"Toni...Toni!," I heard my manager call as I slowly began to come to. I don't even remember falling asleep. "What time is it?" I asked, clearing my throat to erase the sleep. "It's almost four," she replied earning a long groan. I was currently on my way to New York to do an interview to help promote my new album. I apparently was only sleep for an hour, felt like much more. "How much longer till we get there?" I questioned. "About an hour or two, depending on traffic. You know your phone has been going off none stop. Do us all a favor an answer who or whatever it is?" she pleaded in her usual dramatic way. "Geez, my bad," I chuckled as I searched for my phone. After about 10 minutes of chaotic searching I--well we (including a very tired and annoyed manage), found it beneath the drivers seat. "Thanks guys" I smirked as I received groans and eye rolls from the crew. As I finally got to see who was "blowing up my phone" I couldn't help but blush with a chuckle. "So," my manager spoke up, probably seeing me light up, "what was it that was interrupting my beauty sleep? From the looks of it I'd say it was the Lyon boy." Her simply saying his caused another blush and a hand to cover your face. "Oh lord, girl," she rolled her eyes and threw the covers back over her eyes.
I decided to give him a call back, it was only fair. "Damn Toni," I heard him speak after about the third ring, "you gotta nigga over here all worried and shit. Almost put out an Amber Alert on your ass." I couldn't help but laugh, "you do know that Amber Alerts are for children...right?" I heard him smack his lips, oh God those lips. "You know what I meant T. How come you ain't answer the phone? I called you like 3 times and sent you a text. You know how thirsty that make me look?" I couldn't help but chuckle, "hey, I didn't make you do it." "Toni!" he called my name, clearly frustrated. "Hakeem relax, I was asleep. I'm sorry I missed your two ca--three," he corrected earning an eye roll from, "and I know you rolling your eyes." My face must look like a tomato right now, how could he possibly know that?
"Well I am sorry I missed your THREE phone calls and one text message," I apologized. "I guess I can forgive you," he teased. "You know, It's kinda cute when you get all protective and worried," I told him, earning a fake gag from my make up artist. I quickly swated her away. "Yeah well, what can I say. I am a Lyon after all," he replied with his usual cocky tone. "Quit smiling," I shot back, knowing exactly what he was doing. "How you know I was smiling?" he asked. "The same way you knew I was rolling my eyes," I chuckled. "Guess we really know each other," he replied before I heard someone yelling his name in the background. "Let me guess, Cookie?" I laughed as he smacked his teeth. "Yeah man, I gotta go. I'll see you when you get back...hurry your ass up T." "I'll try Keem," I laughed, inwardly wishing this trip would go faster, "be good!" I heard him chuckle, "ain't I always?..Ite T." "Bye"
