Yumi and the girls had spent the entire day preparing a surprise dinner for the boys, eager to welcome them home in style.
"I can't wait to see the look on their faces when they walk in and see all of this food."
Sunhee grinned back at her, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Me too, Yumi. I can't wait to have Dokyeom home"
"Baby number two?" Hana teased her
Gyuri nodded in agreement, her hands busy setting the table with an array of colorful dishes. "Definitely. I bet he's already thought of it"
"Geonwoo said anything?" Areum asked
"He was still waiting on them"
"He knows they have drivers?" Yumi said looking awfully curious at Gyuri
"Tell that to him. He volunteered"
As the sky turned a brilliant shade of orange, the girls put the final touches on the dinner table and stepped back to admire their handiwork.
"We did good" Yumi said proudly
Hana grinned at the sight of the table, with Hyunwoo in one leg and Pea in another " Wow, everything looks amazing"
"And one kid is still sleeping" Areum said "thank god"
Gyuri check her phone " they're here"
Just then, the sound of the front door opening and closing echoed through the restaurant, followed by the excited chatter of familiar voices. The girls exchanged excited glances before hurrying to greet their boyfriends.
"Welcome home" Yumi said wrapping her arms around Joshua neck
"You look amazing" he smiled and kissed her "and smell like sweets"
"I really hope that bag of yours is for me" she glanced down and smirked
"Only after dinner" he wrapped her waist and lift her up " I'm home"
As Seventeen walked into the restaurant, their faces lit up with surprise and delight at the sight of the beautifully decorated table and the delicious spread of food laid out before them.
"Woah, what's all this?" Minghao exclaimed, his eyes widening in amazement as he took in the scene before him " you didn't had to do this"
"You must be tired" Scoups said already with Eunjae in his arms "thanks babe" he kissed Areum
"It's a surprise dinner to welcome you home!" Hana exclaimed, her eyes shining with excitement. "We wanted to do something special for you guys."
"You're perfect" Jeonghan said
Seventeen exchanged excited glances with each other before eagerly taking their seats at the table, their mouths watering at the sight and smell of the delicious food.
As they dug into the meal, the restaurant was filled with the sound of laughter as the girls and the boys caught up on all the latest news.
"So, how was tour?" Yumi asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity as she glanced around the table.
Scoups grinned back at her, his eyes shining with excitement. "It was incredible. The fans were amazing, and we had such a blast performing for them every night."
"Who got drunk after the concert that's what I want to know" Gyuri asked making all of them laugh and look at Dino and Mingyu
As the evening wore on and the rest of the group started doing their own thing, Joshua and Yumi found themselves alone in the cozy confines of Joshua's bedroom. With the soft glow of the bedside lamp casting a warm, inviting light over the room, they couldn't help but feel a sense of intimacy wash over them.
Joshua glanced over at Yumi, his eyes twinkling with affection as he held out his hand. "Care to dance, Sweets?"
Yumi's heart fluttered at Joshua's invitation, her cheeks flushing with warmth as she took his hand and allowed him to lead her to the center of the room. As they swayed gently to the soft strains of music playing in the background, Yumi couldn't help but feel a sense of peace wash over her, wrapped up in Joshua's strong embrace.
"You come straight out of my books" Yumi murmured, her voice soft and filled with emotion.
Joshua smiled back at her, his eyes shining with adoration. " I did my homework"
As they danced, the rest of the world seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them lost in their own little bubble of happiness.
Eventually, the music came to an end, and Joshua reluctantly pulled away from Yumi, his hand still clasped tightly in her waist "How about we watch a movie?"
Yumi nodded as she followed Joshua over to the bed, where he pulled up a selection of movies on his laptop. As they settled in together, their shoulders brushing against each other in a comforting way, Yumi couldn't lie and said she didn't felt butterflies in her stomach.
They scrolled through the list of movies, debating over which one to watch, before finally settling on a romantic comedy that they both loved. As they cuddled up together under the blankets, the movie playing softly in the background, Yumi couldn't help but feel sleepy.
As the movie played on, Yumi felt her eyelids growing heavy, the warmth and comfort of Joshua's arms lulling her into a state of blissful relaxation.So she snuggled closer to him, her head resting against his chest as she drifted off to sleep.
Joshua enjoyed to look at Yumi, her peaceful expression and soft breaths sending a warm flutter through his chest. He couldn't resist teasing her a bit, nudging her gently with his elbow. "Hey, sleepyhead. You're missing all the best parts."
Yumi stirred slightly, her eyes fluttering open as she blinked up at him with a drowsy smile. "I'm not asleep, Joshua. Just resting my eyes."
Joshua chuckled softly as he tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear. "Sure, sure. Whatever you say, sleepyhead."
Yumi rolled her eyes playfully at Joshua's teasing "Well, if you're so concerned about me missing the best parts, maybe you should rewind the movie and start over."
"Or maybe we could just skip to the best part... you and me, cuddled up together in bed."
Yumi's cheeks flushed pink at Joshua's suggestion, but she couldn't help but smile back at him, her heart fluttering with excitement. "I like the sound of that."
After some minutes, Yumi was indeed sleeping in his arms while he turn on the movie on because he was wide awake.
Scoups stepped into Joshua's room, his expression thoughtful as he observed the scene before him. Joshua and Yumi lay curled up together on the bed, their bodies entwined in a peaceful embrace.
"Hey"Scoups said softly, his voice gentle as he approached the bed. "The girls are leaving now. They wanted to know if Yumi wanted to go with them"
Joshua glanced up at Scoups, a small smile playing on his lips as he looked back down at Yumi "I'll take her home. Yumi fell asleep, and I don't want to disturb her."
Scoups nodded understandingly "You know, Joshua, you deserve to be happy. And from what I've seen, Yumi might just be what you need."
Joshua's smile widened at Scoups' words and as he settled back into bed, wrapping his arms around Yumi's sleeping form, he couldn't help but feel grateful for this moment of peace and contentment.
