3. Things Get Worse

[Steve and Emily have entered the chat]

[Steve has invited Tony, Pepper, and Skye to the chat]

Tony: what's up?

Steve: something's wrong with Jayla

Skye: (worried) what do you mean something is wrong with her?

Emily: Jayla hasn't spoken a word since we found her yesterday, and she hasn't been her normal, happy self

Skye: Tony, I need a ride

Tony: umm, where to?

Skye: (gives him a look) where do you think?! I'm going to Tahiti to find out what is wrong with Jayla

Tony: well, before I can fly you there, you will need to pay me a certain fee--

Pepper: (glares at Tony) how many times have I told you to not put fees on our flight services?

Tony: I don't know, but since when has it been "our" flight services?

Pepper: (still glaring) since you made me the CEO of Stark Industries

Skye: (awkwardly) I'm just going to leave now. I think I'll ask Clint to fly me there

[Skye has left the chat]

Tony: so, did you need me, Steve?

Steve: yea, you're taking care of Kit Kat, right?

Tony: I'm not, but I know Emily's kids are

Pepper: they've taken a likening to the cat

Emily: (sighs) great, now they're probably gonna ask me if they can get their own

Steve: (puzzled) you make it sound like it's a bad thing

Emily: (shakes head) it's not, but we probably wouldn't be around enough to take care of it

Tony: I know this is going to sound like a weird question, but do cats even exist in your universe?

Emily: no, not house cats at least. The only cat-like creature I can think of is the nexu, and those things scare the crap outta me. Trust me when I say to never even get near a hungry one, especially in an execution arena

Tony: you're referencing Attack of the Clones, right?

Emily: duh, what else would I be referencing?

Pepper: well, I gotta go finish my work

[Pepper has left the chat]

Steve: it's getting late, Em. We should get to bed

Emily: alright, goodnight

[Steve has left the chat]

Tony: (disappointed) awww, I was hoping he'd stay on a little longer

Emily: well, remember we aren't in the same time zone as you, so it's later here than it is in New York

Tony: yea, guess I'll talk to you tomorrow then

[Emily an Tony have left the chat]

Sorry about the slow updates. I have summer homework for school, which starts for me in a few weeks *insert unenthusiastic "yay" here*.
