Chapter 20_Kidnapped
Jordan’s P.O.V.
Waking up I was instantly attacked with a massive headache with the events of what had previously happened. Gingerly rubbed my stomach, looking down I noticed I was still in my old clothes and no blood stains, ensuring my babies were still alive. I sighed in relive, looking around I was in a small cellar with nothing but the uncomfortable bed I was seated on no pillow or blanket, just a thin uncomfortable bed.
Walking up to the steel bars I looked out at the cell in front of me it was empty, by the looks of it they all were. I tried the mind link but it seems Chase blocked everyone out including me, I’m sure it was accidental. Right now I needed to think of a way to get out of here.
I was startled by the door to the cellar’s opening. It was a man about the same age as me he looked like he didn’t want to be here. “You must be the famous Jordan Alpha Hayden has told us much about you.” He mumbled quietly. “What do you want with me?” I asked, my finger’s wrapped around the bars keeping me in.
“Trust me it’s not important right now, just listen to Hayden when he says to do something and you’ll be fine, I here to help you believe it or not.” He smiles slightly. “I know he wasn’t threatening Chase for just land what does he want?” I asked leaning on the bars.
Looking around he turns back to me, “There’s this old folks tale that the lake on that territory has power’s that can make anything happen. There was once a witch who was mated to a werewolf, but it was forbidden back then so they eloped and moved into that area. They were happily married for the first three years that was when the witches’ family found them. They were furious with her they took no mercy. They bound her, mate and slowly killed him while she was forced to watch. The original plan was to lock her away in a cell underground for eternity to keep them apart, but they found out she was pregnant with their first child, a hybrid. So they brought her to the lake tied her up and drowned her. The tale says her powers were locked into the necklace she wore that was lying in the bed of the lake and whoever had it would obtain supreme power.” He says grimly.
I gasp, “That’s awful, they killed her because she was with the person she loved, that just isn’t right.” He nodded. “And Hayden is gone crazy with it he wants to dominate the world, he wants supreme power and he doesn’t care how he gets it.” He continues. “How does he rule the pack?” I asked out of curiosity.
“Like a demon bent on destruction, then again he IS a demon bent on destruction. Nobody in the pack is happy here, but they can’t leave or he’ll kill them we learnt that the hard way.” He responds. “Why do you want to help me aren’t I the enemy?” I asked, shifting my weight to the other foot. “That’s for me to know for now, you’ll find out in time don’t worry.” He smiled. “Can I at least know your name?” I asked. “Jace.” He smiled.
“Sounds a lot like Chase.” I muttered feeling the void of missing my mate. “Don’t worry you’ll be with him before you know it.” I sighed looking at my toes. “How long have I been here?” I asked.
“You’ve been out since yesterday.”
“Here you need to eat, it’s not only you to think about anymore.” He grins producing a plate of grilled cheese sandwiches and a bottle of water. I gratefully took them and began to eat slowly. “Thanks.” I muttered handing him the plate.
“So how many pups are you expecting?” he asked looking curiously at my growing tummy. I smiled proudly, “Twins, Chase couldn’t be any happier like he won the lottery.” I laughed. “Sure looks like more.” He mumbled. I heard movement upstairs and immediately shut up, “Look I have to go, here you’ll need these it makes cold at night, don’t worry I’ll get you out of here I promise.”
Handing me a bag containing a blanket, a pillow, and two bottles of water. “Thanks.” I smiled as he walked away.
Chase’s P.O.V
I was going crazy he’s been missing for twenty three hours, seven minutes going on eight. I’ve been going through battle plans in my head ever since. The meeting has long been over, but we still need time to plan. I blocked my mind-link to keep anyone from disturbing me.
When everyone heard of their Luna’s kidnapping they were furious to say the least, the guys were fuming probably as much as me and her parents were devastated. After the meeting the guys stayed for a couple hours before they had to leave.
All I could think about was Jordan and our pups, I hope they’re fine. I don’t know what I’d do if something bad happened to them. Hayden was going to pay one way or another. Tomorrow we start planning the best strategy to attack. ‘Can’t go into the forest blind you might walk over a cliff’. I thought
My wolf is only sulking trying to get into contact with his mate but failing. He’s whining and nipping at the block but nothing seems to be working. I guess I’ll have to try again later. I refused to give up that easily on her not when I just found her. With that I fell into a blissful sleep of the future I wanted with Jordan.
I heard the giggling of a little boy, “Daddy!!!” he squeals as his mother tickles him. Walking up I noticed it was Jordan tickling him and it was me he was calling. “Daddy, save me mommy keeps tickling me!!!” he squeals again. Walking up I grab him out of Jordan’s hold swooshing him around before landing him on my shoulders.
“Be careful now Chase.” Jordan warns rubbing her six month pregnant belly. I kiss her cheek and took the little boy by the lake with Jordan close behind. “Brody don’t go too deep okay, daddy’s not always going to be able to save you okay?” Jordan scolded the little boy mildly. “Yes mommy.” He smiled showing off his pearly whites. With that he jumped into the lake.
“It would have been three years today I lost the second baby.” She whispered. I glared, “How many times do I have to tell you it’s not your fault it was his besides I thought we agreed not to dwell on the past huh?” I asked walking up to her and embracing her in a hug despite her belly.
“OW!!!” she cried. “Jeez Chase I’m telling you as soon as this kid could walk he’s joining football.” She whined. I smiled placing my hand on her stomach as I felt the baby kick again. “Why didn’t we find out what we’re having again?” I asked looking at her as we sat under one of the trees by the doc.
“Cause I want to see your face when we have another boy.” She grinned childishly looking at our son with adoration. “Keep dreaming babe.” I smirked kissing her lips. “EWWWWWW, daddy stop taking mommy’s temp..a..ture!!!” he shouted from the shallow end of the lake. Looking at him he was pouting and had his arms crossed over his chest. I laughed, “Okay son.” I smiled he seemed to forget about our kiss and went back to splashing around the water.
“Tell me why you told him that again?” I asked smirking. “Because it was the only thing I could think of besides at least I thought of something.” She nipped my ear playfully. I rolled her over so she was beneath me, “Your sooooo going to regret that Mrs. Anderson.” I smirked. “Looking forward to it Mr. Anderson.” She smiled.
I woke with a gasp looking around it was just a dream, but it felt sooooo real. Getting out of bed I showered and headed to my office I need to get Jordan back and NOW……
