THIS CHAPTER IS GOING TO START REPEATING AND CUTTING OFF SENTENCES TOWARDS THE MIDDLE SO READ FROM A COMPUTER OR LAPTOP IF YOU DON'T WANT IT TO BE CUT OFF!!!

I changed Theodore's character to somebody who looks a little bit younger so the new Theodore is in the multimedia. But as crazy as Wattpad's been acting the past few months, I'm sure y'all won't be able to see he picture, so the new person playing him is Lucas Coly.

And I know my updates have been REALLY inconsistent ALL summer but I've really been busy this week. I to go to my uncle's funeral Monday, then ta couple days ago I had to go up to my school and get my schedule and locker. For some reason, I have some stupid Advances in Literature and Writing on my schedule and I can't get out of the class but I've really been busy helping my sister get ready to leave. She left for college on Saturday and moving into her dorm so she's cleaning out the room and I'm redesigning since we share a room but I've been helping her get ready so please don't be mad that my updates aren't consistent. I'm trying. :)

Theodore III

"Fuck. Fuck. Fuck."

I was staring at the three pregnancy tests I forced Nicole to take. I knew she was pregnant for a fact but what the hell am I gonna do with a baby and I'm only 16? Lindsey's rude ass won't cover for me and I can't take care of Nicole and a baby. All of this just doesn't seem real, that's why I keep staring at these pregnancy tests. I'm just hoping all of this will go away without me having to say something to Nicole about getting rid of this baby. She knows we're not ready for a baby, so she needs to give up this dream of getting pregnant because it's not gonna happen especially if my family finds out.

I climbed out of my bed and stuffed the pregnancy tests into my pants pockets before I slightly pulled my bedroom door open and looked down each side of the hallway. Grandma and Grandpa weren't here right now but I just wanted to be safe. I made a dash for the bathroom down the hall and stepped inside. I pulled off a long roll of tissue and began wrapping the pregnancy tests up in the balled up tissue. I grabbed the trashcan and bent down. I took a deep breath before plunging my hand into all the trash. I pushed all the trash to the side before placing the wrapped up pregnancy tests at the bottom of the trashcan.

That garbage can was filthy as hell but it beat Grandma finding the pregnancy tests. I put the trashcan back where it was before I stood up and started washing my hands. I scrubbed my hands clean before I went back to my room so I could call Mama back since I haven't talked to her in a couple days. I've been so consumed with this whole baby situation that I haven't got a chance to talk to my own Mama. I laid back in my bed and called Mama back.

"Baby!" she exclaimed, making me laugh.

"What's up Mama? You miss me that much?"

"Yes and I want you to come home."

I smiled. "For real? I miss being home too," I replied. I loved staying with my grandparents but I want to be home. Grandma and Grandpa make me go to church every single day after school and everyday on the weekend. I don't get a chance to hang out with my friends since they're always on my ass about something. I thought staying with Grandma and Grandpa would give me some leeway but they're even stricter than Mama and Pops. "When can I come home?"

She sighed. "When I feel like you're good and ready to come back. It's a lot going on right now and I don't want you home."

"What's going on?"

"Some old friends of me and your Dads popped up a few weeks ago just on some shady shit. Me and your Dad don't trust them but somehow they keep finding stuff out about us like our numbers and where we stay. I just want you to be careful though. If any random people come up to you talking about me, your Dad or Ava then don't listen to them. They're crazy assholes and they're only gonna try to hurt you. Okay?"

I nodded my head. "Yeah Mama, I got it."

"Good. So, tell me how school's going. You still getting F's or did you finally decide to turn over a new leaf and start getting A's? You know, you can't be Valedictorian like I was with all of those F's."

I sighed. "Yeah, I know Mama but I'm doing better. It's only been a week and a half since I started living with Grandma and Grandpa but I've been doing my homework every night and getting A's on it. Does that make you happy?"

"Mhmm. And what about your behavior? I haven't got any calls about you being suspended or in detention, so I'm just gonna take that as your behavior is improving. Please tell me it's getting better."

"It is."

"Alright, I hope you're not lying to me but we're supposed to be having a little family get together this week at our house and your cousin Willie's supposed to be there too."

I frowned. That's some bullshit. Mama already knows I don't get along with Willie so she shouldn't have even invited him over the house. He's not apart of the family. He's my third cousin so he's basically not even blood. And he's never been to any of our family reunions to even know all of the family and I can't stand his ass either, neither can Lindsey. I don't know who's dumb ass decision it was to invite him over since nobody likes him.

"I can't stand him."

"And? Get over that shit," Mama replied. "Willie's your cousin and just because y'all got into one little fight doesn't mean you guys can't set aside your differences. I'm sure you guys have gotten into plenty of fights before and let it go. How come you can't do the same thing this time?"

"Because at a certain time you just get tired of putting up with people's crap. You can't settle your differences because you're tired of the same old crap with that person. I hate him just as much as you hate Miss. Charlotte."

Mama laughed. "Alright, so you hate him a lot then. Oh, we went to see her earlier today."

"About what?"

Your Dad had to talk to her about something but she was on her same ol' shit baby. It wasn't nothing new. As soon as we walked inside of her mediocre house, she started with the insults and name calling. So, I started clapping back on her ass and I put her in her place but your Dad really checked that hoe. She shouldn't be around for a good month or so before she starts back with her same old shit."

I laughed. "Dang Mama, I wish I could've saw that."

"You probably will this week during the family get together. Your dumb ass father thought it was a good idea to invite her over so she could see Isaiah."

I smirked. "A'ight, well you definitely know I'mma be there Mama. You know I got your back if she tries something with you."

"I know you do baby but I highly doubt she'll do anything to me. You know your Dad will check her ass before she gets too out of control," she laughed. "But what's up with you? Do you have any plans for tonight?"

I sighed as I leaned up against my headboard. When does she ever care about what I'm doing? "Nothing. Aubrey's gonna come over and we just gon' chill, that's all. He's staying the night too but what's up with you?"

She took a deep breath. "Nothing at all. Your Dad's going to be at the club most of the night, Daniel's spending the night at his friend's house, Lindsey's on a date and I don't wanna mess with Ava and Adrian. They need their alone time so I guess you're my last choice."

I frowned. "Really Mama? We're not even gonna be doing anything you're interested in," I replied. Grandma and Grandpa were gonna be gone for the night and some of tomorrow because they had to do something for church so I was gonna have the house all to myself for the night. Aubrey planned on bringing over a couple bottles and some weed and we were gonna order pizza and just chill for the night but now Mama's gonna try to come over and kill the vibe.

"You're already making me feel bad since I have to beg my son to hang out with me but damn Theodore. I haven't seen you in over a week and you barely even call me anymore. I just want to see you. I don't care if Aubrey comes over either. I'll hang out with you guys and I'll even make your favorite."

I smirked. "The deep fried, cheese-stuffed bacon wrapped hamburger and the potato fries?"

She chuckled. "Yeah baby. I know you and Aubrey like those so I'll make them for you guys."

"A'ight, you can come over Mama."

"Okay, I'll see you in a few minutes. I'm right around the corner," she said, even though I knew she was lying. She was probably like 15 minutes away.

I laughed. "Okay. Bye Mama."

"Bye baby. I love you so much."

"Love you too."

I quickly ended the call with her and called Aubrey. I didn't want him bringing any alcohol or weed over here and my Mama's almost here. Mama will kill me if she sees me with either one of those and she'll probably snitch on Aubrey to his Mama and I'm not tryna go to a new school either. I'm just trying to stay on my Mama's good side for as long as I can, well, until I break the news to her about Nicole being pregnant.

"What's up?" Aubrey answered.

"Aye, my Mama's chillin' with us tonight."

"Man what the fu--"

"I know," I groaned, cutting him off, "but she said she was cooking so I'm cool with that but don't bring nothing over here with you. You know how she is."

"Shit. I know but I'mma bring her a little sum' to sip on too especially if she's cooking," he chuckled. "You know, Mama's need a stress reliever too. But I won't bring no weed or nothing like that but I do need to talk to you about something though."

"What's going on?"

"I can't tell you over the phone."

I sighed. "Alright. Is it something bad though?"

"Yes and no but I'll tell you when I get there," he said just as I heard the doorbell ring. "Is that your fine ass Mama I hear at the door? Tell her big daddy said what up doeeee!"

I shook my head and just ended the call, not even bothering to respond to him. I should have just told his ass not to come over once I found out Mama was coming over. I know he's gonna be trying to push up on Mama the exact same way he pushes up on Lindsey, only he doesn't try to grab and kiss all over Mama. He knows not to touch my Mama. I climbed off of my bed and raced down the stairs to greet Mama. I pulled the door open and she stood in front of me with grocery bags in her hands and her pajamas on like she's been planning on coming over here all evening.

She smiled when she saw me. "Aw baby, you've grown so much since the last time I saw you!" she exclaimed. I chuckled and just pulled her into a hug but she pushed me off of her. "Nuh uh put on some clothes first. Is that any way to greet your mother? In your draws and dirty white socks? Where's your shirt at?" she asked.

I sighed. "In my room. I wasn't expecting you to get here so soon. You look beautiful by the way."

She smiled. "I know, I always do baby. But thank you. Can you go put on some clothes please?"

"Yeah, just give me a second."

I turned and walked back up the steps so I could get dressed. If she had told me before hand that she was coming over, I would've had time to get dressed. But I was here by myself. I wasn't gonna walk around with a ton of clothes on when I'm by myself. I jogged up the steps and walked down the long hallway before making a right into my bedroom. I grabbed my t shirt and sweat pants out of my draw and pulled them up just as my phone started ringing. I grabbed it off of my dresser and saw that it was just a picture from Nicole. It was a picture of her with her hand over her flat stomach claiming how happy she was that she was having my baby. I shook my head and just locked my phone before I shoved it into my pocket.

She's outta pocket talking about how happy she is about a baby she was just crying over earlier today. She was bawling her eyes out about how big of a mistake this baby is gonna be but I know exactly how to fix this little mistake. I thought Aubrey was heartless for helping Jaz get an abortion last year but I can see why he did it. I'm against abortions but I'm not ready to be a father right now and she can't have this baby. I don't know what other way to get rid the baby aside from her having an abortion.

I made my way down the steps, only to find Mama letting Aubrey inside the house. His ass was already looking like a perv the way he was staring at Mama's face and trying to get a good look at her body but he couldn't see anything since she was facing him. But I know as soon as she turns around, he'll look at her butt in her basketball shorts.

"I haven't seen you in a couple months Mama," Aubrey commented as Mama pulled him into a hug.

See, Mama was sweet and would do anything for my friends but she didn't know much about dealing with Aubrey. You can't hug him because he likes to cop a feel, especially with the girls he likes. Lindsey and Ava both know better but Mama and Grandma just don't seem to understand that they can't get too close up on him.

"I know. How you been Aubrey? Getting good grades and staying out of trouble?"

He chuckled as he scratched the back of his head. "Staying out of trouble, no. But getting good grades, yes. I was on the honor roll last semester."

I shook my head. For as long as I can remember, Aubrey's always had good grades but he's hardly in class, never does his homework and is always suspended. I don't know when he does his work or how he manages to get on the honor roll every single semester but he always seems to bring it up every time he's around Mama, only for her to say:

Good job baby. Now I just need you to help my son get on the honor roll too."

He smiled. "Don't worry about Theodore. He'll be on the honor roll this semester too. I've been helping him study."

"Stop lying to my Mama," I butted in as I walked down the remainder of the steps.

Aubrey gasped as he placed his hand over his heart. "Why you gotta hate though Theodore? I'm sorry that I'm smart and your Mama loves me more."

Mama laughed as she pushed him. "Shut up Aubrey. Theodore is very smart but he's lazy and doesn't give a damn. He could be on the honor roll too if he wasn't so lazy but look, I'll leave you boys to hang out with each other. I'll be in the kitchen on the phone, so I won't be listening to your conversation."

"You can always hang with us Mama," Aubrey suggested as he pulled his back pack off of his back and pulled out a bottle of watermelon Smirnoff. "But I got you this."

Mama's eyes widened as she grabbed the bottle. "And how'd you get a hold of this?"

Aubrey smiled. "I kinda know the people who work at the liquor store near my house."

Mama sighed. "Whatever you say but don't bring me anything like this anymore. I don't need this as it is but I'm gonna drink it," she said as she walked to the back with the bottle in her hands.

"Gooooot damn!" Aubrey exclaimed. "Yo Mama could get the business, I swear."

I shook my head and walked into the living room. He sat his stuff down by the couch and plopped down next to me. "Nigga, why you always looking at my Mama, Grandma and my sister? I thought you and Jaz were still together. I know she said next time she hears about you looking or even talking about my family, she was gon' beat on your ass. Why you always staring at my family and shit?"

He scrunched up his face. "First of all my nigga, there's nothing wrong with looking. I'm not hurting nobody by just casually looking at them and gawking over them. Secondly, me and Jaz been broke up. We been broke up for like three months now so she has no control over me what so ever. Me and Jaz are just occasionally sleeping together since she's always running back to me but there's noting going on between us besides some occasional head. And Jaz likes to talk a big game about beating me but she's never put her hands on me. Shit. I wish she would put her hands on me. I'll be the last guy she puts her hands on."

I couldn't help but laugh and shake my head at him. I don't know why he was trying to put on this front like Jaz isn't always pushing him around. I've seen her smack him before and check him. He's just boosting trying to act like he can control Jaz when he knows full well she's controlling him and their relationship. "Yeah, whatever you say but everybody knows you're scared of her."

He frowned. "A'ight. So what if I'm scared of my girlfriend? You ain't scared of Tee Tee?"

I shook my head. "Nah. Tee Tee's never mean to me. She's always sweet."

He scoffed. "Right 'cause y'all not even in a real relationship. Y'all two ain't never been in a fight before and she always waits on you hand and foot like you a king or some shit when she knows that's a got damn lie. I know you messing around with Nicole and that's why you're so nice to her but why's she so nice to you? I know you ain't the easiest to get along with and me and you have had our fair share of arguments before but y'all been together for almost a year and haven't had not one. Something's sketchy if you ask me."

I scrunched up my face. "What'chu tryna say? Just because me and Tee Tee don't constantly go at it like you and Jaz don't mean anything is wrong with our relationship. Before I even started messing around with Nicole," I whispered, "I was always good to her and we never got into it. Tee Tee ain't doing nothing wrong but being a good girlfriend to me. You and Jaz could learn from our relationship, especially Jaz. Maybe if she treated you the way Tee Tee treats me then maybe y'all wouldn't be constantly breaking up and getting back together."

He shrugged his shoulders. "You know, for somebody who doesn't know where his girlfriend is right now, you're talking a whole bunch of shit. Me and Jaz always fighting 'cause we keep it real with each other. It's not normal for people not to fight. Shit. I could be wrong about Tee Tee but you can't ever say I didn't warn you about her. For all you know, she could have like two or three other niggas fucking her while you sitting up here arguing with me. One of 'em could even be in your family but you don't wanna listen to me and investigate."

"See, that's why Jaz is always on you about something! You're always trying to stalk her and follow behind her because you aren't secure with y'all's relationship. Y'all ain't got no trust in y'all's relationship. Me and Tee Tee do, that's why I don't need to know where she's at 24/7. I trust her to do the right thing. I'm not gonna act like a bitch and investigate my girlfriend like you do with Jaz. Nigga, you acting insecure like you the bitch in y'all's relationship or something."

"If y'all really had all this 'trust' in y'all's relationship then why would you be cheating on her with Fat Albert. Nicole's fat ass looks like Ursula from The Little Mermaid. You always got something to say about Jaz but at least she's not standing down on the corner of 5th and Martin Luther King entertaining her customers. But you better watch who you calling a bitch, my nigga. And you better be glad I hear your Mom's coming or else I would've went ham on your stupid, clueless ass," he whispered just as Mama walked into the living room with two cans of Coke in her hands.

"You guys are so quiet," Mama smiled as she handed each of us a can. She turned around and grabbed the remote off of the coffee table before turning on the TV to a a rerun of Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta where these two girls were fighting in this restaurant. One of the girls had pink hair and a large, nasty looking ass. "Ow! I hope Tiffany whoop Dime Penny's ass," Mama and Aubrey both laughed.

"I didn't know you watched this Mama," Aubrey replied, causing Mama to turn around.

"Of course I do. I gotta get my dose of ratchet TV every week. You watch this?"

Aubrey nodded his head. "Faithfully. Who's your favorite?"

"The Puerto Rican Princess," Mama smiled but that only made Aubrey laugh.

"Mine too and Karlie Redd. Karlie's messiness just makes the show 10 times better."

Mama laughed. "Yeah, you're right about that baby," Mama said as she turned to me. "You all right Theodore? How come you're barely saying anything?"

I shook my head and was about to speak when Aubrey cut me off.

"He just wants attention Mama. That's all."

"No I don't," I shook my head. "I just need you to stop getting so close to my Mama all the time. You're such a perv."

Mama frowned. "Theodore! Aubrey is your friend. What happened with you two? Just a few minutes ago you guys were fine? What happened?"

"Nothing," I mumbled, folding my arms.

"Aw, he's just mad 'cause I called him out about something. That's all."

I smacked my lips as I turned to him. "Man, will you just shut up sometimes? Yeah, I'm mad you said something to me. I'm mad you always up in my business and always in my ear about some gossip that's probably not even true. I don't wanna hear about stuff you claim you see all the time. You're a liar."

"And you're clueless," Aubrey smirked.

"Get up Theodore and come with me."

Before I could even stand up, Mama grabbed a hold of the collar of my shirt and drug me out of the living room and away from Aubrey so he wouldn't be able to hear our conversation. I know, all she's gonna tell me is that I need to be more respectful to my friends before I wind up not having any. She pushed me into the kitchen, where I could see she was putting the raw hamburger meat into patties for the hamburgers. She pushed me into the counter and stood in front of me.

"What the hell is wrong with you? Aubrey's been your friend for years. Why are you treating him like that?"

I kissed my head as I leaned my head to the side. I was over this conversation before it even got started. Once she put her hands on me and drug me into the kitchen like I was some little kid, I was done with her and this conversation. She doesn't have to embarrass me in front of my friend and treat me like a baby.

Mama grabbed a hold of my face and turned it towards her. "I've told you before to stop treating Aubrey like shit all the time. You know he's having a hard time since his parents divorced. I talked to his Mom the other day and she told me that he barely comes home at nights anymore and when he does come home, he doesn't speak to her or his sister. He just locks himself in his bedroom. He doesn't shower or eat at home anymore. His Mom is worried about him and what he's been doing and where he's been going every night. You don't need to be so mean to him all the time. Instead, you should be asking if he's okay."

I sighed. "I didn't know all of that was going on. He just told me his Mama wasn't talking to him because he got suspended from school again. I didn't know he wasn't coming home. He's been acting normal Mama."

"Alright, well since you didn't know then I'll give you a pass this one time. But in the future, please be more respectful to him. He's going through a lot right now. And I promised his Mom I'd have you talk to him about what he's been up to at night. Don't tell him I told you I talked to his Mom, but just slide it into the conversation and make it really low key."

I nodded my head. "Okay, I will. Is that why you came over here tonight so you could see if he actually came over here?"

She shrugged her shoulders. "Sort of. His Mom told me he said he was gonna stay the night with you tonight but she didn't know if he was telling the truth. I just came over here to see if it was the truth and to stop you two from getting into anymore trouble. Now, I want you to go back out there and be nice to your friend before you lose all of your friendships and end up being lonely for the rest of your life. You're acting just like Baby right now. He acted like this during high school and look where he's at right now. He doesn't have any friends, his wife cheated on him with his nephew and his family doesn't talk to him anymore. I don't want you to turn out like him, so stop acting like this T3. Okay?"

I sighed and just nodded my head since I knew it would make hr happy. "Alright. I'll be nice to him Mama but you need to realize I'm tir--"

"What do I need to realize Theodore?" she raised her voice but I just sighed.

"Nothing Mama."

"Right. Get out of here."

I shook my head and stormed out of the kitchen. She never lets me talk and tell her what's really going on. Maybe if she started listening to me, she wouldn't constantly have to check me all the time. She always has to dominate the conversation like what I have to say isn't important. I walked back into the living room to Aubrey who was still sitting on the couch watching TV.

"Your Mom's check you?" he smiled.

I plopped down on the couch next to him. "Yeah, you already know she did. My bad. I didn't mean to lose it like that."

He shrugged his shoulders. "You good. I knew you didn't mean nothing by it but that was the shit I was tryna tell you about. Even me and you get into it sometimes, actually like most of the time. There's no relationship that's perfect, man."

"I know but Tee Tee wouldn't do anything like that o me."

"And I'm sure she thinks the same thing about you T. Tee Tee's been kickin' it with us for awhile now and she's like a sister to me so I wouldn't be saying this just to say it."

"You like her or something?" I asked.

"Nah. I'm just saying to watch out for her."

I sighed. "What's going on that you not telling me?"

"Well you told me not to spread anymore of the gossip I over hear since you said it's not true, so I'm just gonna zip my lips and not say anything," he said, pretending to zip up his lips.

I shook my head. "Can you just stop being so extra and tell me what's going on."

He smiled. "Alright, since you wanna know so badly, I'll tell you. I'm not really sure what's going on but this is coming straight from the original source."

"Who's the original source?"

"My eyes. I saw this with my own eyes when I was on my way over here. She was up on 5th and Martin Luther King in front of the liquor store I went into. I don't know what she was doing but she had on this tan trench coat and she was wearing this big hat. It looked like she was trying to disguise herself but I recognized the necklace she was wearing. I've never seen her wear it before but I saw you wearing it a few months ago. It was exactly like the one your Grandparents gave you with the big cross on it."

I scrunched up my face. "Somebody stole that necklace a couple of months ago out of my gym locker. My Mama kicked my ass when I told her somebody stole that necklace."

"What was so important about that necklace?"

"It was my great-grandfather's gold chain with the cross on it. It was my Grandpa's Dad's necklace that he was gonna give to my Grandpa when he turned 18 but his Dad died way before that. The necklace meant a lot to him and my Grandparents gave it to me to pass down when I get older."

He sighed. "Damn. But I doubt if Tee Tee had something to do with is disappearing. I mean, why would she steal it and then wear it especially if it belongs to you? I don't think she's stupid enough to do that."

"I'm gonna be pissed off if I ever found out who stole it. And Tee Tee wouldn't be stupid enough to steal it from me. I mean, she helped me look for it after it went missing. But if I find out Tee Tee had something to do with it disappearing, I'm done with her ass. She knows how important that necklace is to my family and for her to break into my locker and steal from me is bullshit." I took a deep breath. "She wouldn't do nothing like that to me. She's too loyal."

"Right. It was probably just one of them messy hoes at school but I still don't know what she was doing standing outside of that liquor store. I know you aid I act like a bitch when I investigate Jaz but these girls ain't loyal man. Trust me, I've been through enough shit with Jaz to know that these girls are always up to no good. They like to say niggas cheat but girls do a bunch of little shit that's basically cheating. I can't tell you the number of times I caught Jaz leaving little heart eyes emoji's on niggas pictures, flirting with other niggas, feeling all up on them, watching them and just acting thirsty as hell."

I sighed. I don't want to believe Tee Tee is doing anything suspicious but why would she been standing around a dirty liquor store at ten at night with a trench coat on? It just sounds like she's up to no good and I'm gonna stop her before she digs herself into a hole she won't be able to get out of. "Alright, you're not a bitch for investigating. You're just concerned and curious."

He smirked. "Exactly."

"So, how do you investigate exactly?"

"Well, I know some guys that work for my boss who are into private investigating. They give me a discount since I work for Marcus and MJ but it's still a little expensive, depending on the type of work you want them to do. I have the number in my phone if you're trying to call and want them to do some investigating tonight on Tee Tee."

I sighed. I don't feel good about having Tee Tee watched but I needed to know what she was up to. Between Aubrey telling me he caught her standing outside of a liquor store late at night and the rumor about a month ago about her messing around with Willie and Devon, I don't know what to believe anymore. Maybe Aubrey did have a point about Tee Tee and I never getting into arguments. I try not to argue with her because I feel guilty about cheating on her with Nicole but maybe she's doing the same thing with Willie and Devon. And why would Aubrey lie to me about something he saw? Me and Aubrey been cool longer than I'v e known Tee Tee, so I know he wouldn't lie to me about anything.

"Yeah, let's go upstairs and call them. Ion want my Mama hearing us." He nodded his head bore the both of us quietly climbed off of the couch and walked up the steps. He walked into my bedroom before I did and I closed the door behind myself. I wiped my sweaty hands down my pants, already getting a bad feeling about doing his behind Tee Tee's back. "C'mon man," I said as I watched him slowly scroll through his list of contacts. "Ion like doing this."

He waved me off. "Stop acting like a bitch and talk to them."

I snatched his phone out of his hand and put it up to my ear while it rang. Within seconds, somebody answered, making me even more nervous.

"Hello, this is Striker and Brothers investigating services. How may I help you?"

"U-Um I need your investigating services."

"Stop bitching out," Aubrey whispered, "and put it on speaker."

I nodded my head and did as he said so he could hear the conversation and help me out.

"Okay, and what is your name sir?"

"Make something up," Aubrey mouthed.

"Big T," I replied.

"Alright, Big T, who are we supposed to investigate?"

"Teandra Redford."

"And who is she in relation to you and why are you trying to investigate her?"

"Is that supposed to matter?" I asked.

"Kind of," The woman replied.

"Well, she's my girlfriend and I have my reasons for calling y'all. So, can you do it?"

"Yes we can do it. I just need some more information on your girlfriend."

I took a deep breath and gave them all the information I could think of about Tee Tee. Starting with how everybody calls her Tee Tee and down to where she lives so they could find out who she is and follow her around. "How much is this gonna cost?"

"Well, that depends on what you want to be done. Do you want us to wire into her private phone conversations and record her conversations without her knowing?"

I sighed. "Yeah."

"Well, I'm sure she doesn't know you plan on doing this and without her consent, it's illegal and we could go to jail so that boosted the price of our services up Big T. And do you want one of our employees to go into her home, read her email, mail and other personal items?"

"Yes," I replied, feeling shitty about all of this.

"Well, since that's a federal offense and since we could go to jail for trespassing, then I'm gonna have to add more charges to your bill. Do you want me to add this additional fee to your bill?"

"Yes, do whatever you need to do. I just need as much information as I can get on her."

"Alright, we'll do the best we can do."

"And what will the final price be?"

"Well, our cheapest package is $50 dollars an hour but since you're going wit our largest package then your bill will be $100 per hour and you'll be billed once we get some more information on you. Should we contact you with this number? And we need an email address so we can send you more information."

I gave them my cell phone number and email address before ending the call. I feel like shit for going back and having Tee Tee followed but I need some answers. I'm tired of walking around clueless while everybody knows every single thing hat my girlfriend is up to. I just need to know what's going on instead of being in the dark on everything.

I sighed as I plopped down on my bed next to Aubrey. "Damn, well thanks for that information on Tee Tee. Is that what you said you had to tell me when I talked to you earlier?"

He shook his head. "Nah. That Tee Tee stuff happened after I got off he phone with you."

"Damn. What's going on now?"

"Well, I was out selling for MJ this morning when I saw Mr. Curry pull up in this bomb ass Escalade."

I scrunched up my face. "Escalade? I didn't know teachers made that much money."

"Neither did I but this niggas had 24's on this Escalade. Them boys was clean as hell!"

I chuckled. "Maybe he got some money we didn't know about."

"I know where he's getting it from."

"Where?"

"Well, you know my nosy ass went and hid so he wouldn't be able to see me but like four or five prostitutes climbed out of his truck."

I frowned. "That niggas sleeping with all them prostitutes and sleeping with my sister too?"

He shrugged his shoulders. "Ion know if he's sleeping with them but he was directing them. He was telling them when they would start their shifts and which corner's they'd work on. One of them started working my area as soon as I was finished, so I went and asked MJ if they started hiring prostitutes. He said they made a deal with this old lady who took over her deceased husband's business. As soon as one of us gets done selling, in between shifts, one of the girls will come out or the dope boys and the girls will work the corners together to make money."

I scrunched up my face. "Did you ask him about Stephen?"

"Yeah but all he did was laugh and walk away from me."

"What the fuck does that man?"

He shrugged his shoulders. "Hell if I know but we been saying he wasn't legit. The lady who's running that little prostitution ring is probably fucking with Stephen on the low. You know pimps make a lot of money so she's probably like his sugar mama or something. That's probably how he had that sweet ass Escalade and those expensive ass boat shoes he was tryna call me out on during the camping trip."

I sighed. "Well we can't jump to conclusions too soon. We need to do some investigating. Should we call the PI on him too?"

Aubrey shook his head. "Hell no. If he's working with MJ like we think he is, they'll track down our numbers and get with us for meddling with their business dealings. I'm not even supposed to be telling you any of this right now but we're gonna have to do some investigating on our own since the PI works with MJ."

"Alright, well we're gonna have to start working on this soon 'cause I heard him and Lindsey supposed to be going out tonight."

Aubrey frowned. "Yeah, I know that shit. You know I be stalking Lindsey's Instagram and she took a picture of her and Stephen at this bar and grill downtown. I sent one of my boys down there to watch her. You already know I'm not gonna let that fraud do anything to my baby mama. Who's gonna have my babies if something happens to her?"

"Anyways," I sighed. "Have you heard from this friend of yours?"

I watched as he looked down at his phone and scrolled through his messages. "Yeah. The last thing he sent was like a half an hour ago. He just said they were eating buffalo wings, fries and taking shots of Hennessy. My friend said they're sitting on one of the couches and he's all up on her, you know, feeling up on her, he's got his arm around her and he's whispering stuff in her ears but she's not doing any of that stuff back to him. He's just acting thirsty but they are sharing the wings. My friend said nothing is going on with them that looks suspicious."

I took a deep breath. At least Aubrey's in-love-ass was one step ahead of me about Lindsey. I guess it's a good thing he's all into Lindsey or else I wouldn't have found out about Stephen being connected to some prostitute ring. My only problem is him messing around with Lindsey. I don't want him getting any ideas about my sister.

Just as he was about to put his phone down, he got another message from his friend that was watching Lindsey and Stephen. The text was in all caps but then other messages started coming in:

THEY'RE MAKING OUT.

THEY'RE STANDING UP AND IT LOOKS LIKE THEY'RE GOING TO THE BATHROOM.

THEY'RE GOING INTO THE WOMAN'S BATHROOM!!!

HE JUST SMACKED HER ON THE ASS!!

YOU NEED TO GET DOWN HERE!

"Hell no," Aubrey quickly stood up. "I'm heading down there. You coming with me?"

I shook my head. "I can't. My Mama will get suspicious but go down there and I'll cover for you but don't be gone long."

"Ion know how long it's gonna take to catch a bus. Y'all live in the middle of nowhere and the nearest bus stop is like two miles away."

"Take my car but be careful."

He smirked. "I got you."

"You got your license?"

He nodded his head. "Mhmm."

"The registration is in the glove compartment. Don't be doing nothing stupid with my car and take that weed you left in it out of the glove compartment before you get stopped by the police and get arrested."

"I will. I'll be back in 45 minutes, I swear."

"Yeah, you better be."

He grabbed my keys off of my dresser before the two of us walked down the steps and took the back way to get to the backyard. He couldn't go out the front or Mama would hear him, so he walked out through the back door and had to walk around through the backyard and around the house to get to the front, where my car was parked. I knew he wouldn't have any difficulty getting to Lindsey, so I decided to go into the kitchen to stall Mama.

She turned around and smiled when she saw me. "Hey baby. You and Aubrey doing better?"

I nodded my head as I took a seat at the island. "Yeah, we cool."

"Good. Did you talk to him about what I asked you to?"

No. "Yeah," I lied. "He's fine. He's just been with Jaz."

"Alright, well where's he at now?"

"Oh, he's in the bathroom. He said he had Mexican food for dinner last night and his stomach's tore up. By the way he was farting, I'm not sure how long he's gonna be in the bathroom," I lied.

Mama scrunched up her face. "Ugh. I don't wanna hear anymore. Just give him his privacy and some time to himself," she replied.

I nodded my head. "Alright, I will. So, how's work going?" I asked, just trying to make conversation so she wouldn't get too nosy about what Aubrey and I are doing.

She smiled as she leaned against the island in front of me. "Why? You never care about what I'm doing at work."

I smiled. "I know but I'm gonna start caring now. You always care about what I'm doing so it's wrong of me not to see how your job's going."

She smiled even harder. "Well, since you want to know, I'm supposed to be getting a raise," she began.

I took a deep breath, knowing this would be a long story. I know Mama likes to talk about herself a lot, so it's no telling how long she'll sit up here and talk about her job and what's going on in her life. I just hope Aubrey gets back before she talks me to death and before she starts getting suspicious about where he's at.
