"A dinner date this Wednesday? Sure, I guess but what is the special occasion?" Y/n asked over the phone.
"Nothing, I just wanted to ask my best friend out." Luka replied even though deep down in him, he's asking y/n out for another reason.
"It better not be a fast-food date, I've breaking out real bad because of heaty food." Y/n complained.
"Calm down, we're not going for fast food, you'll know on Wednesday." Luka calmly replied.
"I trust you Luka, what do I wear?" Y/n asked.
"Something fancy or casual would do." Luka replied.
"Fancy? Are we heading to a fancy expensive restaurant? Can you even afford a meal there?" Y/n asked.
"Y/n, you really need to calm down, like I said, you'll know on Wednesday." Luka calmly replied again. "Besides, I have to go now so bye." He continued as he hung up.
"Wait, I'm not- Ughh, bastard, you're so dead Luka Couffaine." Y/n raged as she threw her phone onto her bed.
"Woah, why are you so upset?" Marinette asked.
"It's Luka, he's taking me to a fancy restaurant this Wednesday and he might be paying for dinner and I can't let him go broke just for that one night." Y/n explained.
"Just let him pay for it, even if you feel bad, he's the one organizing the dinner." Marinette explained.
"Fine, I guess I'll just go for it." Y/n sighed.

The day of the dinner...
Y/n was in her room preparing for a special dinner with Luka which was also unexpected to her. As y/n was finishing up her light makeup, Marinette came into her room and commented, "Aww, my little sister is already preparing for her date with her man."
"Hey, it's not like Adrien won't take you out for a fancy dinner one day." Y/n rolled her eyes. Marinette say, "I get that he's rich but will his parents even like me? His father already has a hatred towards me for commenting on his bland pancakes last time I went to Adrien's house and I've never even met his mom before at all. The only thing he probably likes me for is my designs and other than that I'm just an ordinary baker girl."
"Adrien told me his mom is friendly towards everyone." said y/n.
"Yeah, but I really want to see her, just once." Marinette whined. "Adrien did show me some pictures and she's really pretty." She continued. When y/n was done primming herself, she grabbed her bag and went downstairs.
"Y/n, Luka is here already." Sabine called from downstairs.
"I'm coming." Y/n replied as she ran down the stairs. When she caught sight of Luka wearing a black buttoned up shirt with the sleeves folded at elbow length, she couldn't help but admire him in her own world. When she came back to her senses, y/n slipped on the second last step but held onto the railing at the side to position herself.
"You didn't see anything Luka." Y/n started.
"It's fine I didn't see anything." Luka smiled.
"Don't stay out for too long guys, there is still school tomorrow." Tom reminded.
"We'll be back before 10, rest assured." Luka reassured.
"Go enjoy yourselves." Sabine smiled as Luka and y/n left the house.
"Exactly where are we going?" Y/n asked. Luka didn't answer her question as both of them reached a car. Luka opened the door as he gestured to y/n to enter first. When y/n entered the car, she exclaimed, "Jagged Stone?"
"Hello lad, don't mind me. I'll be your chauffer for tonight." Jagged explained.
"What are you planning Luka Couffaine?" Y/n asked, glaring at Luka. Luka turned to smile sheepishly at y/n before replying, "Nothing."
"My son here isn't planning anything weird young lady, he just wants to take you to dinner." Jagged replied as the car drove off. After a 10-minute drive, the car pulled up at a bistro. Y/n looked out of the window and said, "Wait, I know this bistro, my aunt works here."
"Perfect place you picked son, go enjoy yourselves lads, I'll be back in an hour to pick you guys up." Jagged said as Luka and y/n got out of the car. As y/n and Luka entered the bistro, y/n was immediately greeted by her aunt who pulled her into a hug.
"Y/n, my dear, how have you been?" Y/n's aunt Kathy asked.
"I've been alright, what about you aunt Kathy?" Y/n asked.
"Been the same, table for two I assume?" Y/n's aunt asked.
"Actually, I made a reservation under the name Luka." Luka corrected.
"Ah yes, I remembered you called in a few days ago, this way you two." Y/n's aunt escorted the two to their table. As the two sat down, they glanced at the menu while y/n's aunt got both of them some water.
"I don't know whether to feel bad for you or not cause knowing this bistro, I know some of the food here are expensive as heck." Y/n started.
"It'll be alright, my dad gave me plenty of money for this." Luka reassured. After ordering what they wanted, the two patiently waited for their meals to come.
"How did you even know about this place?" Y/n asked.
"I was scrolling through Instagram one day and there was a post from this bistro that came up. It was advertising some dinner promotion so I went to the website to see what they had and the food looked good so I chose this place." Luka explained.
"I also realized something, why did you ask me out on the 9th specifically? Couldn't you at least have waited to the weekend to take me out for dinner?" Y/n questioned. Luka shrugged and tried to think of an excuse.
"I don't know, I'm busy this weekend so I had no choice to choose a weekday." Luka replied.
"But you could have done it next weekend instead." Y/n insisted.
"Can't, prelims are coming." Luka made an excuse. Y/n raised a brow and repeated, "Prelims? This early in the year?"
"Y-yeah." Luka sheepishly smiled. Y/n glared at Luka for a while but she didn't want to throw a fit in public so she dismissed the situation. As the food came, y/n Luka started digging in. Once they were done with dinner, Luka paid for the meal as they both left the restaurant and was greeted by Jagged Stone once again.
"How was your dinner you two?" Jagged asked.
"Delicious actually. Dad, could you take us to the beach now?" Luka asked as y/n gave him a questionable look.
"Why are we going there?" Y/n asked.
"To enjoy the wind at night." Luka replied. Y/n glanced at the time on her phone and agreed as the car drove off to the beach. Once the car pulled up at the beach, y/n and Luka got out of the car as Luka's father called him.
"If she doesn't feel the same for you son, it's alright. There are plenty of other lads you can find." Jagged advised.
"Thanks dad, see you later." Luka took his dad's advice as the car drove off, leaving y/n and Luka alone at the beach.
"This way." Luka started as y/n followed behind him. Y/n noticed some rose petals laid on the sand in the shape of a heart with some candles on the petals. In the middle of the heart was a mat and a guitar.
"What's this about?" Y/n asked, walking closer to the set up. Luka stepped into the heart formation as y/n did the same. He gestured y/n to sit on the mat as y/n sat down.
"So, are you going to tell me why did you bring me here?" Y/n asked.
"My dad always brought my sister and I here when we were young to enjoy the night sky and sing us songs." Luka explained. "That was before he and my mom got into an argument and he left for years." He continued. Y/n stared blankly at the sea and rested her chin on her knees, recalling how she and Marinette also came to the beach at night to watch the stars when they were kids.
"Why'd you have your guitar here also?" Y/n asked. Luka picked up his guitar and started strumming a melody which matched the ambience. He then strummed a tune which y/n instantly recognised.
"Wait, is that?" Y/n turned around as Luka started to sing.

When their duet, Luka put down his guitar and turned to face y/n. He got her attention by slowly grabbing both of her hands as y/n turned to face him.

"I just feel it's a little too early to tell everyone, maybe later on in the year when I feel more comfortable with telling everyone." Y/n explained. "Great actually, we had dinner at the bistro Aunt Kathy works at and then we took a stroll at the beach." Y/n replied.
"Sounds like you two had fun, why don't you take a quick wash-up and head to bed already, there is school tomorrow." Sabine insisted as y/n went back to her room to get ready for bed.

"Went to the bistro Aunt Kathy works at and took a stroll along the beach, I know, I heard everything." Marinette interrupted. "Well, you should get some sleep now, we have school tomorrow." She continued as she left y/n's bedroom. Y/n wiped off her makeup and washed up a little before jumping into bed to see what messages she missed.
