Alexis's POV

I jog downstairs, slipping on my ankle socks. I nearly slip when I see my mom, sitting at the table. A blank expression sits on her face, as I squint. I finish walking down the hardwood stairs and sit across from her at the table.

"Are you okay?" I ask. We haven't talked since the dinner last night.

"Other than a 13 year old boy attacking you yesterday?" she says, surprisingly calm.

"He tried. He didn't," I stutter.

"There's something wrong with his family," she sighs, pacing back and forth.

My mind races. I can't tell her about Chandler. I barely know what is happening with him. I assumed he's a vampire, but he can't be. Like I said, they don't exist.

"Mom, their just-"

"I don't know, Alexis. I want to keep you safe. Because I love you," she pauses, looking in my eyes, "I don't want you seeing Chandler anymore."

Her words flash in my mind again and again.

"What? No!" I blurt.

"I'm sorry! I just can't put you under the influence of that boy!"

"He has a name! It's Chandler, and you can't stop me from seeing him!" I shout, picking up my book bag in anger.

"If you keep talking to him, your birthday is off!"

"Fine! Cancel my birthday! Money can't buy me love anyway!" I cry, about to exit the house for school.

"Stay away from Chandler!" she yells, finally.

I slam the door and speed walk. I blink, as tears run down my face. Just then, Chandler comes from around the corner. He jogs toward me.

"Hey!" he smiles brightly, I don't bother making eye contact, "what's wrong?"

I look straight forward, keeping my eyes off of his.

"Talk to me," Chandler says, walking next to me.

"My mom said I'm not supposed to talk to you anymore," I sigh.

"What? Why?"

"Yesterday."

"Oh, Gray got sent back to boarding school."

"No, Chandler," I say, stopping, "I've been curious ever since we met. Tell me, what's going on? Is there something you're hiding from me?"

Chandler's eyes trace the sidewalk, and I try to catch his attention. His guilty eyes look into mine. He licks his lips and glues his eyes to me.

"I can't tell you," he whispers, as my mouth sort of drops, "yet."

"When will you tell me? Don't you trust me?"

"Yeah. Alexis, I've had really," he sighs, "never mind."

"On Friday, at the party, I will tell you. I promise," he says.

"Okay then," I sigh.

"Hey, is your mom mad at you?" he smirks.

"I think so," I reply.

"How's about we make her more mad?" he says, giving me a cocky grin.

-

Chandler drives over the speed limit, the windows wide open. I laugh, his hair messing up. He's smiling, something I've never seen for awhile.

"Slow down!" I laugh.

"Where are we going anyway?"

"You'll find out," he smirks.

-

Chandler's car pulls up in front of a creepy, abandoned apartment building, at least I think it's abandoned. A shiver runs up my spine.

"Chandler, what are we doing here?" I nervously ask.

"Shhh," he whispers, grinning, which turns me on.

"Okay."

He parks the SUV in the back. We both hop out of the car. Chandler suspiciously looks around.

"What are we doing?" I ask in a loud whisper.

"Be quiet," he whispers, putting his index finger to my lips like he did before.

He knocks on a black painted door with no handle. We wait a minute, the wind getting stronger. It's cloudy today.

The door opens a slit, startling me. Chandler shows the man a card, as he nods. Chandler grins, turns to me, and smirks. He grabs my shirt, pulls me up to his body, feeling his heartbeat. We quickly slip inside the building.

A tall built, muscular man secretly guides us to another door. Chandler grins at me, grasping my hand. I jump from the sudden touch, and we connect hands.

Why am I doing this? We aren't even a couple. I'm going to get in deep trouble. But then again, I have a lot of feelings for Chandler...

"This way," the man slightly grins.

"Thanks, Brent," Chandler says as we open the next door and detach our hands.

There's a red sign that reads, 18+.

The strong scent of cigarettes fill my nostrils, causing me to crinkle my nose. Chandler chuckles, as heavy techno music fill my ears. The thump of bass vibrates on the floor. Lots of people are here, ranging from their teens, to early twenties.

It's a decent flat, pretty dark, though. It's very big, and there's more stairs. A DJ plays music hardcore near the dance floor. People are dancing, taking shots, and smoking. Definitely not a place for young teens.

"Where are we?" I ask loudly.

"Me, Sam, some other friends usually come here to hangout."

"How did you get it? It's for 18-"

He looks at me with his deep blue eyes and pale skin. He softly shushes me. He then smiles and shows me a card in his pocket. Fake ID.

"You're so bad," I grin, knowing how much Chandler is changing from a good boy to bad.

"I've been told," he smirks.

A girl, smoke in hand, checks Chandler out. I glare, then interrupted by coughing. Smoke fills my lungs. Chandler laughs at me, as he drags me over to another spot.

"Want a drink?" he asks, handing me red liquor.

"Um, Chandler, I don't drink," I smile nervously.

"Try it."

"Seriously, no," I say, as he takes a shot, "woah."

"It's fine, good girl. That's what I like about you," Chandler smiles.

"Let's go upstairs before it gets worse," he chuckles, grabbing my wrist.

Me and Chandler make our way up the stairs, a long hallway lays in front of us. He leads me to a medium sized room with a pool table.

"This is our main spot," Chandler grins, other teen boys playing pool and betting money.

"Oh."

"Hey, Hunter," Chandler says to a boy about his age.

"Hey, it's been awhile! Who's this chick?" Hunter smirks, scanning my body.

"This is my friend Alexis."

"Friend? Dude, she's hot," Hunter smiles, shooting his green eyes at me.

"Sexy," another boy adds with shaggy, light brown hair.

I can feel myself blush.

"Ron? Really?" Chandler shakes his head, a little red.

My phone vibrates in my pocket. My eyes widen, slipping it out of my back pocket. It's from Monica.

Where are you?

I text back.

I'm with Chandler

I put my phone away.

Chandler and I sit on a couch together still watching the boys play pool.

"Sorry about them," Chandler whispers in my ear, tickling a little.

"It's fine, I don't mind the attention," I grin, not looking at him.

A foul scent fills my nose. Not smoke, but something different. I glance over at Chandler, and he's smoking. Not something I've ever seen him do before. He's smoking weed.

"What are you doing?" I ask.

He looks over at me with those lusting, innocent eyes.

"He's smoking, if you'd like to try some," Ron smirks, handing me a lit one.

I've definitely never smoked before, but I've drank. Never to the point I've gotten wasted, just a little funny. I hesitate, then realized that I only live once.

"Come on, pretty girl," Hunter adds.

Chandler plainly smirks at me, being the bad ass he is. I take the drug from Ron's hand and put it in my mouth. I inhale it slowly, feeling it go to my lungs. I slowly exhale, breathing out the stuff. I immediately start coughing as everyone bursts into laughter.

Chandler pulls me to another room, as I can't stop smoking it.

"You don't know these guys, they are bad news," Chandler says, serious.

"But you're smoking too," I pout.

"I don't want anything happen to you, Alexis. Listen, there has been some really bad things happen here in the past. I couldn't even imagine if it happened to you," Chandler says.

"Okay, fine," I say, finishing off the smoke.

A few minutes later, I find myself acting funny. Ron has attempted to kiss me, but I was at least smart enough to walk away.

"Alexis," tipsy Chandler says, "you're sexy."

"No shit," adds Hunter.

"Not too bad yourself," I laugh.

I smile at Chandler, as his eyes trace back to mine. I don't feel like myself. I feel guilty, terrible, sick and weird. Skipping school with Chandler? This is too much, which makes me wanna rebel even more.

"I want to play pool!" I yell, louder than my comfort zone.

"I'll teach the lady," Ron smirks, I walk over to him.

He adjusts his body towards mine, behind me. He helps me with the stick, as I hit the ball across the table. He laughs, looking in my eyes. I smell the alcohol in his breath. Ron moves his shaggy hair out of his hazel eyes. He leans in and kisses me, I can't back away. Right at that moment, Ron squeezes my butt.

I break the kiss, Chandler's jealous eyes darting at Ron. He stands up, pushing him away from me.

"Chandler!" I shout, Ron pushing back.

"Don't ever touch her! I know what you did to Hayley!" Chandler yells.

"You don't know shit!" Ron argues.

"Don't touch her!" Chandler yells in violent anger, his eyes change a color for a millisecond.

I blink in disbelief, his teeth slightly mirroring Grayson's. He still looks normal, though.

Next thing I know, they're chilling each other up. I try to break them apart, as anger boils up in me. My phone buzzes constantly, I ignore it.

Suddenly, calls of our names come from the hallway. I look up and in the doorway is Sam, Colin and Eric. Chandler's best friends, ready to kick some ass.
