I want to move ahead,
One step at a time.
But fear pulls me back,
And I end up wasting my time.
Realization hits me hard,
I've been a coward all my life.
I want to break free,
So I take one step at a time.
Fear tries to break me down,
Others dismiss it as laziness
And it makes me doubt.
Maybe they are right.
Maybe the future isn't bright.
Maybe I'm just wasting my time.
Maybe I'll never fly,
But I should at least give it a try.
