John 10:7-10
"7. Therefore Jesus said again, 'I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 8. All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9. I am the gate, whoever enters through me will be saved. 10. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it yo the full."
When Jesus said these words, he wanted to say that we were the sheep, and that he was the shepherd. The sheep always recognizes the voice of his shepherd, but doesn't listen to the voice of a stranger.
Like us we, listen to the word of God with all our heart, and we listen to know more and more about him, even if we know almost everything, we love to repeat the word of God.
Some people may have experiences, they can sometimes speak with God, hear his voice, or maybe God can give that person a dream, so that we may interpret that dream, and see what God wanted to tell us.
So we recognize the word of God, but we will never recognize what someone may say opposite about it. We may hear, but we will know it isn't true.
God as marvelous plans for us, we are his sheep and he takes care of us, with love and compassion no matter what. Even if we doubt his plans, we shall always have faith and trust God, for everything happens according to his time.
