[Tony and Steve have entered the chat]
Tony: you know, I think it's about time we have another Nerf war around here
Steve: Tony, we just had one at the wedding earlier this month
Tony: yea, that's my point. It's been almost a month and we have hardly gotten together since the wedding
Steve: you've finally run out of science projects, haven't you?
Tony: yep, and now I am bored. All I have been doing lately is playing Halo, Dota, and a few other games
Steve: (sighs) alright, I guess we can work out another Nerf war or Ultimate Frisbee event soon
[Jayla has entered the chat]
Tony: what do you want?
Jayla: geez, I just came on to talk and it's like I walk into court or something
Steve: calm down, Jayla. I'm sure he didn't mean it like that
Tony: actually, I kind of did. Do you know what she did to me the last time she asked me to do something for her?
Jayla: (astonished) are you seriously still mad at me for that?! I was just fooling around!! It's not a big deal
Steve: (accusingly) what did you do to him, Jayla?
Jayla: (mutters) all I did was use my frost on Tony
Tony: yea, your 80-degrees-below-zero frost!!! I had to sit in my hot tub for an hour and a half before I could get warm again
Jayla: did I really make it that cold? I thought I had just done a light coating. I only use the coldest of my frost when I am in danger.I must have done it on accident. I'm so sorry, Tony
Tony: well, the intention sure wasn't on accident
Jayla: yea, I know. I don't even know why I wanted to frost you anyway
Steve: (confused) so, hold on a second, when did this whole incident happen?
Jayla: last week on our date night. I'd asked Tony if he had the snacks we wanted, and I ended up frosting him when I went to get the food
Steve: so that's why you came back with a weird smile on your face
Jayla: (narrows eyebrows) what do you mean by "weird smile"?
Steve: you know, like you had just pulled a prank and were thinking about how funny it was
Jayla: man, I am really starting to think I have gone crazy
[Emily, Haeleigh, and Micaela have entered the chat]
Haeleigh: you know, that was more fun than I thought it would be
Micaela: I told you singing along is always better than just hearing their music
Steve: what are you talking about?
Emily: oh, we just finished watching one of the One Direction concert DVDs
Tony: (facepalms) when are we going to stop bringing them up at the most random times?
Emily: hey, my husband is one of them. I have every right to talk about him whenever I want
Tony: fair enough
[Skye has entered the chat]
Jayla: (snaps at Skye) I told you, Skye. I already did the security check
Skye: first of all, I know you did the security check. You told me like five minutes ago. Second, I was just going to ask you if you wanted to watch The Giver
Jayla: omigosh, I'm so sorry. I don't know what I was thinking. But yea, sure I'll watch it with you. Just give me a minute to get a snack (heads to the kitchen)
Steve: (grabs her arm) Jayla, it's almost 10:30. I don't think you need a snack right now
Jayla: 10:30? (grips the kitchen counter) Wait a minute.... Guys, I just realized why I have been getting these weird food cravings...and why I have been a little crazy
Haeleigh: because you're always hungry and crazy?
Jayla: ha ha. No..., I'm pregnant
Haeleigh: no way. I don't believe it
Skye: you're kidding, Jayla
Tony: Skye's right. This is just a phase you're going through
Jayla: no, I'm not kidding and this is not a phase. I seriously believe I am pregnant. I mean, it makes sense why my mood swings have been worse than usual, and I've never gotten weird food cravings before now
Steve: (eyes widen) but how-- what-- why--? I-I can't think straight
Jayla: gosh, does anyone believe me?
Emily: I do. I had similar signs before I found out I was pregnant with Mica
Micaela: what's that supposed to mean?
Emily: it means what Jayla is going through is normal behavior for pregnant women
Jayla: you know, after years of people telling me how different I am, it's nice to hear that I am normal about something for once
Tony: hey Steve, does this mean I can be the baby's uncle?
Steve: no, it does not
Tony: if you don't let me be the uncle, I'll make you name him after me
Steve: (annoyed) alright, fine, but this means you can't call me any of the nicknames you use for me
Tony: on second thought..., it's too early to even think about this, so let's just forget about it
Haeleigh: Tony's right. Let's just be happy for Jayla right now
Steve: I don't even know what to say about this. I'm speechless
Jayla: I could tell by the look on your face when I told you
Micaela: so, will the baby have any relatives?
Haeleigh: no, not biologically at least
Skye: actually, yes. Jay and I have been doing family research all summer, and our results show we are actually cousins
Emily: what?! How?
Jayla: our moms were sisters. That's where we both got our Inhuman abilities. And it explains why were so close
Tony: well, for cousins you sure don't look much alike at all
Steve: you may not see it, but I do
Skye: lemme guess, it's our sense of humor, right?
Steve: more than just that, but yes, your sense of humor is the same
Tony: well, I don't know about you guys, but I am getting tired
Steve: not so fast, Tony. Do you promise to not tell anyone about this yet?
Tony: yes, I swear on my Xbox I will tell no one. This conversation never happened
[Tony has left the chat]
Jayla: that was surprisingly serious for Tony
Steve: yea, almost a little too serious
Emily: I know what you're thinking; you're worried the wrong people will find out about this and something bad will happen. I know how you feel. In my original story, I hid for eighteen years on Tatooine, and trust me, I was afraid everyday someone would find my kids
Micaela: I thought it was nineteen years
Emily: (shakes head) eighteen, nineteen, whatever. No one really knows how long it was specifically
Haeleigh: we should probably get to bed, Micaela
Micaela: are you still going to take me shopping tomorrow, Mom?
Emily: only if you get to bed within fifteen minutes
[Haeleigh and Micaela have left the chat]
Skye: (awkwardly) so, are we going to watch our movie or what, Jayla?
Jayla: how about we watch it tomorrow when I'll actually be awake
Skye: okay, fine with me
[Skye has left the chat]
Emily: I better go make sure Micaela is getting to bed. She can be slow sometimes
[Emily has left the chat]
Jayla: (rubs hand over flat stomach) it feels weird to know I am going to be a mother
Steve: (hugs Jayla) trust me, I'm still trying to process all of this too
[Jayla and Steve have left the chat]

I would have had another update before this one, but I started school on Tuesday so I've been busy getting adjusted and everything. Hopefully, I'll be able to update once a week minimum, whether it's this book or one of my others.
