Violet groaned as they were learning about etiquette which she knows too much about as Cory spoke up "Semi-formal coming up. Young men and young women interacting. Mixing in a social situation. So, to avoid any casualties, I thought we could discuss etiquette. Can anyone here tell me what etiquette is?" he said and Maya raised her hand to answer and immediately he shut her down "No, you can't." Farkle saw it as his opportunity to answer "Etiquette is treating people politely and with respect. Maya and I will demonstrate in a short play we put on before every dance. It's called, "no."" he stated as him and Maya move to the front of the classroom and he turned towards her. "Miss Hart, would you do me the great honor of accompanying me to the semi-formal festivities?" Farkle asked her with a smile and Maya looked at him before answering "No." After their performance they turned to the class "Etiquette. Thank you" they said with a bow before Farkle announced "We'll see you at the holidays for "a Christmas no."
Violet laughed at their theatrics before she groaned again at Cory's words as he pulled out a film "Okay, so The school board sent me this film. It's called, "he asked me, he asked me, he really asked me."" he told them. She couldn't care less about the dance, she didn't plan on attending whatsoever as they were not her scene of choice. "This is supposed to teach us how to act at the dance?" Lucas asked their teacher who shrugged "They sent it. I'm showing it. You're animals." Hearing Lucas mention the dance made Riley turn her head towards him "Oh, there's a dance, and you're planning to attend this dance that you never mentioned in my general vicinity, that dance?" she said to him as he nodded and in the back of mind, he was thinking about how he was going to ask Violet to the dance. Cory broke up their conversation as he played the film and Violet tried her best to pay attention as the narrator of film began to speak "Well, if it isn't our old friend, Billy" and Billy on the screen waved as the narrator continued to speak, "Last time we saw you, Billy, you were teaching us that our bodies go through strange and horrifying changes." Billy made a grossed out face "Uck" he said as once again the narrator started to talk. "Butt today, we're here to talk about the biggest night in a young person's life. The semi-formal. Billy's been looking forward to it all year. Isn't that right, Billy?" he asked and Billy started to dance. The narrator stopped him instantly "Whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down, Billy. Because you know who hangs out at dances? Your old friends polio, typhoid, and the devil."
That was enough for Violet to zone out as she lost interest immediately and started doodling on paper to pass the time of the film. Every now and then she heard Riley talking about Billy and soon enough, she put two and two together, with her realized that Riley was talking about Lucas who didn't even notice. When the video ended, Cory spoke up "Yikes. Okay. So, can anyone here tell me if they possibly learned anything from that" and Riley turned towards Lucas "Yes. Time to make some choices, Billy. Simple enough for you, Billy" she snapped and Lucas only looked at her confused. With that the bell rung, Violet went to her locker to put her books away as thankfully she had no homework and even if she did, it was already done as she closed her locker, she jumped in fright as Lucas appeared out of nowhere. "Jesus Cowboy don't do that" she told him as she slapped his chest making him laugh and raised his hand in surrender "My apologies darling. I just had a question to ask you" he told her. Violet looked at him with suspicion as she didn't trust him, Lucas looked at her "I was wondering if you'd go to the Semi-Formal with me" he asked and she couldn't help but to stare at him "And why would I do that" she asked him.
"Because I'll go to Shawn" Lucas told her making her gasp before glaring "You wouldn't dare, he'd force me to go" she told him as she knew Shawn would love to see her in an actual dress. Hell, she knew he would want to take pictures and that made her sigh as she wanted to make him happy "Fine. I'll go to the dance with you, but I won't like it" she said making Lucas smile big. "You won't regret it. I promise" he told her and Violet nodded as her eyes came across Charlie Gardner asking Riley to the dance and she excitedly answered before she realized who actually asked her. Violet laughed "She thought it was you" she told him as they decided to watch the scene closer. "I can't believe you actually said yes. I waited because I was sure Lucas was going to ask you, but when he didn't I knew there had to be a problem. So I asked you because I think a girl like you deserves to swept off her feet" Charlie told Riley and Violet thought it was the sweetest thing she ever heard. Riley didn't seem pleased as she looked to Maya for assistance before she wrapped herself up in a web of lies of how she can't go to the dance.
"Oh Riley you can't go the dance?" Lucas asked as Riley raised her arms in disbelief "Unbelievable" she cried out as Charlie looked between the two "Well you two must have a lot to talk about. By the way I don't regret asking her. I did it because I know you're the type of person who would give up the dance to help your parents out" he said and Lucas looked at him "Ah so you're the one who set this up and asked Riley to the dance" he said to Charlie. "I did because you see, you didn't. And I'm sorry but do you need more than 10 months?" Charlie asked as Lucas smiled catching him off guard "No that's not it at all. I asked Violet to the dance" he explained causing Riley and Maya's head to snap Violet's way. "You asked her!?" Riley and Maya said in unison as Violet shrugged "It's not like I wanted to, but he threatened me with Shawn so I had to" she said nonchalantly. "Good, well I'll leave you to it" Charlie said as an applause came out as he picked up Yogi and walked away, Riley turned her attention to Lucas "So you're going with Violet" she asked him and hoped his answer would change. "Yes, I did. I knew if I didn't then she wouldn't go and I didn't want her to miss out on the dance" Lucas explained and Riley just looked at him as he grabbed an unsuspecting Violet's arm "I'm sorry you can't make it to the dance" he told her before tugging Violet to class.

Violet smiled as she had told Lucas to meet her at the dance as Shawn wanted to take way too many pictures of her, he practically cried tears of joy when she told him that she was going to the dance. "You look so beautiful Gem, you enjoy the dance okay? Also tell my brother I said hi, you'll know which one just by looks" Shawn told her as he had dropped her off and she nodded her head as she blew him a kiss. Violet gripped her dress as she lifted it slightly, she knew that she would regret not buying a short dress, but being that this was her first dance she wanted to go all out. She also bought the dress because it had pockets as she walked into the gymnasium and looked around and she was impressed by the decoration. Her eyes scanned the room once more and found Lucas easily as he seemed to be talking with Charlie and Riley as she carefully walked up to them "Hey guys" she greeted causing the group to look at her in shock.
They've seen her in feminine but somehow this time it was different, her appearance even made Charlie regret asking Riley as he practically gawked at her. Lucas smiled at her "There you are darling, I was wondering when you'd show up. You look amazing" he told her and she smiled at him as she did a slight curtsy "Thanks cowboy, you clean up nice as well" she complimented. She noticed Charlie mouth agape and walked over to him and closed his mouth "Honey that's how you get flies" she teased before looking at Lucas "I was given a quick task and I'll be all yours okay" she told him and he nodded as he watched her walk over to Cory, Eric and the other chaperone. Violet smiled at Cory when she made it to them "Cory and friends" she greeted and Cory looked at her appearance in shock "You look amazing Sky" he complimented before he turned to the two men next to him "This my brother, Eric Matthews and that's Shawn's brother, Jack Hunter. Guys this is Violet Summers" he introduced. Violet took both men in with her gaze making them jump slightly at the seriousness before she smiled brightly "Nice to meet you both. Oh so you're Jack. Shawn said hi" she told him. Jack nodded as he looked at Violet taking in her appearance as she was everything Shawn described beautiful, delicate looking and scary. "Ah so you're the one Shawn's looking to a-" Jack started to say before Cory cut him off quickly "Yep that's who Shawn's been looking after" he said causing Violet to tilt her head in confusion.
She turned her attention to Eric who seemed to be analyzing her and decided to walk up to him and soon enough, they were in a staring contest. Violet raised a brow at the action as she kept her eyes on the man in front of her as he started to make funny faces and noises to try and make her lose which wasn't happening. She decided to scare him as she sent him a harsh glare and it worked as he blinked "Oh darn it! You won Vivi" Eric said and that made her laugh as she took in the nickname, she enjoyed it. "Well gentleman this was fun, I got to get back to my date before he thinks I bailed" Violet said teasingly as she made her way to a patiently waiting Lucas who took her by the hand "Dance with me?" he asked and she agreed as the two danced away the night. Violet was having the time of her life, she was happy that she got out of her comfort zone "Thanks for asking me" she said to Lucas as she had her arms around his neck lazily as they rocked side to side to the music "Thanks for saying yes" Lucas told her as he looked at her, he felt like the luckiest guy in the world. Their moment was soon ruined as Violet's phone vibrated, she unhooked her arms to check her phone and saw that it was Luna "Hey Harley, I know you're at the dance for your school. You look amazing btw but we were wondering if you wanted to ditch and party with us at Cheryl's house".
Violet looked at Lucas "Luna invited me to a party, wanna ditch?" she asked Lucas and he felt honored that she was inviting him out with her, he looked at her and nodded "Sounds like a fun time" he told her. She nodded as she texted Luna "Hey Wonder, I'm down. Hope you guys don't mind I invited Lucas, he's cool. Can one of you pick us up, Shawn dropped me off" before looking at Lucas "I will tell you now, there's most likely going to be drugs and alcohol at the party so if you're uncomfortable please let me know now" she told him. Lucas appreciated her thinking of him as he shook his head "It's okay darling, I don't mind changing my atmosphere" he told her as she checked her phone as Luna texted "Good cause we're already outside, we knew you'd say yes". "They are outside, let's go" Violet told him and he nodded as he swept her off of her feet, bridal style making her laugh "You fucking goofball" she said as she wrapped her arm around his neck to steady herself. Riley who was dancing with Maya saw the scene and she couldn't help but to feel heartbroken but she was also confused as to why Violet and Lucas were leaving to. Her gut was telling her to follow them and that's exactly what she did as she tugged Maya who was confused but followed her anyways.
Stacy honked her horn jokingly when she saw Lucas carrying Violet "Y'all got married without us" she jokingly yelled out the window causing Violet to flick her off "Marriage in this economy" she yelled back. Lucas laughed at the two girls as he placed Violet down and she lifted her dress to not drag her dress, Riley who tailed the duo with Maya stood by the doors of the gym looking out the door "They are going with the high schoolers, can they even do that?" she asked Maya who looked at her "I don't think so" she told her. Riley decided to make herself seen as she stepped out of the doorway "Lucas? Where are you going? I don't think leaving without your parent is allowed" she told him making Lucas look at her in surprise to see her "Did you follow us?" he asked her. Violet who turned her head to see who Lucas was talking to and sighed as she hiked up her dress and walked up to him as she dragged him by his ear "I don't have time for time" she told him as she dragged him all the way to the car. "I'll tell my dad if you leave" Riley called out to her even though she was bluffing as Violet raise a brow and pushed Lucas in the car "Do it! I dare you" she called back out to her before getting into the car.
Stacy immediately drove off as soon as the door closed "Are you scared that she's going to snitch?" she had asked Violet who seemed to not care "She was bluffing, she knows if she snitch then Lucas would get in trouble plus I can text Shawn if anything happens" she said as she leaned her head against Lucas. "I know I promised Shawn I wouldn't drink again, but fuck it I want alcohol" Violet told the girls and Lucas looked surprised to hear that she had alcohol before but he knew he wasn't to underestimate her. Violet smirked as they reached Cheryl's house and she was the first one out the car and inside the house as she looked around at the group of people who were dancing and drinking. She looked at her dress and went upstairs to Cheryl's room to borrow clothes as she knew she would go ballistic, she found a dress and put it on.

Violet adjusted her heels and took her hair down for its bun as she looked in the mirror and gave herself a smile before she texted Shawn of her and Lucas whereabouts before making her way back down the stairs. As she walked down the stairs, she caught the attention of some guys but she didn't pay them no mind as she found herself going to the kitchen to find her friends who seemed stunned at her change of appearance. "Nice dress, wonder where you got it from" Cheryl teased as Violet gave her a spin before she saw that the girls were doing shots as Lucas stood on the side drinking soda. "This isn't peer pressure, do you want to drink?" Violet asked him as she grabbed a shot and looked at him, Lucas thought about it and shook his head "No it's alright darling, you have fun" he told her and she respected it as she took her shot and smiled. "You know I would never pressure you right?" she asked him as she took another shot and leaned against the table to relax as Lucas nodded his head "Yeah I know that V, I appreciated the offer. I might take your offer up later" he said to her.
And he wasn't wrong, when later came Lucas was going shot for shot with Violet who didn't even seem like she was affected by the alcohol, Lucas on the other hand was starting to feel the alcohol as he stumbled slightly. Violet took one more shot and laughed as she grabbed Lucas arm to stabilize him "Easy there cowboy, slow it down" she told him as she looked at him, she felt the alcohol but she wouldn't say she was drunk. Luna wrapped her arm around Violet as she made her take another shot "Good girl" Luna teased when Violet took the shot with ease, "Don't you try to make me drunk Wonder, I'm responsible over this one" Violet told her as she blushed at the praise. Violet looked over at Stacy and Cheryl who seemed to be serving Jell-O shots and she was interested as she grabbed two so that Lucas could try it too. She enjoyed it as she cleaned the container before she slipped out of Luna's light grip to grab water as her head was starting to kill her and she made sure to share with Lucas. Speaking of Lucas, he seemed to be drunk as his eyes were low but his energy level was high as he was laughing with Luna about who knows what. He turned his attention to Violet as he took a sip of the water "You know I never drank before but I feel real good" he told her drunkenly as some of his words slurred but she understood him fine.
"I'm glad honey, you need to eat something" Violet told him as she wanted him to sober up at least a little bit as she wasn't sure if she could trust a drunk Lucas, she looked at Stacy who pointed towards the counter with snacks "I'm ordering pizza and wings now" she told her. Violet nodded as she walked over to the snack counter and grabbed a bag of chips and gave it to Lucas who started to eat them with a smile "Thank you" he told her with his mouthful making her laugh. Within a few minutes, Violet found herself dancing on a table surrounded by her friends and other people as Cheryl started to blast "Save a horse (Ride a cowboy) by Big and Rich". She laughed at the song choice as it was Lucas' ringtone but she did her best dance moves as she looked attractive.
Violet laughed as she had pulled Cheryl on the table with her as it was big enough and they started to dance with each other. She was having so much fun and she didn't want the night to end as she carefully spun Cheryl and Luna changed the song to "Low by Flo Rida and T-Pain" and that got them hyped. Lucas eyes stayed on Violet as she danced as he never saw her dance like this before, normally when she danced it was more of a joke but this time it was different and very attractive to him. He had to hide his jealousy as other guys had their eyes on her, but he knew he wouldn't react unless someone made the wrong move and he was glad he was paying attention as Cheryl playfully pushed Violet into his arms. Lucas stumbled slightly as she fell from a small height, but he had her nonetheless as he made sure her dress was pulled down before placing her down. Violet laughed when she was pushed onto Lucas as she had her hands on his shoulders and began dancing against him. She felt his eyes on her as she spun herself around and playfully shook her ass on him before turning around and danced on him.
She wasn't sure where the dance moves were coming from but she didn't care as she felt wild and free and there was nothing that could ruin her mood. Her eyes flickered to Lucas as he was looking at her and she wasn't sure what look he was giving her as she watched him place his hands on her hips. Lucas gripped her hips slightly as he tried to ground his thinking, he couldn't release his feelings in this state and she was driving him crazy, the alcohol was truly taking its toll on him as he bit his lip. Violet raised a brow at his actions as she stroked his cheek smiling at him before the doorbell rung "Ooo food" she said as she watched Stacy pay for the food and brought it to the kitchen. She motioned for the kitchen and Lucas nodded as he needed space from everyone else and they made their way to the kitchen. The smell of the pizza made Violet practically drool as she grabbed a slice and practically inhaled it not even caring that it was hot and Lucas followed suit.
After eating, Violet wanted to drink more and that's exactly what she did as Lucas on the other hand started to sober himself up as he didn't want to expose his feelings for her by accident. She drank about 6 shots before making herself a drink as she sipped on it and danced to herself as she watched her friends dance with each other. The party was everything she needed as she leaned against Lucas who didn't mind as he looked at her "Thank you" he told her and Violet looked at him "For what Cowboy" she asked confused. Lucas pulled her in front of him and allowed her to lean against him "Just thank you for everything" he told her and she smiled at him. "It's my pleasure" she told him and with that they enjoyed the rest of their night, they ended up staying the night while was no surprise.

"Girl Meets Semi-Formal"
Disclaimer: I hope you guys enjoy! This was a little fun chapter to write and I hope I didn't disappoint. I decided to have them skip out on the semi-formal midway because it wasn't of much importance to Violet and I thought it would be fun to write Lucas hanging out with the girls. Who knew Violet had some moves on her lol. I almost made Lucas do a drunk confession but decided that it would be better if it happened sober. But um yeahhh next chapter is the Farkle episode and I am super excited, speaking of Farkle I was asked to write a Farkle story so that's what I'm gonna do. It doesn't mean I'm not gonna update this one, I still will as this story is my baby. I've already done two chapters for the book it's called "Love is Embarrassing" I will be posting it and will officially be writing it as soon as I get to Girl Meets Texas. Soo I hope you guys enjoy it, I think it'll be a good thing but yeah that's all folks
