You called the guys, handing out each dessert. They were all giddy except for Sunghoon. He was the last one and he just thanked you quietly.
Everyone else was pretty preoccupied so the two of you easily slipped off into your bedroom after eating your snacks. You sat on the bed, motioning for him to sit with you.
"So, what did you want to talk about?" You asked, playing dumb.
"Well.. about what happened when I bit you and all that." This was the first time you've seen him twiddle his thumbs like a little kid. Made you want to tease him so bad. "I'm really sorry for being so rude. I know you said it was ok but I just feel weird. I've really been thinking about things and I just wanted to make sure you knew I'm not always like that." He explained, looking down into his lap.
"Hoon, I promise I'm not upset about it or anything. I mean I wasn't expecting it but I'm not mad." You assured, resting a hand on his shoulder. He breathed out a loud sigh.
"Really? I thought you were mad and that's why you said you'd pin me down." He said, grabbing the nape of his neck.
Oh god. "That was a very bad and unwarranted attempt at teasing you. I just blurted it out but I thought it made you uncomfortable and that's why you were avoiding me." You spoke honestly.
"I mean it was... kinda. I don't know." He hesitated, making you furrow your brows.
"What do you mean by that?" You leaned over, making him blush a bit.
"It was kinda..." He trailed off once again.
"Spit it out, Hoonie." You weaponized the nickname, getting even closer to the man.
"It was hot. Anyways, I'm leaving." He tried to get up, but this time you held him back.
"Stop right there. What I'm hearing is, you think I'm hot?" You decided to tease him.
"Shut up. What you said was hot, ok? I'm really leaving." He tried to get up again but this time you stood up, pushing him back on the bed.
"Sorry, you already know I love payback. But seriously, I'll say it again if you want?" You asked, looking down at him. He tried to avoid your gaze but you pulled his chin, bringing him back to face you. "I can pin you down right now even." You gave him a devilish smile.
His eyes grew wide. "I-" was all that came out.
"Im just messing with you. Unless you actually want me to-" You were cut off by a hand covering your mouth.
"I'm good." He spoke, giving you an angry face.
You removed his hand, sitting back next to him. "That's too bad. You did say you owed me though and there is something I've been wondering about since I got here." You decided to throw that out. He slightly nodded, giving you a weary look.
This question had been at the back of your mind but finally you got an opportunity to ask so you took it. "How did you become a vampire?" As the words left your mouth you saw his expression grow into one of anger. "Sorry, you don't have to answer. I just thought I'd try." You back peddled, hoping to not have offended him.
"It's fine. It just the way it happened still pisses me off." He began. "I was just starting figure skating. At the time I was really bad so my family hired a trainer to teach me. She was practically my second mom, I was with her all the time. One day I tried a jump I wasn't ready for and landed backwards on my leg. I broke it in three places, ending any chance I had of going into competitions. A few days later I went to the ice rink on my crutches and cried until she found me. I didn't know it at the time but she was a vampire and she fed me her blood. Suddenly I was healing and able to start skating again. Just like that, I was thrown into the world of vampires. And my teacher? She went to prison for unlawfully turning someone. She risked everything and I couldn't even finish out my career as a skater." His eyes were beginning to well but his face stayed in that same angry expression.
"Oh sunghoon. I'm so sorry that happened to you." You opened your arms, silently asking to hug him. He leaned in, accepting your embrace.
"Hybe took me in but I still feel like I don't deserve anything I have." His words were muffled but they hit you deeply. You started to tear up yourself, holding him tight.
"I can promise you, that woman is and will always be proud of you. She wanted you to do what made you happy, I just know it. Don't beat yourself up. I'm saying this as your friend and as an engene, you have brought so much happiness into the world. Don't ever regret that."
The two of you wiped your tears as your words seemed to hit him. Just telling him wasn't going to fix everything but he needed to hear it from someone.
"Thank you." He mumbled, making you smile big.
"Now I feel like I owe you one." You joked, making him laugh a little. "Here, pet the cat. It always makes me feel better."
Said cat was sitting on his brand new cat tower. You pulled the tall man up, bringing him to it. He gently brushed his hand across Eggs soft fur.
"This is kinda nice." He admitted.
"See I told you." You gave him a pat on the back. He looked over, making eye contact with you. You just smiled brightly, hoping that would make him feel better.
"We should probably go out. I don't want them to know what we talked about though." He said, focusing back on the cat.
You suddenly came up with an excellent plan. "I just thought of something but you have to follow my lead."
After a few minutes you both returned to the group who were just finished with the movie.
"The lovebirds have returned." Heeseung announced, causing everyone to look in your direction.
"Shut up, we were just talking." The man next to you explained.
"Talking my ass. You guys were gone for like a long time." The youngest joined in.
"Yeah, we made out." You spoke bluntly. The horrified look you got from sunghoon made you want to laugh so hard but you held it in.
"I thought we weren't going to tell them?" He quickly played into your lie.
The shock on their faces was priceless. Even Heeseung looked like he was about to fall out of his seat.
"No fucking way." Jay let out.
"That's- that's just... crazy." Jake looked so lost.
Playing into the game, you traced your hand down Sunghoons arm. Finally interlacing your fingers with his. He was beet red which made your tease feel even better. You got everyone, even him.
You let go, turning to face the guys. "Just kidding." Sticking your tongue out after the words left your mouth.
"I'll never trust you again." Sunoo said, looking all sad.
"I feel like I should feel better but I don't." The youngest pouted cutely.
"I was just teasing. Why are you guys so butt hurt?" You started laughing.
"We already know I'll be the first to kiss you." Heeseung spoke, catching you by surprise.
"No way, it'll be me." Jake argued.
"You guys are forgetting she gets to decide if she even wants to kiss you." The leader said, slightly annoyed.
"Regardless there is no way Sunghoon is ever beating me." The oldest continued.
"I've already done more with her than you have." The man in question suddenly jumped in. They continued to argue back and forth while you just stood there all flustered.
Did they actually want to kiss you? The thought crossed your mind but only in theory. This must be something straight out of wattpad because what the hell is going on.
As you were in your thoughts, you were suddenly brought back out when you heard the familiar words.
"Play or lose. Rock, paper, scissors. Shoot!"
After all the ruckus the winner turned out to be Jungwon and you could only guess what exactly he won.
"What the fuck?" You asked, turning their attention to you. You were now sitting on the ground, with your arms crossed. "Someone tell me what that was about." You demanded this time.
"Well..." The leader started, looking guilty as hell.
"It's fine Won, I'll tell her." Jay stated, patting his younger member on the shoulder. "He gets to kiss you first, if the time comes. Scouts honor, no one else can do it before him." He looked at everyone besides you.
"But- don't I get to decide that? You guys are so childish." You rolled your eyes at the 'men' before you.
"I mean if we are going to go there, I can name at least 3 times you were just as childish." Jake piped up. You responded by sticking your tongue out at him. "Literally that right there."
You scoffed, "Whatever. Point is, I'll kiss whoever I want. Now Jungwon, get over here." You called the man who was avoiding eye contact like it was the plague. "Don't act all embarrassed when you participated in this."
He reluctantly got up, walking over to you. You reached out your hand for him to pull you up.
"I'm so sorry, I got caught up in the moment-" He began to explain but you shushed him.
"Wonie, out of everyone here I thought you were better than that. No excuses. I'll just have to follow through since you already bet on it." You left a moment of silence.
He just stared at you, furrowing his brows.
You grabbed him by the neck, pulling him close.
"What are you doing?" He whispered.
You got real close to his ear. "I'm kissing you. Is that ok?"
His eyes widened. Hesitating for a second before nodding his head.
"Good. Now close your eyes" We're the last words before you pressed your lips against his nose, only for a few seconds. Fortunately for you, Jungwon's body had blocked the entire view so no one actually saw the kiss.
When you pulled away, you whispered in his ear once again. "Don't say anything or I'll really be mad." He slowly turned around, revealing his tomato face.
"What the fuck did you just do?" Sunghoon was the first to ask.
"I kissed him. Was that not the game you were playing? Fuck around and find out." You shrugged, feeling satisfied your bluff worked.
"Oh I'm definitely going to fuck around now." The oldest smirked.
"I'd like to see you try." You quipped back.
"Is that a challenge?" He replied, raising a brow.
"Rock, paper, scissors can't help you now. Next time, at least include me jeez." You gave the boys an annoyed look. They gave you an apology but something else was brewing in them.
Although you were acting tough now, that was crazy. Being so close to Jungwon's lips almost made you explode. For a split second you thought about actually kissing him after he nodded so cutely but it wouldn't have been the right moment. And you just needed the guys to think you actually did it. Little did you know, that bluff would make them come after you even harder.
