"Seungmin?" the voice spoke up softly.
Seungmin tried to press his palm harder over his mouth, breathing deep, not that it actually helped. He could feel Hyunjin shift.
"Kim Seungmin?'' The lights were switched on, and Hyunjin slowly tried to make Seungmin face him. A red, tear blotted Seungmin faced Hyunjin as he sat up.
"I'm sorry, so sorry." He said between his sobs and Hyunjin panicked. "No wait, why are you—?" "I'm sorry I behaved so rudely. Even you had a long day, I wasn't the only one. I have no right to shout at you like that. You cut your finger too."
Hyunjin hugged Seungmin, rubbing circles on his back, shushing him in the best way possible. "It's okay, Seungmin, I understand. Everything is fine."
Seungmin shook his head, Hyunjin's shoulder now wet from his tears.
"It's not okay, Hyunjin. I shouldn't act like that towards you. I'm really sorry. I'll never do that again."
"It really fine. Yes, I did get a little hurt, but now I'm completely fine. We just cleared it up right?" Hyunjin said in the most soothing voice. Seungmin wanted to sob more, and hug Hyunjin tight and never let go.
He should never, ever let this man go.
Hyunjin kissed his forehead, lightly. Oh, great. I love you even more now.
Hyunjin froze and his eyes widened and Seungmin also realised what he just spit out.

Fantastic, now he gave himself away.
Hyunjin huffed a laugh and smiled fondly, "What a pleasant surprise, I do too." Hyunjin pushed Seungmin a little to make him face him, and wiped the tears with the heel of his palm.
Seungmin held his hand. "Your injury." Hyunjin waved it dismissively, "I washed it with water, it's fine."
"No, it's not."
Seungmin jumped up and went towards the restroom, soon bringing back the aid kit. He quickly sanitised and disinfected it, carefully putting a bandage around the cut. He then, with very little thought, kissed the injury gently. "I just want to see if the lyrics actually work."
Hyunjin gave a light chuckle, "Yes, it is working. I can feel it heal already." Seungmin kept the kit back and washed his blotchy face.
He joined Hyunjin in the bed once again, now shuffling closer to him and Hyunjin hugged Seungmin, already carding his fingers through the soft brown hair.
After a few seconds, Hyunjin cleared his throat, "Were you serious when you said you love me, or was it just out of apologising words?" Hyunjin asked softly, voice a scale lower. Seungmin really liked this voice of his, it was soothing in a way, but it also riled up his heart and made his gut do a three-sixty degree flip.
His ears shaded red. "I was serious about my feelin– Ugh, this is embarrassing." Hyunjin snickered, fingertips teasing those same red ears.
The younger mustered up his courage, "What about you though?" Hyunjin blinked twice in surprise.
"Seungmin, if I never developed any affection for you, we wouldn't have been in this marriage at all."
It was the start of March, when spring had arrived, winter yet to go. Hyunjin has been waiting for his fifth blind date, the last one being a month ago.
The last four were insignificant ladies and a man who was heavily attracted to Hyunjin– his looks and family background. He remembers the half-lidded gaze, full of lust staring at him, all of them the same.
He just hopes that this one wasn't them. Actually, he didn't even hope at this point, all of them were the same.
The waitress asked him for his order and he politely shook his head, asking for water instead. It was then that Kim Seungmin had walked in through the door, and an elderly lady fell right in front of him.
Seungmin's quick reflexes and that damn polite smile had taken his breath away. He was handsome, cute and well, extremely attractive.
If he hadn't read about his bio with his extremely boring picture put up there, Hyunjin would have thought that he was a man out of a movie.
When he blinked next, Seungmin was already in front of him, apologising for being late.
Kim Seungmin was an amiable, hard-working man, a little towards the opposite end of the pole Hyunjin was standing on.
"Yeji, I think I have fallen in love, and I want to marry him." Hyunjin said, staring up at the ceiling.
Yeji looked up through the magazine, "But you're saying that just because he acted nice and not like the others."
Hyunjin sat up. "No! Well, yes, but no. He looks like someone I'm ready to spend my time with."
"So is Felix." Hyunjin clicked his tongue and crashed his back to the bed again. "Not like Lix. You don't get what I mean."
Yeji rolled her eyes, "Yes, I don't. And get off my bed." She kicked Hyunjin hard and threw him off.
He winced and then gasped making 'the audacity of this bitch' look, to which Yeji only replied by giving a rude finger. He crumpled himself back to his original position again, knees now close to his chest.
"He seemed disinterested. But he isn't against marriage. We won't be a couple who are in love. And I'll suffer if I fall for him more." Hyunjin mumbled to himself, audible to his sister though, and kept doing so till Yeji threw him out of her room.
"This may sound very dramatic, but I had already decided that I would be marrying a person who I can respect and love in the future." Hyunjin said, looking straight at Seungmin.
How can he say all this without batting an eye? But then again, he is confessing.
Seungmin was completely flushed red, still visible in the dim of the room.
"Oh, okay.", Was all that Seungmin answered, brain not supplying any replies.
"Yah, Kim Seungmin, after all I just said, you can only say that? Weren't you being bold just now by kissing away my pain?" Hyunjin pouted.
Oh god, his pout looks so stupid, but it is so cute at the same time.
Seungmin held the pouty lips between his index and thumb, and giggled, "Ducky." Hyunjin grunted and got his lips free from the fingers.
Seungmin also had absolutely no reason to look this cute.
Hyunjin when living with Seungmin, thought that the latter was cold and had no effort to show any form of affection or make himself feel like a person who'll hold those emotions. But now looking at him, cheeks squished over the pillow, eyes glistening and giggling.
Adorable.
He bent towards Seungmin to ruffle his hair with his nose.
After the giggles died down, Hyunjin made Seungmin properly face him. "Will you tell me what's wrong? Is the work piling on for you? Or did something happen?"
Seungmin sighed and rambled his heart out, voice cracking when he talked about Jisung, and also when he started blaming himself.
"I should have reacted faster, and I shouldn't have just made a decision like that." He huffed a laugh, "I completely lost all my senses. I'm an idiot."
"No, you're not." Hyunjin spoke up finally. He was scowling the whole time, listening attentively. "I'm kind of happy that you terminated the contract, though it was a lightning speed decision. Is Jisung and the other manager okay? Like seriously, okay?" he asked.
"Mrs. Kang did say she was fine, so did Jisung. But I'm sure they're not. They did support me for my decision though. I'm just— I don't know which companies will make a deal with us and accept our contract by Monday."
Hyunjin sighed, a small understanding look on his face and he scratched Seungmin's nape. "How about we sleep now and start tomorrow. You only told me to have a fresh start whenever things are not working out. Don't tell me Kim Seungmin, you're the type to forget their own words?"
Seungmin looked him dead in the eyes.
"Exactly, you're not. So, keep these worries for tomorrow now, okay? And don't forget that I'm here if you need any help, yeah?" Hyunjin soothed out his worried forehead and placed a kiss on the crown of his head again.
God damn, Seungmin loves his husband.
