"Hey did something happen?'
" Why?"
" You look like you finally did something you feared."
" Of course huh!! I feel good."
She takes the ice cola before Dylan and takes a sip.
" Are you alright?"
" Yhh."
"Since morning you've been acting strange."
" You came in like a spy and now like some sort of... Huh I don't even know what to say."
" Why bother, let's just eat."
Class
In class, Mr. Giveon announces a surprise open book test. Students try to argue with him but he tells them their going to do it whether they like it or not.
Class continues as they are seated next to their partners, the one they chose when they went out in search of sea clams. After Mr. Giveon's class, Miss Sydney walks in ten minutes late to teach only to find the class in a messed state. Others talking, kissing and laughing.
" Will you all greet and stop the nasty things?! Tyron cut it!"
Everyone turns to his direction. He and Beverlyn are kissing. They release their lips.
" Everyone move to your rightful place."
Rashell moves to sit with Katherine her sitting partner and so did the others.
" Beverlyn take your bag and stand.' Rashell do same and move there."
" What?!"
" You both heard me right. I'm changing your sitting position. It's from above and if you've forgotten already, Tyron and Beverlyn, your case isn't over and you kiss anyhow in class. It's either you move to sit with Katherine or you move to another class."
" Fine! I'll move and it was just a kiss. We aren't dating."
" I don't care either."
Miss Sydney replies.
Rashell with no choice moves to sit next to Tyron. Classes continue smoothly and Miss Sydney gives an assignment to the class to finish with their sitting partners by the end of the day and submit it early tomorrow morning.
" See you tomorrow."
Class ends.
" I guess we have a lot to do."
" Let's do it after everyone leaves."
" Sure. I'll be back."
" Hey how are you feeling sitting next to a Maclin?"
" Awwful"
" C'mon, you guys are single and look cute together. You two should hook up, you know.."
" Seriously? Sun, what has gotten into you."
" C'mon cousy.."
" What, I'm just saying. He's a jerk but he's soo hot."
" Of course,he sure his hot."
Darwin chips in and walks away.
" Than someone you know!" Sun retorts
" Hey c'mon, you're shouting."
" Lovers quarrel." Dylan whispers to Rashell .
" Well, Tyron and I will do the work when everyone leaves. We ain't going to anyone's house."
" Alright. Take care."
" Sure, you too."
" Bye, Dylan."
" Bye "
Dylan drags his cousin out of the class.
Tyron ends his chat with his best friends who are teasing him that everything is gonna be bloody between he and Rashell. Everyone leaves and Tyron and Rashell is left alone.
" I've ordered some food for us. It will be here within ten to fifteen minutes."
" Okay, let's start then."
They begin the work quietly and focused till the food came in and distracted them.
" The burger tastes nice. I like it."
" It does taste great."
" Thanks for ordering."
" You'll pay though."
" Geezzzz, you're irritating."
" I know." He says staring at her.
" Why that look? Hey!"
" You've got a little thing below your lip."
" Is it gone?"
" No."
" Is it gone?"
" No."
" Is it gone?"
" No."
" Then do it then."
He takes it off for her and drawn close to her, they look into each other's eyes. Tyron recalls the night they made out and kisses Rashell.
Feeling the soft lips of his on hers, she gives in. They kiss soo deep that Tyron takes off her glasses as they straddle.
They continue to kiss and take off each other's top. Tyron kisses her neck whiles trying to unfasten her bra. She holds his hand and stops him.
Panting, she says.
" Stopp..."
" Why, aren't you enjoying it?"
" Not that, this is not right, we're not in our right senses. We made out during the hiking party and we're both not over it and the fact that we dislike each other doesn't make it right."
" It sure does, we can make out and still hate eachother. I really want this please, I can't get over the incident for some reason."
" I know, I know. Confused. I can't get over it too but.."
" But what?"
" We need to stop it before it turns into something else."
" Is that what you are afraid of? That it might turn into a different feeling..,huh! Look into my eyes Rashell and if you don't want this, I'll stopp."
Rashell looks into his eyes and down to his body which deep down, she loved. Tyron stands before her shirtless and tacks her hair behind her ears.
" Do you want it or not?"
" I don't know.."
Tyron carries her and puts her on the table.
" I can't hold on anymore."
He kisses her and Rashell still confused she gives in and wraps her hands around his neck. Still kissing, he tries to unfasten her bra for the second time.
Rashell stops him and releases her lips and sighs softly.
She gets off the table and puts on her top and wears her glasses.
" What are you doing?"
" As you can see, dressing up."
" C'mon you can't just..,"
" Just what, Tyron?! Tell you stop in the middle of we getting more intimate??"
" Exactly!"
" I can't , this is stupid I haven't forgotten how you molested me."
" C'mon it's in the past now and not an excuse. Get over it."
" Yh it's in the past. So easy for you to say but I went through hell. And I won't let my guts down to let it happen again. Only God knows the number of girls you've...huh! It doesn't even matter, let's just end it here."
She throws his shirt at him and packs her books into her bag.
" Put it on and stop giving me that look. I know you want to flirt with me and I think we're done with the assignment."
" Seriously? You're gonna walk out just like that after we made out?"
" It was a mistake, you started it!!"
" Mistake? You wanted it too!"
" This isn't something we should argue about. I accept, we both wanted it badly but aren't over the incident and we need to end things before they get complicated."
" Fine ..if you say so."
Rashell's phone rings.
" Hola!"
" Hola! Virginia,¿has terminado con tu trabajo?"
" Sí, ¿puedes venir a recogerme?"
" Sí, en camino. Estaré allí en los próximos quince minutos."
" Está bien."
" Are you leaving?"
" Sí. Stay away from me and let's assume nothing happened."
" You know it's impossible to act like nothing happened."
" Nada es imposible. Hasta mañana."
Rashell takes her bag and walks out of the class. Tyron also packs his things and drives home. Uncle Juan arrives on time to pick Rashell up.
