SOLEA

Solea's day was consumed by Zoom meetings, phone calls, and discussions related to new brands that were interested in her, Savage Fenty and remedybyari. Exhausted yet grateful after engaging with Rihanna's agent and Ari herself, she couldn't help but appreciate the opportunities unfolding before her.

After taking herself out for some ice cream she was back at her brothers house in the kitchen eating chili and cornbread she made for the house.

"So i was thinking we all have a lil movie night?" Nova speaks up to the two siblings.

Swallowing her cornbread "ooou yess ! I been wanting to watch a movie in the movie room yall got" raising both her eyebrows up and down.

"I'm down " Rashad responds placing his clean plate in the sink. "You did yo thing on that chili sis, I'm not gone hold you"

"Yess! Got me licking my bowl over here " nova laughs

"Aww thank youu! When i was away i was cooking for all my friends and just been getting better and better" smiling loving the feedback.

"No problem boo, ok so I'm thinking we do wine and movie night, invite some friends over, that's ok? " she looks over to Solea already knowing who one of the friends would be.

Last night Nova came to her room to catch up with Solea since she felt she hadn't seen her or talked to her in a while, even though they live in the same house at the moment— their just close like that.

She ended up telling Nova all about what happened with Sante' and the date that was coming tomorrow.

Nova listened intently as Solea shared the details of her upcoming date with Sante', the excitement radiating in the room. Their close bond only deepened as they caught up, and Nova couldn't help but feel thrilled for her friend, knowing that the unspoken feelings were finally finding their way into the open.

Solea, savoring the anticipation of the upcoming date, hesitated when Nova questioned if she would tell her brother. For now, she wanted to bask herself in the moment without complicating things. Uncertain about what the future held, she preferred not to jinx anything and simply let the evening unfold naturally.

Rashad grinned, excitement in his eyes. "Hell yea, I'm calling Sante' right now. Solea, cool with that?" Despite the past silence between Sante' and Solea, Rashad wanted to make sure Solea was okay with him being present.

"Yeah, that's fine! We had a talk after i saw him on my date last week, it felt like old times. I didn't know he owned Bungalow'" Solea responded, making sure to add that it felt like old times so it wouldn't be no suspicion tonight.

A smirk played on Rashad's lips. "Oh yeah, my boy's making big moves. Proud of him."

Nova, stunned by what they were saying, "He owns Bungalow? Hold up, they food be so good Why you didnt tell me, babe?" She turned from Solea to Rashad, seeking an explanation.

"My bad, baby. It just opened this year. I was gonna tell you so we could go for opening night, but we went out of town for our early anniversary," Rashad explained.

"Oh yeah," Nova responded, turning to Solea. "Girl, your brother took me to Greece for our anniversary. It was beautiful." She hugged Rashad, expressing her admiration.

Rashad's sweetness left her in awe. "Y'all make me sick. That's so sweet, Rashad. Where's my man for trips?" Solea questioned with a playful frown and asked with a slight smile.

"He somewhere," Nova began, but Rashad interrupted with a teasing smile. "Uh-uh, he ain't nowhere. You can't get a man till you're 30," he playfully declared.

The two women exchanged glances, sharing a laugh in response to Rashad's teasing. "Babe, now you're taking it too far," Nova chuckled, joined by Solea's laughter. "Yeah, I'm gonna need you to stop being Mr. Matchmaker older brother because 30? Yeah, no," Solea playfully chimed in, shaking her head.

"Alright, alright, Rashad, you go call Sante', and I'm gonna reach out to Amber and Laurie. Solea, you don't mind grabbing the wine up the street?" Nova suggested.

"No, boo, I got you," Solea replied with a smile.

With their tasks assigned, the three of them went their separate ways, each taking steps to prepare for the upcoming night.

Back from the store 30 minutes later, delayed by traffic, Solea pulled into the driveway, noting two cars already parked. Sante's was absent, and a hint of anxiety crept in. They had only exchanged texts that morning amid their busy schedules.

Solea was tempted to text him to confirm or deny his arrival, but opted against it. Picking up the Taylor Port and Casamigo for variety, she entered the house, drawn by the laughter coming from the movie room. Not wanting to be impolite, she decided to announce herself.

Entering the room with a warm smile, she was greeted by Nova, Laurie, and Amber, all in comfy attire. "Hey, ladies! I got the wine and a little drinky drink."

Excited hugs came from Amber and Laurie. "Omg hey boo! We haven't seen you since the wedding. How have you been, boo? You look amazing," Laurie complimented with enthusiasm.

"Thank you! So do yall. I've been good; actually, I went on a business trip to Spain for two years. It really helped advance my career," Solea shared.

"Girl that is a blessing! I love that for you. Since the wedding, I could tell you always go for what you want," Amber winked.

Across the room, Solea caught Nova's eyes, understanding the unspoken insinuation. Amber was referencing to the pep talk about expressing her feelings to Sante'.

"Uhh yeah, girl, you already know," Solea replied, attempting to shift the conversation.

Laurie, however, persisted with nosy curiosity. "So, what happened with you and Mr. Tall and Handsome?"

Nova, sensing the discomfort, stepped in. "Laurie, can you let Solea get situated and change clothes for the get-together? Damn girl, you're grilling her."

"Oops, my bad. I just wanted to know," Laurie said, slightly rolling her eyes.

"Yeah, let me go shower and change. I'll be down soon," Solea quickly excused herself, grateful for Nova's intervention, not eager to have everyone into her business.

Hopping into the shower all Solea could think about was Sante'. Was he coming? Would he be excited to see her? Was he ready for the date tomorrow? All these questions swirled through Solea's mind as she hopped into the shower, the anticipation of the evening playing on her thoughts.

After showering, she moisturized with her vanilla-scented baby oil and lotion, letting her hair stay down and curly from earlier. Choosing comfort, she dressed in some black pajama pants that hugged her bottom half snugly, paired with a black long-sleeve pajama shirt that gave the tight fit illusion but offered a comfortable and loose fit.

Walking downstairs to join the crew, Solea found everyone but Sante'. Concealing her slight disappointment with a smile, she asked Rashad, "Is Sante not coming?"

Solea could see Laurie intrigued by the mention of Sante', turning to Rashad to also hear his response, which unsettled Solea. She didn't like that she was curious about his whereabouts.

"Yeah, he's coming. Just had to take care of some stuff at the restaurant," Rashad's barritone voice confirmed.

Her heart raced, but Solea managed to maintain composure. With a simple "ok," she headed to sit at the top of the movie theater on the left side.

Solea cherished the home's built-in movie theater where you could lay down and relax, almost like being in your room. The whole aura exuded comfort, capturing the essence of the love for watching a movie in the cozy confines of a personal theater.

"Mmm, I wonder where he's gonna sit, well, lay at," Laurie mused.

"Girl, stop talking about that man, please. He's not checking for you, and you know this," Amber side-eyed her.

Unfazed by Laurie's slick comments, Solea could see her and Amber chose to sit together in the second row, right below where Solea had taken her spot. Deciding to focus on her phone and check her emails, seeking a distraction from the conversation about Sante'.

Laurie and Amber settled into the beds on the second row, preparing for the movie night. As they got comfortable, Rashad's phone rang, looking around the room knowing it was his, finding his phone he answered.

"Solea you'll go open the door for Sante'? He at the door " Rashad asked, too busy trying to find a movie that everybody would enjoy while nova was in the kitchen getting the snacks and drinks together.

Feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness, Solea shyly responded, "Yeah, sure." Passing the curious eyes of Laurie and Amber, who noticed her reaction on the phone, she left the theater room, making her way to the front to welcome Sante'.

Reaching the door, Solea released a heavy sigh to calm her nerves before opening it. Sante' stood there, looking good in grey sweats that showed his print and a plain white T-shirt that showcased his tattoos covered all over his neck and body, with his muscles bulging out. The scent of his cologne and a hint of weed lingered, indicating he might have smoked on the way.

As Sante' stood in the doorway, an undeniable attraction surged through Solea. His presence sparked warmth, and each glance felt like an invitation. The air buzzing with enticing energy, creating tension that heightened with each lingering gaze.

Solea couldn't help but notice that he got a fresh haircut today. She was so captivated by admiring him that she didn't realize he was doing the same.

"Dang, Solea, you gonna keep me out here in the cold?" His deep, husky voice snapped her out of the trance she was in, as he lift his hand up to rub under his shirt to rub his stomach area. Caught off guard she blushed, offering a small smile as she stepped back. "O-oh, I'm sorry. Let me let you in."

"It's okay,I know I look good," he smirked, eyeing her down. "You look beautiful too, as always, ma," his deep voice affirmed.

"Thank you, Sante'," she smiled, placing her hands on her cheeks, quickly removing them, irritated with herself for acting like a schoolgirl.

"Uh-uh, don't try and front now. I got yo ass blushing" he chuckled deeply, enjoying her reaction.

"Stop!" she whined, eyeing him. She couldn't help but keep staring at him because he looked so good, stirring something inside her.

"You're not gonna hug me?" he questioned deeply, one eyebrow lifted. "I gotta be one of them dudes now to ask for it," he playfully teased.

Laughing along, she replied, "No, Sante'." Stepping up to him, she walked into his warm arms, relishing the comforting feel of being held by his strong embrace.

SANTE'

As Sante' hugged Solea, feeling the warmth of her body sparked a sensation, intensifying his need to be close to her. Every second of the embrace felt filled with an alluring energy, a strong pull that made him want to stay in the comfort of her presence. In that hug, he couldn't ignore the strong connection—a mix of desire, and a clear longing to be near Solea.

Groaning softly, Sante' indulged in the pleasure of running his hands down Solea's sides as he traced the curve of her back. He appreciated the rare opportunity to hold her for an extended moment.

"Hey, girl, did you get lo—" The sudden interruption caused both of them to abruptly release each other, turning to face a woman with a brown complexion. Standing at a 5'10", with a model's physique, exuding confidence and allure.

Laurie's intense gaze, focused soley on Sante' threw him off a little, but he chose to dismiss it, maintaining his attention on Solea. With his hands still gently placed on her waist he greeted Laurie with a casual "wassup."

After hearing his deep voice her eyebrows shot up, "Hey, I'm Laurie. They wanted me to come get y'all; they're about to start the movie," she stated her gaze lingering on Sante'.

Sante' shot her a curious look, not entirely comfortable with being closely observed, especially when it wasn't coming from Solea. Nevertheless, with his hands still on Solea's waist, he responded with a nonchalant "Bet, we're coming."

"Alright, well again, I'm Laurie. I don't know if you remember me being a bridesmaid," she added, a friendly smile accompanying her gaze as she eyed him up and down.

"Nah, I don't remember, but it's nice meeting you," Sante' bluntly said, showing his lack of interest as he remained focused on Solea.

"Okay, cool. Well, let's get to the movie," Laurie said, breaking the slightly awkward moment. They began to follow her as she walked away, the duo trailing behind Laurie as they made their way to the movie room.

Hearing a soft giggle, Sante' looked down at Solea, catching her attempt to hide her laughter with her hands. With a playful smirk, he teasingly pinched at her sides.

"What's so funny, Ms. Solea, hmm?" he playfully asked, already anticipating her answer.

"You got yourself a little admirer," she whispered so only he could hear. "She ain't letting up," she side-eyed him while turning back to continue walking.

"She ain't who I got my eyes on, ma, so I don't even know what you're talking about," he mumbled, slightly aggressive, wanting Solea to understand his serious commitment to their connection.

Left with a silent response, he looked down to see her reaction only taking notice that her lips were folded—meaning she was in deep thought of what he said. Letting her process what he said he gave her waist one last rub as they approached the movie room entrance. Adjusting so that she walked in front of him, he held the door for both ladies.

"Damn, it's about time your ass showed up. Coming in late like you're dressed to impress—nigga, you look like me right now," Rashad started his playful banter as Sante' entered the movie room.

Sante' chuckled deeply, "Mmcht, I know your ass ain't talking. Looks like you've already started on the wine," he pointed out, gesturing to the wine stain on Rashad's shirt.

As the banter continued between the boys, Nova entered with a snack cart stocked for the night—sodas, snacks, wine, water, and Casamigos. She also prepared a spinach dip, just in case someone wanted another option.

"Alright, everyone, let's take a shot to kick this movie night off right," Nova announced, prompting everyone to gather at the bottom of the room for shots.

"What are we cheersing to?" Rashad questioned, raising his glass along with everyone else.

"To more life," Amber started off.
"To friendship," Laurie announced, her tone suggesting her eagerness to sit down.

Noticing the subtle tone, Sante' caught a knowing look exchanged between Nova and Solea.

"To a good time!" Nova chimed in, trying to revive the excitement.

"To happiness and a good life," Solea replied with a smile.

Turning to her, licking his lips, Sante' offered his cheers, "To love and good vibes," staring at the side of her face until she turned, connecting her eyes with his.

With both of them locked in a gaze, Sante' couldn't help but admire Solea's features. Her hair cascaded in soft curls, a natural beauty without makeup, dressed in pajamas and a simple smile. As they continued to gaze at each other, he could feel his heart beating faster, captivated by the simple yet enchanting sight of her.

"Mmmcht, your mushy ass," Rashad playfully interjected, breaking their moment. "Man, to more money, better opportunities, and more life," he declared, prompting laughter and cheers from everyone in the room.

As Sante downed the shot, he could already feel the burn of the Casamigos going down his throat, signaling the beginning of the festivities.

"Y'all got assigned seats in this bitch, or we sitting where we want?" Sante joked, aiming to the married couples.

"Boy, just sit your ass down!" Nova's voice echoed in the distance as he climbed up the stairs.

Settling into a spot in the very back on the left, he started to get comfortable and pulled out his phone. A soft feminine voice interrupted his moment.

"Umm, that's actually the spot I was gonna be at," he heard.

Looking up, Sante could see Solea smiling down at him with a knowing look, silently telling him to move.

"Oh, so y'all do got assigned seats in this bitch," he deeply laughed, looking over at Solea with his eyes low from the blunt he previously smoked and the liquor kicking in.

Licking his lips, he added, "You can lay with me, Solea, it ain't no problem. I'm not gonna bite."

"Mmcht, she really can go to the other side; there are more beds in here," someone remarked.

Hearing that slick remark, Sante' looked below him, seeing Laurie eyeing both of them.

"Aye, I don't know who you is, but you too deep into what the fuck we be talking bout. I'm trying to be respectful towards you so imma need you to turn around," he replied with a hushed sharp tone, not wanting Nova and Rashad to think there was a problem.

Sante' could already tell Laurie was going to be a problem by how much she inserted herself into everything involving Solea and him. Observing her smacking her lips with an eye roll, he felt relieved when she turned around, hoping for some space from her involvement.

"Like I said, come lay by me, ma. I'm not gonna bite," Sante' smoothly spoke to Solea.

With a small laugh, she replied, "Alright, let me go get our wine and some snacks."

After getting their snacks and beverages, Solea returned, making herself comfortable with a respectful space between them.

As the movie Split played, Sante' couldn't help but feel a way that Solea didn't want to be close, but he let it slide, considering they had just rekindled.

Throughout the movie, the two shared jokes, sipped their wine, took another shot or two,and enjoyed their snacks, slipping in hushed conversations about what they would have done if they were in the characters' situations.

In that moment, Sante' felt like it was just the two of them. He hadn't smiled this much since she left—her absence felt like a void in his happiness and peace. Every time he was around Solea, it was like finding something lost, a feeling that lingered when someone you love returns after leaving.

After the first hour of the movie, everyone seemed to have dozed off except for Solea and Sante'.

"You ready for our date tomorrow?" Sante' questioned, wanting to know if she anticipated their dinner as much as he did.

Turning on her side to get a better view of him, head propped up on her hand, she smiled. "Of course, I'm ready. I'm trying to see where you're gonna take me since you obviously have good taste, being a damn 5-star restaurant owner already, I'm still shocked and amazed" she spoke softly, admiring his business achievements.

Sante' smiled, looking over at her. Licking his lips, he loved when she showed happiness for someone's accomplishments, even when he simply asked if she was ready for him to spoil her. Her thoughtful comment had him turned on, and the sound of her voice alone had him shifting in his grey sweats.

"Solea, you just don't know, ma," he deeply chuckled.

Seeing her blush with a wide smile, trying to turn around from him, Sante' caught her mid-turn by the waist, bringing her back into his chest as he lay sideways.

"Why you always blush and turn around when I say something to you, hmm?" he gruffly mumbled, looking down at her while rubbing her sides. Sante' could rub Solea's skin all day if she let him; her skin was always soft, like the smooth texture of cocoa butter.

"You want me to be honest?" she asked, her back against his chest. He could feel her attempt to snuggle into him, but was reluctant.

Bringing her even closer, he sensed her breath hitch as she felt his presence. Not saying anything, he continued the conversation.

"I always want you to be honest with me," the low rumble of his voice emphasized. "You already know this."

Hearing her sigh and gently play with his fingers on her thigh, she confessed, "You make me nervous, that's all. It's like my comebacks and my thoughts shut down, and I'm just a smiling mess or some shit," she added with an annoyed sigh.

"Why do you sound annoyed by that?" he chuckled, cautious not to wake the others.

"Because," she whined. He knew it was because she wasn't getting her way, and he smiled down at her. "Ma, why you whining? I just want you to further explain," he laughed again, aware that the wine and shots had kicked in, and she was being a bit of a baby.

With a heavy sigh, she turned around in his arms. "I'm too drunk right now for this. Can we continue this on the date tomorrow, okay?" she asked, eyes closed, resting on his muscular arm.

With a chuckle, he agreed, and they watched the rest of the movie as she cuddled up with his arm. Once the movie was over, Sante' made sure she locked the door behind him when he left, not before leaving with a warm embrace from both of them.
