" You know that guy?" Mia enquired as she looks at Luca who is now hugging his buddies happily.
There he was, wearing a white t- shirt with Michael Jackson's drawing underneath the leather jacket. A bandana layed over his forehead, keeping his curly hair off his face.
For a brief moment, my eyes met his impenetrable black eyes. My stomach tied up in knots. He smiled broadly after recognition and waved his hand at me. At least that was what I thought.
"What the hell Camy!" Rafael's voice boomed from behind me. I averted my eyes from Luca and turned. Oh shit.
I met his angry face glaring down at me. "Rafa-" I tried to say but he shook his head in disbelief and walked away from me. Seriously.
" Aren't you gonna run after him?" Mia, who had been standing beside me all along said. That's when it dawned to me that Rafael is mad about Luca. I can't blame him. It's partly my fault. I should have gone to console him, instead, I just stood stupidly staring at Luca. I nodded my head and ran after Rafael, who was disappearing amongst the crowd.
" Rafael. Wait. I can't keep up. " I said as he continued walking fast towards where the cars were parked. " Fuck you Camila!" He boomed, once we were out of earshot and he faced me. I ignored his insult and walked closer to him but he moved away once again. " Don't come near me." He whispered, running his fingers through his hair frustratedly.
"Please don't do this Rafael. " I sighed.
" Do what Camila? I'm I not allowed to get angry when I see my girlfriend drooling over someone else. To make it worse, my opponent. The one I lost to!" He shouted, making me cringe a little. I could feel the pain and fuming anger radiating through his body.
" What? You thought I was drooling over him? I thought you know me better than anyone else." I said.
" Besides, you should be thanking him for he saved me from humiliation when you were not around to do it."
" Thank him? You are totally crazy right now Camila. Just because he stood up for you doesn't mean my feelings towards my opponents will ever change. Especially now that I know you've already had history with him. I don't want you near him Camy. I'm I clear?" He boomed.
" No I ain't gonna do that Rafael. Don't make your enemies mine too."
" Camila, why don't you get it? This is not healthy for us. What will the rest of the Razona think, seeing you smiling with someone who is not from our gang. Huh?"
"Is that all you are thinking about? People opinions? I thought you trusted me!" I shouted.
He ran his hands frustratedly through his hair once again and let out a tired sigh.
" I don't like fighting with you Camy. Please stop giving me reasons to." He said, placing a swift kiss on my forehead and walked back to the Razona.
Seriously! Reasons? Which reasons for God's sake!

As I was about to join the rest, a strong hand grabbed my arm and turned me around.
"Please Rafael. Not now!" I said helplessly before having a clear view of who it was.
" Someone's clearly in a bad mood." Luca beamed. Oh great.
"Sorry. I thought you were someone else." I sighed and looked down at my feet avoiding his eyes.
" Boyfriend trouble?" He asked, his brows slightly raised.
"What are you doing here?" I enquired, avoiding his other question.
"Racing! Am the new recruit of the Vipers" He said, like it was obvious. It was obvious silly!
I didn't realise he was still holding my arm until he let it go. Silence prevailed as I looked anywhere else expect for him. His presence was intoxicating. And he knew it. What the hell is wrong with you Camila. You have a boyfriend for fuck's sake.
" What about you? I did not expect you to be this kind of a girl." He said, pointing at the whole Razona.
" What kind of girl did you expect? One who stays home after work and does nothing but watch movies all night till daybreak?" Okayyyyyy, where did that come from.
" Shish! Sorry. I did not mean to say that. I mean, I'm here for my boyfriend." I said, silently asking myself where did I learn to speak out like that. Maybe I was just angry after Rafael's fight.
" Boyfriend?" He asked, slightly amused.
" Yeah. Rafael, your opponent." I said, and looked around to see if he was watching me. Luca followed my gaze until his eyes finally landed on me again. Okay, this is wrong. I kinda feel guilty for everything. I shouldn't be talking to Luca. It will just make Rafa angrier.
" That explains why you did not wave back at me but just walked away. I thought you were one rude girl but now I understand. But still you could have just said hi or wink at me." He said, a small smile playing on his lips.
"Wink? You gotta be kidding me." I chuckled.
"What's wrong with a wink?" He mused.
" A wink means a totally different thing, especially when sending it to the opposite gender." I replied.
" Then tell me genius, what does it mean?"
" That you are sending someone a secret message, saying that you are clearly attracted to them and that you would like something more with them. Especially sexually." I said. What the hell I'm I saying?
His face lit up with amusement and a mischievous grin formed on his perfect jawline.
" What if I'd want that with you?" He asked, getting closer. What? My heart thumped faster as he got close. He was about six five and I had to strain my neck and look up at him.
" Luca.....Please, I already have someone in -" I tried saying, almost chocking on my words as I leaned against one of the vehicles and Luca closing the gap between us.
"Pleasssseeeeeeee...." I pleaded.
He moved away and laughed heartly, " You should have seen yourself." He said.
Embarrassment flooded all over my face. I avoided his eyes and just stared down at my fingernails.
" Look Luca, I'd really love to stay and chit chat some more but I gotta go." I quickly said pointing at the Razona.
A frown formed on his face but he quickly wiped it out and replaced it with a fake smile. What was that?
" Have a lovely night Camila. Hoping I'll see you again at the next race." He winked and laughed as he disappeared behind the cars, his muscles flexing as he moves. The nerves!
" It was him, wasn't it? " A chirpy voice giggled beside me, startling me.
" Mia! Don't sneak up on me like that ever again." I warned her, opening up my eyes.
" Sorry friend." She cringed.
" Sooooo, was that him?"
" Was that who?"
" Dude! The guy from the restaurant. Does it ring a bell now?" She asked sarcastically.
" Yeah. He is the guy that helped me out at the restaurant. Luca."
" Yikes! I knew it. The way you looked at him unraveled it all. Seriously dude, his one to watch out for." She said, putting her arms over my shoulder.
" Where's Rafa?" I asked.
" He left. He seemed angry. He did not even talk to anyone but just got on his bike and left. You didn't fix things?"
I let out a tired sigh and said, " He said I was drooling over Luca and I should stop giving him reasons to fight with me." I said, a frown forming on my face.
" You know what you need? A drive to Starbucks." She grinned.
Damn! She's probably right.
