y/n pulls down the hood of her fluffy coat. sailor barks running around the tombstone. y/n sighs softly, putting down pink tulips on top of the grave. she reads the engravings like she's read them a thousand times before.

"hi mama," the stars seem to shine brighter, the moon revealing m/n's grave in the light. "how are you?" and the stars shine brighter, once more. "i'm pretty good. i've got some friends. like some real friends," y/n laughs. "maybe not a lot, but a few. and i'm happy about it,"
sailor barks, sitting at y/n's feet as he pants, his tongue sticking out.
"you shouldn't even be out here, sailor," y/n scolds, zipping up the pink dog coat sailor's wearing. "it's cold and dark. and you're a puppy dog,"
you think sailor was going to let his mama go out in new ninjago city by herself in the dark. nuh uh.
sailor rubs his snout against her hand, licking her fingers.
y/n laughs, rubbing the top of his head.
"and as you can see, sailor is growing," y/n says to the tombstone. "he's learning how to use the potty and i'm very proud of him..." y/n scrunches up her nose from the cold. "me and dad...we...we still don't talk," the stars grown dimmer. "but it's okay. i still have hope that we will eventually," the stars glisten in the dark sky as y/n looks up.
y/n's phone buzzes in her pocket, making sailor bark.
