We ended up pulling in at an In N Out located in Los Angeles which is only a forty-eight minute drive from Long Beach (thirty minutes with Reece's speeding). Reece swears he's a speed racer. He drives so reckless, it looks like me when I try to play Grand Theft Auto on my brothers Xbox. Lets just say, it's a miracle I'm still alive.
Reece pulled into an empty parking spot almost knocking into a car. He turned the car off which I wasn't very fond of. I was really enjoying the Nick Jonas song playing throughout the whole car. A much better pick than Taylor Swift. I've listened to Bad Blood so many times that I could probably sing it backwards with no problem.
"Didn't think they were gonna keep up with me," Reece said when Logan pulled up in his matching Jeep right beside us blasting music through his speakers. He looked over at us bumping his head to the beat of the song, and smirked.
"Told you I could hang bro," He held his smirk as Cam peeped his head out the backseat window.
His mop of brown hair, and Ray Bans were the first thing I noticed. You can tell Cam's a douchebag just by the way he wears sunglasses when the sun is down, and the moon is out. He claims "The bright lights hurt his cornea" Which was complete bullshit. He has that whole tough guy act going on right now, and without the shades his 'ego' is thrown down the drain. He just wants to wear the glasses because they look cool.
"I'm kicking your ass for that Reecey boy" Cam threatened playfully.
"No way you're touching my million dollar-money making face," Reece smirked rubbing his face in a cocky way.
"Fuck you Mathewson," Cam laughed sticking his arm out to flip him off, but Logan was in the process of rolling the window back up, and smashed Cam's arm.
I chuckled when Cam starting slurring out cuss words. "Man, what the fuck was the for?" He spat.
"I don't know, you're just an idiot," He shrugged and turned the ignition off. Once he did, he hopped out, followed by my favorite 5'10 blonde barbie. She wore high waisted booty shorts, and a crop top revealing an excessive amount of her sun kissed skin.
I set her a whistle, and immediately her bright eyes popped up to look at me.
"You look hot Lil," I winked.
She did a few poses and smirked. "Don't gotta tell me twice," She said as that skimpy brunette slipped out from behind her sending a glare right towards me.
"Do you need help getting out?" Reece asked glancing at my boot tearing my attention to him.
I shook my head, and let out a light laugh. "Thanks, but I can walk fine with it,"
He nodded and smiled softly. "Just making sure." He said flinging his seatbelt off. "Lets eat!" He hollered jumping out of the jeep.
I mocked his actions, taking off my seatbelt and slowly making my way back onto ground level before trailing behind everyone into the building. Reece waited kindly for me holding the door open, a wide grin plastered across his face.
I looked up at him, and brightly smiled.
"For my lady" He winked.
I walked right in immediately being hit by the icy cold condition air. It felt a lot colder now that the sun was set and a little of wind was starting to blow dropping the temperature tremendously.
"Thank you Reece," I smiled as he flung his arm around my shoulders. The skin where his wrist rested against my collar bone tingled beneath his arm. The longer he kept his arm on me, the faster my heart beat.
"Anything for you,"
Reece has been so affectionate today, and I love every single moment of it.
We stood behind everyone else waiting in line to order. Lily turned around to us, and accidentally slapped Camden in the face with her long blonde hair in the process.
"Watch it Lil, before I rip your hair out" He threatens playfully looping his handing around a lock of her hair.
She slapped his hand away. "Why don't you stop worrying about me, and order your food," She said pointing to the lady behind the counter who was impatiently waiting for Cam to order.
He rolled his eyes, and ordered.
Once everyone else ordered and paid, it was finally Reece, and I's turn.
"Welcome to In N Out, can I take your order?" A middle aged woman asked.
She was a short yet stubby woman. Her poorly done roots, and wrinkled face made her appear a lot older than she probably was. She tapped her fingers impatiently waiting for a response from one of us.
Reece looked down at me. "Go ahead B"
I nodded, and smiled at the woman working. "Can I have a cheeseburger," The lady punched some stuff into the screen in front of her, and nodded. "What would you like on that cheeseburger?"
"Just lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, ketchup, and of course your special sauce," by the time I finished that, my mouth was basically watering at how good it sounded already. Their special sauce was the key to their holy tasting food. If I knew how to make it, i could die a very happy woman.
"Anything else for you ma'am?" She asked.
"Can I actually have a Chocolate shake and some fries?" I asked.
"Okay and for you Sir," She said darting her attention to Reece.
"Yeah uh, can I get a double cheeseburger everything on it, fries, and a vanilla shake," He ordered quickly in that deep voice every single guy makes when they order food.
"Okay your total is $10.80"
I slipped out a twenty from my wallet but Reece beat me to it, placing a twenty in the ladies hand.
I looked up at him in disbelief. "I could've paid for it,"
"As long as you're with me, you won't ever have to pay," He winked accepting his change back, and the receipt.
As sweet as that sounded, I didn't like that idea.
"That's not happening," I shook my head.
"Yeah..it is,"
"I don't want you waisting your money on me," I said pouting.
"Princess stop complaining. I'm gonna buy you things regardless of what you say," He smirked as another worker slid a tray down on the counter.
"Order number 251," He yelled in front of us slapping the ticket down on the counter.
Reece looked down at the receipt that was sitting between his fingers. "That's us," Reece said slightly raising his hand up to catch the guys attention.
"There ya go buddy," The guy said handing him the tray.
Reece, and I walked side by side as he carried the tray over to the table everyone was seated at. I glanced at them noticing there's only two empty chairs. One rested between Lily, and Logan opposed to the other one seated next to Mckenzie.
Without a doubt, I chose to sit beside Lily, and Logan. No way was I about to sit beside that evil bitch. But once she smirked when Reece sat beside her, I knew I picked the wrong chair.
All my thoughts washed away when Reece slid over my food. I was starving, and it looked so mouth watering. I didn't hesitate to shove my burger into my mouth holding back a moan. It tasted so good, I never wanted to stop eating it.
"So what's the plans for tonight?" Lily asked with a mouthful of french fries.
Everyone looked up from their food with their mouths full including me. I couldn't help but giggle at everyone after I swallowed everything down. If I didn't swallow, clumps of my cheeseburger would've been sprawled across Camden. I could already hear him screaming bloody murder because I messed up his precious hair.
"I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting laid," Cam smirked.
"And how do you plan on doing that?" Logan asked amused.
"I don't know, I haven't gotten that far,"
"Ooooh, lets go to city walk.. I heard its karaoke night," Mckenzie suggested.
I would've dismissed her suggestion, if it didn't sound like a good idea. I love going to City Walk, so I'm honestly all up for her plan.
"I second that," I agreed as she looked at me confused for a split second.
"Oh, I'm so good at karaoke so I'm down for it," Lily smirked.
Reece laughed. "Shut the fuck up Lily, you can't sing for shit,"
She flung a fry at his face hitting him perfectly on his button nose. "You're just jealous because you don't have the voice of an angel like me,"
He picked up the fry and shoved it into his mouth. "That's why last spring break in Cancun, you got kicked out of the resort for your horrible vocals," He said making everyone laugh.
"That was one time, plus the manager hated me that whole week so it wasn't a shocker that he wanted me out of there," Lily explained.
"Wait, you guys all went to Cancun for spring break?" I asked pretty shocked. I've always wanted to go to Cancun.
Logan nodded. "Yeah for spring break we all go somewhere together. This year we're stuck between Barbados, and Italy,"
Rich kid problems. I wish I could
join them on whatever destination they end up going to for their trip, but unfortunately I won't be here at CSU anymore. My time is actually winding down to less than a week. I'm not ready for that departure away from these guys, especially Reece.
"I wanna go to Italy, because we already went to a beach resort last year," Lily said.
"But it's better to lay by the beach than walk around a town all day," Mckeznie spoke.
"We live on a beach, you can lay on it whenever you want," Lily argued.
Mckeznie groaned. "It's not the same thing,"
Lily rolled her eyes before we all finished our food. "Okay so City Walk it is?" Logan asked standing up from his chair.
Mckeznie nodded. "Duh, where else,"
"Your place," Cam winked making her giggle.
I watched as Logan rolled his eyes, and threw his trash away. We all mocked his actions rolling our eyes, and throwing our own trash away.
"Who's riding with me?" Reece asked taking his keys out of his pocket and looping the lanyard around his head.
Without any hesitation Mckeznie squealed. "Oooh, I am!" She smiled, and ran up to stand beside him.
What a bitch.
"On that note I'll ride with Logan," I groaned following the others to his Jeep after receiving a soft smile from Reece.
I rolled my eyes at him, and took the back seat with Lily. Camden wasn't letting anyone take shotgun whether it meant brawling with Lily, and messing up his pretty face. Which was a shocker to me considering looks was on the top of his priorities. But he said he only wanted shot gun because "Lilys playlist sucks and she doesn't deserve the aux cord"
Unlike Reece, Logan's doors were still screwed into his Jeep, much to my satisfaction. My hair got really tangled from the wind in Reece's car.
I hope Kenzie enjoys.
Logan turned on the ignition, and immediately the air blasted through the vents cooling us off right away.
"Hand me the aux cord bro," Cam said sticking his hand out.
Logan eyed him obviously debating on whether or not he wanted the aux cord in his possession. "Being the person in the passenger seat, it is your duty to respect and follow the Ten Commandments of The Aux Cord," He said waving the cord in the air.
Cam looked at him like he was going crazy. "You're fucking kidding me right now,"
"Does it look like I'm kidding," Logan said with a straight face.
"That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard,"
"Alright no aux cord for you," Logan said putting the cord back down and pulling out of the parking lot with Reece on his tail.
Justin Bieber music started playing through the speakers, and Cam had a complete melt down.
"Alright, fine. I'll obey that crap just give me the aux man, my ears can't handle this shit anymore," He groaned covering his ears which was good because if he heard me laughing, he'd kill me.
We all started silently laughing before Logan tossed the cord over to Cam who looked more than grateful to receive it. He plugged it into his iPhone, and White Iverson blasted through the car.
You know how many times I've heard this song in the past twenty-four hours?
Too many for my liking.
I could tell Lily was having a horrible time. Her legs were too long, and she was cramped sitting behind Cam who needed just as much leg room as she did. I couldn't help but laugh at how funny she looked all crouched down. I wasn't sure if she heard me over the loud music along with Logan, and Cams singing but I knew she did when she sent me glare.
"Not funny," I barely heard come out of her mouth. Cam was singing way too loud, I couldn't even hear myself think.
"SAUCIN' IM SAUCIN IM SAUCIN ON YOU" he sang bumping his head to the beat.
After being stuck in traffic for a good twenty minutes, we finally pulled into the parking deck going all the way to the top due to no open parking spaces.
Logan parked his jeep along the wall that overlooked the whole city. I instantly flung my seatbelt off and jumped out of the car. The warm air hit my chilled skin with the light wind brushing against my cheeks. I walked over to the wall and looked beneath me at the bright and crazy lights.
I smiled to myself admiring the view. There's not one thing I'd change about time at this exact moment. I felt so free, and I loved it.
"Finally! I was starting to get a cramp in my right calf," Lily said stretching out her long legs.
Cam rolled his eyes, "Sounds like a personal problem,"
Lily flicked the back of his head. "Ow! Stop doing that!" He groaned rubbing his head.
She rolled her eyes. "Stop being annoying,"
"Can you two get along for just one night please?" Logan groaned as Reece finally pulled into the parking spot right beside us.
"She started it!" Cam whined pointing over to Lily who was flipping him off.
They got interrupted by Reece, and Mckenzie walking over to us, laughing at something that I bet wasn't even funny.
"Hahaha.. hey guys!" Reece greeted us in-between laughs.
Mckenzie looked over at me and smirked. I wish I could just slap that smirk right off her face.
"Uh, hey. What's funny?" Logan asked.
Reece chuckled. "Ah just an insider bro,"
Mckenzie nodded. "You had to be there," She fake laughed irking my nerves with that squeaky voice of hers.
"Maybe I didn't wanna be there," I mumbled but they all heard me anyways. Logan, Lily, and Cam snickered beside me and Reece, and his side chick both rolled their eyes.
"Damn!" Cam laughed.
Lily smacked the back of his head as hard as she could.
"Lily what the fuck!" He screamed grabbing his head rubbing it.
"Keep your big mouth shut dumbass,"
"You guys are annoying, I'm leaving," Logan sighed flinging his arm around my shoulders. "Lets go," He smiled down at me and started to walk with the others trailing behind us.
We reached the elevator to ride down to the bottom floor, and all hell broke loose.
"No," Mckenzie shrieked. "I'm not getting in that elevator,"
The doors opened and we all walked in.
"I hope you don't break your heels walking all the way down to the bottom," I smiled sarcastically.
She rolled her eyes.
"It's not like we're gonna get stuck," Cam shrugged.
"Fine, but I swear if we get stuck im killing every single one of you guys," Mckenzie threatened sliding in the elevator.
Lily let go of the buttons, and the elevator slammed shut. She pressed the G for ground level, and the elevator jerked but started moving slowly.
"What was that?"Mckenzie shrieked.
"The voices inside your head," I mumbled.
I would've laughed at her reaction if the elevator didn't jerk to a halt. I glanced up at the red number on the screen. The huge 5 flashed through my head leaving a tattoo on my brain.
"Why aren't we moving?" Mckenzie asked.
Everyone just stared at each other not saying a word.
"Hello?! Someone answer me!" Mckenzie shrieked.
Reece ran his large hand through his silky brown locks. "You're kidding me," He yelled slamming his hand down on random buttons trying to turn the elevator back on.
"There" Lily pointed to a red and white button. "Press that,"
Reece followed her orders and a voice came over the whole cramped box.
"Hello?" A elder gentleman's voice filled the elevator through the speakers.
"WE'RE STUCK IN THIS STUPID BOX AND IM HYPERVENTILATING. GET ME OUT OF THIS THING!!" Mckenzie screamed banging on the doors trying to rip it open.
"Uhh..i have some bad news," The voice responded.
My stomach sunk at his words. "What do you mean?" I asked.
"The roads are so busy, it's gonna take a few hours till emergency services can get you out of there," He informed us.
Everyone groaned. Reece laid his head down in his lap, while Logan rubbed his temples, Lily stared wide eyed at Cam who was running his hands through his hair. Not to forget about Mckeznie was now crying still trying her hardest to rip the doors open with her limp arms.
"Stay strong, we'll have you out of there soon." He said before the line cut off.
"Are you fucking serious right now?" Reece said slamming his fist into the wall.
"Ow what the fuck," He groaned afterwards.
"That wasn't a good idea," I whispered only receiving a glare from Reece in return.
I watched as Lily punched Cam on his arm pretty hard with those killer triceps. "Lily I swear if you touch me one more time I'm gonna fucking murder you," He threatened.
She rolled her eyes, "I don't care, that's what you get for jinxing us,"
"I didn't Jix shit,"
"Uh, yeah you and Kenz both did,"
Kenzie sunk down in the corner. "I can't believe I'm stuck in an elevator. A dirty parking garage elevator." She cried.
"Wanna hear a joke?" Logan asked everyone trying to kill the mood.
"Sure" I said as everyone else ignored him.
"So two guys walk in a bar..." He started, and I already knew this joke would be shit.
With the crazy heat, and no working air conditioning in this elevator, Camden and Lily arguing like animals, Mckenzie crying hysterically in the corner, Logan's lame jokes, and Reece's deathly glare I could tell I was gonna have an awesome night.
I wouldn't wanna be stuck in a elevator with anybody else.
