WHAT ATHANASIA SAW...
It's been a day since Athanasia arrived to the Dessere Empire, she was two days early than when the banquet would begin.
The other delegations from different kingdoms have already started to arrive, so she wasn't the only delegate that arrived early.
Athanasia decided to take a walk, and admire the beautiful garden that was seen through her window. She wanted to see it more closely, so she exited her assigned room, leaving without telling any of the servants she brought from obelia.
The servants who were doing their tasks around the palace all looked at her in awe. She had already gotten used to the stares when she first arrived yesterday.
She began to hum a melody during her walk to the garden. She missed her father so quickly even though it's only been a single day since she left.
Athanasia quickly arrived to the garden, stopping her humming to admire the beautiful garden she was in.
The flowers were roses, white roses with a mix of red ones. With beautiful statues of angels all around the maze garden.
She entered the pretty garden, admiring the scent of the flowers and the fresh breeze of wind, it was calming.
Athanasia continued her walk into the flower maze garden, seeing trees around the garden, with growing fruits. she saw how the garden was healthy, before she heard a rough coughing from behind her.
She turned around to see a pale man with pure white hair, coughing up blood as his hand was on the garden grass wall to support his standing.
Athanasia's eyes widened at the sight, as she immediately walked up to the man, worried because he was coughing up blood.
"Oh my goodness! Are you alright?!" Athanasia asked, though she could clearly tell he wasn't.
The man stopped coughing, as their eyes met, time seemed to slow down as the two were having a moment..
jeweled blue eyes met with crimson red ones, their gazes locking on one another.
Athanasia was stunned by what she saw.. the male had beautiful crimson red eyes that seemed to shine brighter than her jeweled blue ones, she was in a daze as she couldn't look or do anything else other than look into the man's eyes.
While the man's expression was just like hers, except he could look away from her.
Wiping away the blood on his face, the blood he Coughed up. He had a poker face on, which was obvious to athanasia.
"I'm alright, miss." The male said, as he looked at her. He was taking in her features, making a mental portrait of the girl in his mind.
"Are you sure? Y-you were coughing up blood!" Athanasia said worriedly.
"I assure you, miss. I am perfectly fine," The white haired male stated, a frown apparent on his face.
"If you don't mind me, I'll take my leave." The man said, walking hastely away from the princess.
Athanasia tried to catch up to him to ask his name and to lead him to the clinic in the palace, but he ignored her calls for him.
The male was already long gone when athanasia blinked, he was fast, really fast.
"I couldn't even get his name.." Athanasia stood there inside the Flower Maze garden, her jewel eyes looked to the direction the man disappeared in.
DEON'S VISITATION TO THE PALACE POV
Deon sighed a sigh of relief, entering the inside of the palace, and leaning on the wall, while the servants around didn't dare to look at him.
"Fuck... Why did I act like such a bastard.." Deon muttered, he didn't know how to act around the girl he met earlier, but he felt his heart skip a beat when he looked into her eyes earlier..
'and why the fuck was she so pretty..' Deon thought in his mind, blushing like crazy after he lost his poker face.
It took everything he had to not blush infront of the girl earlier when they had direct eye contact.
'who even was she..' Deon asked himself, he faced palmed himself when he realized he didn't know her name, and he didn't recognize her too..
Deon's legs felt weak as he thought about the girl, her beautiful blonde locks that moved perfectly when she did, her skin looked soft and smooth, her adorable cheeks, her lips looked so kissable, while she looked at him with worry visible with her pretty jeweled blue eyes, wait.. jeweled?
Deon paused his earlier thoughts for a moment before realizing the girl's unique eyes. He had never seen nor heard of someone having jeweled eyes, those eyes shined like diamonds..
Deon frowned, his curiousty on her eyes getting the best of him.
But before he could think more about her, he realized he was now infront of the emperor.
In the throne room... Wait.. 'how did he get here?!'
'How does this body of his always move on it's own?!'
"Deon Hart," the emperor said, as Deon kneeled to him.
"Your majesty, the great emperor." Deon said, his tone being one of a cold, and enraged one. Though, that was just pretense.
He needed to act this way, or else he'd be found out that he was actually a weakling, and everyone knows what the emperor does with weaklings..
" you may rise," the emperor said, allowing deon to stand up from his greeting.
"I saw you earlier with Princess Athanasia." The emperor stated, to Deon's surprise.
'the obelian princess that he told me about three days ago? But I haven't met her at all, unless..' Deon's thoughts were in total chaos.
"Well, I didn't see you with her, elpidius did." The emperor corrected himself, his voice booming with amusement.
"Isnt she as beautiful as a fairy?" The emperor said as he smirked, wondering whether her beauty was up to the standards of his 'loyal' dog, mostly wondering on what deon thought of the obelian princess after meeting her.
"She is.." Deon spoke with truth laced in his voice, to which the emperor was surprised with Deon actually speaking.
Normally, Deon would just stay silent whenever he would talk about ladies.
"hm, if her beauty is enough for you to agree, then it's no wonder why she's called the most beautiful." the emperor spoke with amusement, laughing.
Meanwhile Deon was wondering why the emperor called for him to go to the palace, yet again.
"Well, My Nephew has fallen for the obelian royal, so I will command you with the amusing order to make Princess Athanasia fall for Elpidus." the emperor who gave the order laughed at what he just said.
"pardon?" deon asked, his once intimidating glare turned to one of sadness
'why do i feel so... Hurt?' deon thought to himself, his poker face on the outside was breaking.
"It's just like how i said it, i command you to make princess Athanasia fall for Elpidus." the emperor repeated, amusement in his eyes as he saw deon's pained expression, "the obelian princess is the next ruler of obelia, so it would do wonders for our empire if she marries Elpidus." "imagine the amount of wealth the empire will receive upon her marriage with elpidus."
"but don't worry, honorary Count hart, you will receive a large sum of what the obelian empire will give as dowagery, only if you succeed in making princess athanasia fall for my nephew." the emperor stated. deon tried to look as calm and as 'normal' as he could..
"yes, your majesty." deon, who could not disobey the emperor at the moment, agreed to the task, the command.

SO THIS CHAPTER WAS ACTUALLY REALLY CONFUSING FOR ME TO WRITE BC I WROTE TWO VERSIONS, AND I JUST JUST PICKED THE ONE THAT WAS SHORTEST AND MORE IN CHARACTER??
CAUSE IN THE OTHER VERSION, INSTEAD OF ATHANASIA MEETING DEON THROUGH HIM COUGHING UP BLOOD LIKE USUAL IN THE GARDEN, HE FELL OFF A TREE THAT HE WAS SLEEPING ON AMD ACCIDENTALLY MET ATHANASIA WHO LOOKED REALLY WORRIED BUT SHE ALSO THOUGHT HE WAS HANDSOME
AND DEON AND HER HAD A REALLY AWKWARD CONVERSATION CAUSE THEY BOTH DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO TALK TO SOMEONE THAT THEY WERE ROMANTICALLY ATTRACTED TO.
IT WAS A CUTE VERSION BUT I DONT THINK U GUYS WOULD LIKE THAT 😅😅😅
