Hours later.
Nurses and doctors running across the hospital. Baby's crying. Elderly coughs and so on.
You and Niccolò are sitting there waiting for news. You feel desperate and shattered. You need to see Brando... meanwhile Niccolò has no expression. He sits there staring coldly at the space infront of him.
Thankfully a doctor comes to the two of you.
Niccolò sprints for his chair to the doctor. And you do to.
"How is he?" You ask hoping for something good.
"He's awake. We got rid of all the substances that were consumed." the doctor smiles.
Your eyes light up.
"Well can we see him?" Niccolò asks.
You look at him and then look back at the doctor. Both of you waiting for an answer.
"Yes. I'm sure Brando would love too see some of his family. Follow me" the doctor says as he walks to his room.
Your heart is pounding.
Niccolò seems nervous.
The doctor opens the door..
Your eyes meet.
You and Brando.
Your heart sinks.
It sounds ridiculous but you miss him.
You can't take the fact that you nearly lost him.
Your breath is heavy.
Meanwhile Niccolò stares at him with his eyes light up.
"Hey guys" Brando speaks up.
His voice tender.
Niccolò smiles softly as he goes and gives him a hug.
As they split. Brando lays his eyes back at you.
You give an awkward smile.
You don't know if you should hug him or not. Especially after everything.
Niccolò rolls his eyes.
"You can hug him. Okay. I'm over it." He chuckles
Did he just read my mind?
Your eyes widen. You let out a little chuckle as you walk over to Brando.
You hug him.
His arms wrapped around you, just feels so right.
He's like the warmth an every girl needs.
You hold him tighter.
You love him.
You care about him.
A lot.
You guys let go. Even though you want it to last forever.
"I'm so sorry." Niccolò speaks.
You both turn to him.
He slowly starts to break down.
"I'm an asshole. I really am. Brando. You didn't deserve this. You really didn't." Niccolò continues.
"Nic." Brando sighs.
"I'm sorry. I mean none of this wouldn't happen if me and Maria-"
You interrupt him.
"Can we not talk about it." You cringe.
"I mean you nearly died Brando." You say.
"Why would you do that to yourself" you say. Your heart aches playing that scene over.
"Cant you blame me? I'm abandoned by my parents. And my own best friend abandoned me. What else do you want me to do!?" He snaps.
"Hey Brando. Look I regret what I did. It's just you know how I am with my sister." Niccolò says.
"I'm sorry" Niccolò adds.
"I'm sorry too" Brando says.
"Me three." You add.
They both turn to you.
"What are you sorry for?" Niccolò asks.
"Everything." You say.
Niccolò and Brando look at each other and start to laugh.
You laugh as-well.
You all laughing like this reminds you of the nostalgic memories when you guys were kids and used to watch funny movies together.
"Hey Brando." Niccolò turns to Brando.
"Yes Nic." Brando says.
"Promise me you will never do this again." He says.
"Trust me. I promise this will never happen." Brando replies.
"I trust you" Niccolò gives him another hug.
