've wanted to know of any child that was mine especially if he came from you" I pulled her close, inching my face closer to hers and placing my hands on either side of her face "Mate bond or none, I have only loved you but you need time to decide what you really want" I give her a gentle kiss on the cheek before stepping away "Have a safe trip to London"
