As I pull up to Beth's house,I could see a few other cars in her drive way. I parl my car I make sure I look OK in the mirror inside the car, and get out the car. I knock on the door, I could hear music inside the house, I was greeted with a very happy Beth at the door with a drink in her hand.
"Come in" she says gesturing me to come in "want a drink" she adds
"Ya go on" I say as she hands me a drink. I scan the room to see who's here so far, as I scan the room my eyes meet with someone else's. Katie's. She quickly looks away as if I never saw her just stare right at me. I can't help it but smirk. Shit what am I doing I don't like her. Atleast not right now.
A few hours pass, we all had a few drinks to much, viv being the most sensible one and only having 1 drink, while her girlfriend on the other hand had 1 drink to much. As I was talking to lia about random stuff and how I was feeling at arsenal, I caught someone out the corner of my eye. It was katie I tried to catch her eyes but the only thing I caught was her looking me up and down. She's checking me out. Shit, I can't fall for her, atleast not again. I manage to catch her eye, said I'd tease her. As our eyes meet I just smirk at her, she goes red. Lia could see what katie and I were doing and couldn't help but laugh at the fact i made katie so nervous, which no one on the team could do even if they tried.
A few more drinks and hours pass, it's around 11 o'clock now and I manage to catch Katie's eyes a few times now. I had mabye a bit to much drink now, but I was confident now, and I decided I'd walk up to katie when she's alone and do small talk mabye even to actually get her to have a proper conversation and a laugh with her.
I wait for my chance to approach katie as she is talking to Beth. Here's my chance. Beth's gone to viv and Katie's by the glass back door. I make my way over.
"Hey" I say
"Er...hi?" Katie replies
"How are you" I add to keep the conversation.
"Grand, ya" she says not asking how was I.
"That's good" I say as an awkward silence settles between us.
"So-" I say
"Look what do you want" katie interrupts me.
"Well mabye u actually wanted to be civil with you, something you should be doing instead of me doing this" I say not happy with Katie's behaviour
"Me? Why should I try be civil" she says with a slight laugh
"Well mabye your the person that made us loose contact with eachother in the first place, guess that funny to you" I say as I go to walk away.
Katie holds me back by grabbing me arm.
"What now" I say
"Look ok, that whatever I did when I was younger when we were going out or whatever we were, well what I did on that night was a mistake. I know" she says with a look of guilt on her face
"Well mabye you shouldve thought abou that before you actions spoke louder than you that night you told me" I say.
"Look ok I know I shouldve thought, because I didn't want to loose you back then and shit. Ya I fucked up, real bad I know you don't need to tell me twice" she just looks into my eyes.
Fuck. Shit. Why do I have butterflies. No. No. No. Not now.
"Look well I'm willing to be friends again and nothing more" I say just staring inot her eyes.
"Ya same" katie whispers while looking into my eyes and me looking into hers.
It's like we're lost in eachothers eyes, unable to stop looking at them. I take a step forward, so does katie. But we're interrupted by leah and Beth.
"Sorry guys tried to pull her away from you but she just wanted to come over" leah says talking about Beth.
"It's fine" it say and katie agrees. But I know that deep down I wanted to kiss katie
Beth eventually leaves me and katie, leah left aswell with Beth but also winked at me as she left knowing well whst me and katie were about to do before Beth came and that's the reason she tried pulling away Beth. Don't get me wrong I love Beth and all but she has thw worst timing for everything. Especially right before me and katie were probably about to kiss. Me and katie both agreed we'd get another drink or so, we walk down to the kitchen which was completely empty. Me and katie decided we'd drink in there as its quite and we can actually talk properly without being interrupted.
We eventually finished our drinks.
"Do you want a shot?" Katie asks
"Ya go on" I say back
Katie pours us our shots and we drink them. We talk more and drink more, to the point where we are slurring our words. I couldn't help but keep eye contact with her, he deep blue eyes staring right in mine. I couldn't help but get lost in her eyes.
Katie's pov
At this stage me and y/n are slurring our words. I couldn't help but look deep into her eyes, her eyes are brighter than the sea, her eyes make the stars look like they're not shining. Fuck. Why did I go off and kiss ruesha that night. When I could be kissing her right now. Fuck. I fucked up big time that night. I want to kiss y/n so bad right now. Will I kiss her. Should I kiss her. Will she kiss back. Would I fuck up again. Ah fuck it...
