Y/n's pov;
"Tb/n's still asleep?" I hear Uno asked.
I was laying on my left side all curled up underneath the blankets with my eyes still closed. I felt more worse today than yesterday.
"Number 07 has the flu plus his fever is still 103°F, and his arm I did surgery on got infected somehow. So I had to redo his stitches and clean it out plus give him extra medications. His not having a good day." Doctor Otogi said.
I felt someone lift my blanket off my head. "Aww, his adorable when his asleep." Kiji said.
Someone started poking my nose and I groaned. "Tb/nnn, wake up." Nico said.
"Number 25 get away from him, you have a low immune system. I don't need you sick." Doctor Okina said.
"Aww," Nico whined.
I open my eyes and lifted my head up. Rock, Uno, Nico, Trois, Honey, Kenshirou, and Kiji were here.
"Hey, buddy." Rock said.
Uno laughs. "Nice bedhead, Tb/n." He walks over and fixes it. "There,".
"What are you doing here?" I asked in a raspy voice.
"It's time for Nico's medicine and we wanted to check on you." Rock said
"Okay, but why are they here?" I asked about Kenshirou, Kiji, Honey, and Trois.
"Hajime is suspended for three days, so Kenshirou is in charge of us for today and two other guards will watch us for the other two days." Uno said.
"Oh," I said, before I looked at Honey, Trois, and Kiji. "Why the hell are you three here?".
"The injuries, we gotten from playing hyahunin isshu in the tournament. Haven't been healing well." Trois say, while looking at their fingers.
"You got injured from a card game?" Rock asked.
"It's bad take a look." Trois said before showing us his finger.
"I think I see it." Rock said.
"So you're whining from a paper cut? I had worse Injuries than that." I said, as I sat up. Even though Doctor Otogi let me keep my shirt on, my gloves had to stay off because of my iv.
"Oh my," I hear Trois said.
I could feel people staring at my hands all scared up with burns and old stitches where I busted my hands up.
"Stop staring at my hands or I'll give something else to stare at." I warned.
"Sorry,".
"We realize the wounds are small but Kiji suggested we come here." Honey said.
"Kinda creepy." Uno said.
"Seems like something he would do." Rock said.
"So Doctor Otogi, do you want to give me my medicine now?" Nico asked.
"No, not until I examine you. There might be some lingering effects from the tournament." Doctor Otogi said.
"What do you mean?" Kenshirou asked.
"You weren't informed? This patient is effected by those around him." Doctor Otogi said.
"Weird choice of words." Kenshirou said.
"What's so weird about it?" Honey asked.
"I thought most diseases were transferred between people?" Trois questioned, while Doctor Otogi started doing a exam on Nico.
"Who said anything about diseases? You saw this kid at the tournament right? He can copy anyone around him regardless in any difference of experience, altitude, or muscle mass. Down the road it'll come back and bite him in the ass. I'm surprised he's even alive after using a master level technique like qigong. The medication I prescribed him prohibits this Infectious ability. It works pretty damn well if he remembers to take it." Doctor Otogi said.
"Yeah, sorry about that." Nico said.
"So that's how, he's able to fight so well." Trois said.
"Remind me not to get on his bad side." Honey said.
"What on earth are you two looking for? I already told you, number 15 isn't here." Kenshirou said to Rock and Uno are looking around the office. We hear footsteps enter the room.
"Doctor Otogi, I brought the request medicine." Kaguya said. Rock and Uno knocked Kenshirou down to the floor as they ran by.
"Kaguya!!!" They shouted, as the others begin to surround her and asked her questions.
"Oh boy," I said.
Kenshirou got up to his feet. "I actually believed, you were concerned for your cellmate.".
"We're all concerned for Jyugo, but we can't sit around being depressed about it. You gotta pass time some how." I said. Kenshirou and Kiji looks at me. "I have a feeling Jyugo will be back soon.".
"You have a lot of hopes, inmate." Kenshirou said.
"No, it's called luck. My gut is usually right." I said.
"Number 07, you need to lay back down and rest until your breakfast comes." Doctor Otogi said.
"Yeah, alright. I wish i had my damn books or something to do." I said, before laying back down.
~The next day~
Uno's pov;
"So what guard are we getting next?" Nico asked.
"Don't know" i said, before our cell door started opening.
"I'm supervisor Mitsuba, and I'll be in charge of you for today." Kiji says, as we looked at him with a blank expression. "But you can call me, Kiji, let's all have fun.".
"Stranger danger!!" Me and my cellmates yelled.
"I had to deal with a long day to get here, so you should show some appreciation." Kiji said.
"What are you talking about? We're in the same prison." Rock said.
"Hey Jyugo, how big is this prison?" I asked then it hit us.
"Oh yeah, Jyugo isn't with us." Rock said.
"He was such a big part of us, that we took him for granted." Nico said.
"It's funny, this cell feels a whole lot bigger now doesn't it?" I questioned.
"Where ever he is, I hope he's eating well." Rock said.
"I don't want to rush him but I hope he heals soon." Nico said.
I get up from the ground and grabbed stuff to make a Jyugo pillow.
"Aw I missed you, Jyugo." Nico said.
"You got a stickle expression down bad." Rock said.
"It comes painfully obvious that none of you know anything about this prison. So seeing that we'll be spending this time together. I think I'll give you a short lesson on it's lay out." Kiji said.
"What???" We questioned.
"Don't start complaining." Kiji says, before a map pops up on the wall. "Here we have a map of Japan.".
Rock looks around."Do we have a projector?".
"Nanba prison is on a remote land located, somewhere secret in Japanese territorial waters." Kiji said.
"If you weren't going to tell us, then why use a map?" I asked, before the picture changed to the outside of Nanba prison.
"It's huge!" Rock said, before pictures of different parts of the buildings appeared on the wall.
"Along with headquarters and the thirteen buildings to inmate housing. There's also a research facility, stadium, a shopping mall, movie theater, ski slopes, etc." Kiji said.
"Why would you build that crap at a prison, who's it suppose to be for?" I asked.
"I wanna go to the movie theater!" Nico said.
"The recreation facilities are for guards." Kiji said.
"Are there farms and markets too?" Rock asked.
"Of course not, that would be wildly impractical." Kiji answered.
"But ski slopes are fine?" Rock questioned.
Nobody's pov;
"Inmates are grouped by crime, traits, and abilities. Then sent to the building with the supervisor best suited to deal with." Kiji says, before pointing at an number. "This here is my building 3, and this is where we are.. It's about a 30 minute train ride between them.".
"That is far." Nico said.
"I had no idea." Rock said.
"Yes and due to the length of my transit. I had to wake up an hour early today. I didn't even have time to do my makeup, not properly at least." Kiji said.
"That sounds rough man." Rock said.
"Yeah." Nico said.
"Well at least I taught you all a valuable lesson." Kiji looked over at the inmates and saw Uno not paying attention to him. Kiji went over to him and kicks him."Pay attention!!".
"What's the big idea, you almost put a scar on my handsome face!" Uno said.
"There's nothing handsome about it! I have already scored all of you. " Kiji says, before pointing Rock. "He's a nine" Kiji points at Nico "His a ten, and your cellmate that's in the infirmary is a ten". And lastly at Uno. "And you're a two".
"Oh come on I deserve way more than two points!" Uno said.
"I was actually being generous to spare your feelings. Feel free to thank me." Kiji said.
"Alright then what's your score?" Uno asked.
"I'm a solid one hundred." Kiji said.
"I'm not even a two out of ten? Yeah well you're a mean bird!" Uno said.
"I'm a prime of my youth, you braided potato." Kiji said.
"Leave potatoes out of it, you're a bitter cranberry!" Uno shouted, as they got in each other's faces.
"You better not be setting me up for fruit cake joke." Kiji said, before they hear the cell door open.
"Excuse me, it's awfully noisy in here, is everything ok?" Seitarou asked. "If there's anything, I could do help don't hesitate to ask please.".
"You wanna help? Then go die!" Uno said.
"And make sure, I don't have to share a frame with you again!" Kiji said.
"But I didn't even do anything wrong." Seitarou cried.
"Someone's on a short fuse today." Nico said.
"He's probably stressed because Jyugo, isn't here." Rock said, as they kept watching Uno and Kiji argue with each other.
~The next day around 8;45am~
Y/n's pov;
"It's good to have you back, Tb/n." Nico said, while still in bed.
"Good to be back, I'm glad my fever is gone but still sucks I'm sick and injured though.. Speaking of which, why are you guys still in bed?" I asked.
Before my cellmates could answer, the cell door opens and Seitarou came in with Samon.
"Get up, you lazy punks!" Samon shouted.
"Supervisor Goku, please calm down." Seitarou said.
"It's an hour past wake up call! If I have to be up then so do they!" Samon shouted.
"Oh no he's almost here!" My cellmates say, before they quickly hid.
"Huh?" We questioned, as heavy footsteps was running in the halls and Yamato ran into our cells causing Seitarou and Samon to fall to the ground.
"Knock knock gentlemen! Who's ready for some morning training?!" Yamato looks around the cell and saw no one but me. "Ah, good morning number 07, are you able to train today?".
"Sorry, but I can't train for a few weeks since I had surgery on my forearm from the tournament." I said.
Samon looked at me. "I apologize for my inmates behavior.".
"It's fine," I said.
"That's okay, we'll train again soon! But I see the others aren't home, so I guess until next time." Yamato said. As he was about to walk out of our cell, Samon stops him by grabbing his shoulder.
"Come on, use your head Yamato. Inmates out of their cell of Nanba prison." Samon said.
"Only if you knew." I watch Samon finding the last of my cellmates hanging from the ceiling.
"That's completely impossible" Samon said.
"Oh hey guys!" Yamato said.
"Well said Supervisor Goku!" Seitarou said.
"I see you, three already been stretching. Let's move on to the training course shall we." Yamato said while walking towards my cellmates.
"Please don't make us, I'm begging you. My body gets so sore the next day." Uno whined.
"Exercise is supposed to be fun" Rock said.
"They're just a bunch of sorry weaklings." Samon said.
"Agreed" Tsukumo said behind Samon.
"Wait, who the hell are you?" Samon asked.
"My number is 99, but I go by Tsukumo." Tsukumo said.
"Number 99 has a passion for physical self improvement. So he's always with me at this time of day." Yamato said.
"Yes, a ninjas training must be consistent." Tsukumo said.
"Now that's the Japanese spirit, and the Japanese spirit will never end!" Yamato said.
"We shall train until the sun sets." Tsukumo said.
"I'm already exhausted." Uno said.
"We haven't even had breakfast yet." Rock said.
"By the way have you heard anything about Jyugo's condition?" Tsukumo asked.
"We have it seems he has a rare case of raw Oyster Tremor cell Syndrome" Uno said.
"Sounds quite serious" Tsukumo said.
"Seriously? You guys are idiots." I said, but they ignored me.
"The doctor tried everything they could think of, but in the end." Nico said.
"Don't tell me, he passed on?" Tsukumo asked, before they looked over at the fake Jyugo and gathered around it.
"Don't sugar coat it, he's dead." Rock said.
"Such a tragic loss." Nico said.
"Let us spend this morning of the memories of Jyugo." Uno said.
"Jyugo, no." Tsukumo cried.
"Ah well even training can wait for somethings." Yamato said, while him and Seitarou are praying.
"Wow, even you guys got convinced." I thought.
"Come on, they just made that up." Samon said.
Uno and Nico quickly shush Rock.
"Hey, what were you about to say?" Samon asked.
"Esp- Espresso machine I want one that's all" Rock lied.
"Request denied, take him away Yamato." Samon said.
"Understood" Yamato said, before him and Tsukumo went over and grabbed Rock by the arms and started dragging him out.
"I don't wanna!" Rock whined.
"With muscles like yours, you'll make a great solider." Yamato said.
"That's our Rock, the pride of Japan." Tsukumo said.
"I'm American, damn it!" Rock shouted from the halls.
"Good luck Rock!" I shouted.
"Not helping, Tb/n!" Rock shouted.
"Get moving we're going with them." Samon looks over at Nico and Uno.
"I refuse, I don't like it out there. I'm a indoor person damn it!" Uno says with a weird look on his face.
"Don't you make that face at me! We're going if you want to or not." Samon said, while walking towards him. Uno hid behind Nico and used him as a shield. Samon froze.
"What's wrong man? Come and get me" Uno say, as Samon let out a irritating growl.
Uno's pov;
"Looks like he hasn't heard of Nico's medicine yet, perfect." I gave a smirk. "I win".
"Have a good workout Rock" I say, before Rock struggles to come around the corner.
"Nico took his medicine today, so he won't be able to do any qigong stuff! He's just a normal scrawny kid right now, don't let Uno fool you!" Rock said.
"Did you seriously just tattle on me?!" I shouted.
"Whatever man, that's what you get for being selfish!" Rock shouted.
"I see, you thought you could trick the new guard. You must have some brass ones." Samon said, as a scared chill went down my spin. Samon came towards me and hit me in the cheek. Before he drags me out with Nico following along behind.
Y/n's pov;
"Number 07 are you ready for breakfast?" Seitarou asked.
I get up from the ground. "Yes, sir." I followed him out.
