Mark walked into the bedroom. He saw Bella sitting on the bed and smiled. "You okay baby?" He asked as he joined her.

Bella nodded. She looked to him. "I'm just trying to think. And it's hurting my head. Think I'm having an off day," she said. She put her book down. "Do you think we should get married summer or winter?"

Mark shrugged. "Whatever you want, I'm there. I wanna make you happy."

"Think you're forgetting it's your wedding too. And I don't wanna take over and make it all about me," Bella told him. She smiled and kissed his lips. "It's our special day. So we both need to make it special."

"You're there. It'll be special," Mark said as he kissed her again. He looked to her. "You could wear those black lace panties. And I could take them off with my teeth."

Bella grinned. She stood from the bed. Mark looked to her. "Where are you going?" He asked as he sat up. He saw the grin on her face. "Bella."

"Shower," Bella said. She turned to see Mark behind her. "What are you doing?" She asked.

"Shower sex," Mark said as he pushed her into the shower.

Bella rolled her eyes but spread her legs a little wider for him, wrapping her arms around his neck when he kissed her.

"Hold on to my neck, ok?" He breathed, moving both of his hands to the back of her thighs.

Bella nodded, though she was still slightly caught off guard when he lifted her and lowered her onto him, her legs wrapping around his waist as he pinned her against the tile wall.

Her hands gripped his shoulder and into his hair as he started to thrust.

"Fuck." She groaned as gravity sank him further into her. She looked to him. "Do you ever intend to go a day without having sex with me?"

"Never. I'm practicing for the wedding night," He grunted, thrusting faster into her.

"Fuck..." She breathed, her cheek mashed against his hair when her body jerked forward and arms gripped tighter on his neck.

Bella contracted around him, stimulating his own release, leaving them both panting. Mark leaning against her and the wall,

Bella collapsed around his upper body, her head resting on his shoulder.

Carefully, he set her down so that she stood in front of him again.

"Now we just have to figure out how to actually shower without you slipping little Sloan." She chuckled.

Mark smiled and pulled her towards him so that she was fully in the stream of water, ensuring that her hair was thoroughly wet before grabbing shampoo to wash it.

"Your solution is to bathe each other?" Bella laughed when he pulled her back under the water to rinse.

"It seems to be working." He smiled.

"You're going to smell fruity."

"I'll survive." Mark smirked, working his fingers through her hair to get the soap out.

Bella walked into the hospital. She saw Grace walking over to her. "You'll never guess who's back," she said.

"Who?"

"Izzie."

Bella's eyes widened. She shook her head. "No she's not. Why is she back?" She asked.

Grace shrugged. "Someone she knows needs Derek for a consult. She asked me to tell him. I don't think I'm going to," she said.

Bella smiled. "How are you? I feel like we haven't had any time together lately."

"I'm okay. I miss you. Sometimes it's weird not being able to come into you when Derek is snoring," Grace said.

Bella grinned. "Well how about tonight, I come over. We order in Chinese and get drunk? Make it a girls evening. Just us," she told her.

"Sounds like a plan. But we're camping out in your room. That will always be your room. No matter what happens," Grace said as she hugged her best friend.

"I'll bring pjs and tequila."

"Yes."

****

Cristina walked over to Bella and Grace. She sighed. "Owen spoke to the chief who then decided to bring a new cardio chief in. Teddy Altman? Turns out they were in the army together. They have a history."

"Oh wow."

Cristina nodded. "I know. Special army forces Barbie seems to have a thing for him. And I'm not happy about it. Want to psych her out with me?" She asked.

Bella grinned and shrugged. "Why not. Could be fun. Hey, aren't you on cardio today?"

Cristina nodded. "Fun for me. I don't think I'm going to like her," she said.

Grace looked to her. "Do you like anyone? Or are you just complete anti-person?"

"Be quiet."

"Rude."

****

Bella walked over to Bailey. "Dr. Bailey. Have you seen the chief? One of his patients needs an emergency chole," she told her.

Bailey nodded. She turned to Adele. "Okay, I'm on it. Uh, you go ahead and prep the patient. You get yourself a cup of coffee ... decaf. I will find the chief," she said.

Bella smiled over at Adele. "Hi Mrs Webber. Hope you're doing okay," she said as she turned and walked off.

****

Grace was stood outside with Jackson, Owen and Teddy. Teddy looked to Owen. "You heard from Xasella?" She asked.

Owen nodded. "Yeah, I heard he took another tour."

Cristina turned to her. "I'm sorry. Where were you before, Dr. Altman?" She asked as she looked to her.

"In Baghdad with Dr. Hunt."

Grace shook her head. "Oh, no. I mean before that. Where did you do your fellowship?" She questioned.

Knowing she and Bella were doing all they could to get gossip about her for their friend.

"At Mayo," Teddy told her as she looked over to her.

"Oh, with Paul Moak?" Gracr asked. Wanting as much information as possible.

Teddy shook her head. She smiled. "No, Moak is in rochester. I worked primarily with Joshua Moore," she told her.

"Oh, you were at mayo in florida. Moore wrote that paper on retrograde coronary sinus perfusion, right?" Grace asked.

"Yeah. I actually worked on that with him."

"Dr. Grey is, uh, a little thorough," Owen said sharing a look with his girlfriend's friend as she rolled her eyes.

Teddy nodded and smiled. "U.T. Southwestern. And then I did my residency at G.W."

Grace shrugged and smiled. "Well, I mean, have you published? 'Cause according to my friend Bella who did a search on Google, I mean, you don't exist," she said.

Suddenly it started raining. Teddy soon started cheering. "Oh, my God. It's raining!"

Grace nodded. She rolled her eyes. "Yeah, it's Seattle. It rains a lot."

"Whoo! Hunt, how awesome is this? Whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!" Teddy cheered.

Owen turned to Cristina and Grace who didn't look impressed. "She's been living in the desert for a long time," he told her.

****

Mark and Callie walked over to Bailey. "Hey, is your trauma patient stable for skin grafting? The one with the pancreatic duct rupture?" Mark asked.

Adele walked over and interrupted. "Miranda."

Bailey turned to her and smiled. "Oh, Adele. Oh, I'm so sorry. I sent the chief into surgery. Do you want me to?"

"What I want is for you to tell me the truth. I saw the way you handled him just now," Adele said as she looked to Bailey.

Bailey's eyes widened. "I did not handle him. I j ... There was no handle ... we work together."

"You spend every waking moment together. You finish each other's sentences. You read each other's minds. You're more married to that man than I am."

Callie stepped forward and smiled. "Yeah, but that's just because they're husband and work-wife," she said.

"Excuse me?"

"The chief's your work-husband, and you're his work-wife. You look out for each other. You take care of each other. There's nothing wrong with it. It's like me and Sloan," Callie told them.

"Excuse me?"

Callie shook her head at Mark. "Nobody's talking to you. He's my work-husband, but he has a fiancee, and I have a girlfriend, but there's nothing going on between us," she said.

Mark shrugged and smiled. "I mean, there was at one point," he said.

Callie rolled her eyes. "You're not helping."

"Neither one of you are helping. Adele, I promise you, there is nothing going on," Bailey said.

Adele nodded. She knew there was something going on with her husband. "Something is going on, because he hasn't been in his bed all week."

"What? Really?"

"The last time he acted like this ... disappearing, sleeping at the hospital every night ... He was with Ellis Grey. He may not be having an affair with you."

****

Bella walked over to Bailey. She smiled. "Dr. Bailey, have you seen the chief?" She asked.

Bailey shook her head. "No. Unh-unh. You don't need to be seeing the chief, either one of you," she told her.

Bella nodded. She sighed. "Okay, but there's something wrong with his emergency chole patient."

"Okay... so you tell me, and I'll tell the chief. What's wrong with him?" Bailey asked.

"He's yellow."

****

Bella, Bailey and Reed were examining the patient. "Oh. This is the yellowest man that I have ever seen," Bailey commented.

Reed nodded. "Right? He's, like, lemon yellow. Like mustard yellow."

"Hey, hey, we get it. He's yellow. I'm trying to find out why," Bailey told the short haired girl.

Bella looked to Bailey. "Ultrasound shows ... dilated ducts. Which means obstructive jaundice, but the chief only took out the gallbladder. And we never saw any signs of liver disease or cancers, but ... could that mean ... that the chief accidentally clipped the common bile duct?" She asked.

"Oh, my God."

Bailey shook her head. "Okay, okay, stop ... Right now, both of you. Now did you actually see the chief clip the common bile duct?" She said.

Bella shook her head. "No, of course not. But-."

Bailey glared to her. "But nothing. That's one of the most serious mistakes a general surgeon can make, so let's not make this accusation lightly."

"It wasn't an accusation," Bella told her as she looked to the resident.

Bailey glared to Bella and Reed. "Uh, stop talking. Just get an E.R.P. To find the exact cause of this man's discoloration. And, doctors, if I find out that either of you has said a word about this to anyone, I will make sure that you are the ones who require emergency surgery," she told them both.

****

Bella and Grace were sat with Mark, Arizona and Callie in the cafeteria. "You don't think it's Bailey?" Mark asked. He had told his girlfriend what had been happened.

Grace shook her head. "No. I don't see it. They don't have chemistry," she said.

Mark frowned. "Really? I kinda like them together. It's not Yang, is it?" He asked.

Arizona smiled to her sister. "Hi pretty girl. What are you guys talking about?" She questioned.

Mark smirked. "Oh, you haven't heard. The chief's having an..."

Bella shook her head. "Mark... stop."

"You are a terrible gossip," Callie told him as she sat down with them.

"I'm an excellent gossip."

Teddy and Owen walked over. Owen smiled. "Hey, mind if we join you?" He asked.

Callie shook her head and smiled. "No, have a seat," she said.

Mark turned look at Teddy. "Mnh-mnh. Not at all. How's your first day going? You ready to go back to Baghdad yet?" He asked.

"I'm actually really impressed ... the facility, the equipment, the caliber of the residents," Teddy said as she smiled. She looked over to Bella. "You're Isabella?"

"Bella."

Teddy nodded. She smiled. "I heard about you from your friend Grace."

"Have you met Cristina Yang yet?" Arizona asked as she looked to the new attending.

Teddy nodded. "Mm. Cristina Yang may in fact be the best resident I've ever seen."

Bella and Grace both shared a look. They felt offended at what Teddy had said.

"You think?"

Teddy nodded. She smiled. "Yeah, I do. I don't think she likes me, but yeah. I also think Abby doesn't like me either," she said.

Mark smirked sharing a look with Grace. "Ooh. She doesn't like you?" He asked.

Bella shook her head. "Mark."

Mark shrugged and smirked. "No, you're probably right. Just because Yang drove off the last three cardio attendings doesn't mean-."

"She did not."

"Burke?"

Owen shook his head. "Come on, that was-."

"Hahn?"

"She had nothing to do with Hahn leaving," Owen said. He saw how Grace didn't look impressed.

"Nope, that was me."

Mark smiled. "Dixon?"

"Dr Yang just needs a strong cardio attending, and she deserves a strong cardio attending," Owen told her.

Teddy smirked. "Cristina? Huh. Wow. So ... so you and Shepherd? What happened to you and Beth?" She asked.

Mark took delight in spilling the tea. "Oh, he didn't tell you? Beth showed up at the hospital one day. She didn't even know he was," he began. He felt someone kick him. He turned to Callie. "Ow! Did you just kick me?"

Grace smiled. "That was me."

Mark pouted. "Not nice Gracie. I all but saved your life," he said.

Grace shrugged and smiled. She took a bite of her salad and looked to him. "Well yeah. But you also kidnapped my best friend from me."

****

Bella was stood in the bedroom. She looked to Mark as he walked in. "You sure you wanna have a girls night? We could have an us night," he said.

Bella turned to him. She kissed him and wrapped her arms around his neck. "I miss Grace. So this is ladies night. We're going to sit in bed. Eat pizza and drink till our hearts content," she told him.

"Fine. I guess I'll have to make do with my hand for the night. I'll miss you," Mark said.

"I'm gone for one night. I'll be back tomorrow. And you can have your wicked way with me," Bella said as she kissed him and walked out.

****

Bella walked into the room with pizza. She smiled to Grace and joined her in the bed. "I've missed this. I think we need to do it more," she said.

Grace nodded. "At least once a week. You're happy aren't you?" She asked.

"I'm happy. And I think Mark and I are gonna get married soon. I just hope it works," Bella said.

But she had no idea how things between her and Mark were about to hit a hard time.
