It was Friday night dinner and the Gilmore ladies sat at the dinning room table. They were waiting for Richard to come out from the kitchen, he insisted on making a dish his mother used to make for this week's dinner.
"Here we are, a treat for the masses." Richard walked out of the kitchen with a casserole dish
"Smells good." Rory commented
"Oh, this is my favorite thing to eat as a boy. My gran used to make this for me whenever I was feeling a little sad. You know, if my cricket team lost or a girl I fancied turned up her nose at me." Richard reminisced
"Well, then load me up because there was this really cute chick at the pharmacy today. I used my best material on her and nothing." Sabrina joked
"Richard, at least let Pina serve it." Emily said ignoring Sabrina's comment
"Pina will serve tiny, proper servings. Johnny Machete needs to be presented in a heap." Richard firmly stated
"Johnny Machete?" The twins said at the same time
"That's the name of this vile concoction." Emily said in disgust
"It's delicious." Sabrina shoveling a mouthful of the casserole
"It's not bad." Lorelai tilted her head and nodded
"It's twelve different colors." Emily exclaimed
"Emily." Richard said
"I'm sorry. I'm happy you're happy, and to prove it, I will take exactly three bites of this before I throw it out." Emily compromised
"Thank you. So, good food, good company. Now, let's move onto good conversation. Rory, what is new in your life?" Richard asked
Rory announced she had chosen to go to Yale. Which caused Richard to bust out the champagne and Emily to go on a phone call spree to brag to all her friends. Sabrina sat there wondering if they would ever be this excited about any of her accomplishments. Sure they were microscopic compared to what Rory has done, but it would still be nice to feel celebrated by more than just her mom.

Sabrina and Rory sat on Rory's bed planning out Lorelai's birthday week. They wanted to do something special because she had been so stressed and working extra hard due to the fire at the inn.
"Okay, so, Monday I thought we'd start with facials at Sloopy's after school." Rory said reading off a list
"Mudpack Monday, I love it." Sabrina lied on her back eating pizza
"Then we'll have double feature Tuesday, Sephora Wednesday, complimentary makeover Thursday, and then, big fat fabulous Friday." Rory finished reading the list
"D-day!"
"BD-day!"
"Culminating in the fabulous blowout of a party we're planning. I'm so excited!" Sabrina exclaimed
"We still have major planning to do for that"
"What do you mean?"
"Well what exactly are we doing?"
"Having a party, duh" Sabrina sarcastically scoffed
"Yes but like what kind of party?" Rory rolled her eyes
Sabrina stared at the ceiling then down at her pizza. Suddenly a lightbulb went off in her head. She sprang up from the bed and stood up straight.
"I got it!" Sabrina shouted
"What?" Rory asked
"The world's largest pizza!"
"Huh?"
Sabrina suddenly ran out the room
"Where are you going?" Rory shouted
"Research!" Sabrina yelled as she ran out the door

Later in the day Rory went over to Weston's Bakery to place a cake order for Lorelai's party.
"So, that's a four foot chocolate cake with individual vanilla cupcakes on top spelling out Happy 16th Birthday Lorelai?" Fran looked questionably at the order
"That's right." Rory nodded
"We have a glitch" Sabrina said bursting through the bakery door
"Where did you come from?" Rory confusedly asked
"Well, apparently, the world's largest pizza was 122 feet, 8 inches."
"What?" Rory was still confused on what exactly Sabrina was planning
"Then I thought I'll just make the biggest pizza of Connecticut, but Litchfield made one last year that was 98 feet."
"Okay what exactly is going on?"
"Pete said the biggest they could do was a twelve footer. Maybe I'll just tell her it's the world's largest pizza. Ugh I'm gonna have to lie to mom on her birthday!" Sabrina began to ramble to herself
She started to walk out the bakery and Rory followed behind her. They walked past the video store where they ran into Jess leaving the building.
"Hey" Jess greeted
"Hey" Sabrina smiled
"I got the video for tonight."
"What'd you get?"
"Almost Famous."
"I love that movie!" Sabrina exclaimed
"I hate that movie" Rory mumbled
"Can we get Indian food?" Sabrina asked Jess
"Seriously?" Jess asked
"Hey, last night when we watched Ed Wood we got burgers like you wanted to." Sabrina defended
"Okay fine, tonight, Indian food, but tomorrow, Saturday Night Fever and Thai food." Jess compromised
"That's so cute. You're like a really sweet old agoraphobic couple." Rory commented
"Thank you very much." Jess said
"Well I'm going to go study, I'll see you later" Rory said leaving the couple
"She's going to Yale right?" Jess asked
"Yep" Sabrina nodded
"What about you? You decide yet?"
"I have actually" A smile began to grow on Sabrina's face
"Really?" Jess asked surprised, he knew how conflicted she was about her future.
"Well a few weeks ago a lady at the beauty shop asked me if I wanted to volunteer at her salon, so I've been volunteering for a while. It's been really great, such an amazing experience, and she said that after highschool she would hire me full time."
"Really that's amazing Sabrina" Jess pulled her into a hug
"It's no Yale" Sabrina mumbled
"Oh screw Yale"
"Oh and there's another thing"
"What's that?"
"I've applied to cosmetology school and got accepted"
"That's amazing!"
"Oh please it's not that big of a deal, I just want to make sure I'm fully prepared to work in a salon, plus I'll have so much free time to work on my art. That's the end goal to do art as a career, but I got to start somewhere"
"I'm so proud of you Sabrina" Jess smiled
