I was coming back from work tired and hungry.I entered the house and found an eviction notice on the table.
I walked to the kitchen and found my dad preparing dinner.
"What's this dad?"
"What?Can't a father do some nice things for his little girl on her birthday? You've done so much for this family..Happy 23rd!"
"Thank you Dad but money is so tight this month you shouldn't have done all this"
"Come on inspector let's not talk about money right now you sit down and enjoy your birthday dinner"
I smiled at my dad and gave him a tight hug.
"Dad you actually remembered my birthday this year"
My dad walked out of the room to make a call.
I was eating a piece of cake and my dad looked distracted and unhappy.
"This is so good thank you Dad!"
There was a knock at the door and dad smiled a bit.
I looked at him and looked at the door.
The door suddenly opened and a mascular man walked in followed by another man.
"I thought I'd let myself in"he said.
"Dad?do you know these guys?Dad!"
"Hhm so this is your daughter?" The mascular man asked.
I wanted to get up but he pushed me back on mu seat.
"Yeah"
"She's kinda pretty,let's go pumpkin you coming with us "he stated.
"Dad!who are you?Dad call the police!"
"Call the police?your dad sold you to cover his gambling debt"
"What?Dad!?No no no that's not possible!dad!dad!"
The man brought me up with so much force dragging me outside.
I was in pain and my dad couldn't do anything.
