Arthur's POV
i got home around 3 PM, and all i could do for the rest of the time was think about her
While i was taking a shower- i thought about our kiss
While i was putting on my clothes- i thought about her smile
While i was brushing my hair- i thought about her beautiful eyes
Everything about her was making me smile and i was so helpless
But it was a good kind of helpless, i genuinely love her
I'm so glad i can go to dinner with her because i think tonight's finally when I'm going to tell her
I know i told her i would wait, but I can't
Every minute that i spend without her, my fingers itch her for touch, my lips for her lips
I just want to hold her in my arms and never let her go and tonight- i will make sure i do it
As i put on my watch, i looked myself one more time in the mirror
Suddenly, my phone screen lit up and her name appeared on the screen
I quickly picked up my phone to open the text
"Everything went well, can't wait to see you ;)" i read with a wide smile
I clasped the phone in my hand, looked myself one last time in the mirror and then headed outside
I walked through the security and alarmed everyone on their positions, and then made my way to my car
I entered the gps location on the screen and then i was off
I have a really good feeling about this
Melissa's POV
As soon as Lyra left, i walked back inside the house with a wide smile
As soon as i took a step towards the stairs, my vision was met with Jacob's
"Oh" i collided into his stiff chest, and he held me
His touch gave me shivers- it was rough and cold
I immediately backed away, panic setting in my eyes
"Whats wrong?" I asked him and he scoffed
"Why were you meeting her?" He said gesturing to the door
My blood went cold and my face pale
"What do you mean?" I said trying to play dumb
"Don't play with me Melissa" he said coldly and my back hair stood up
"why do you care? She's a friend" i said mustering up the courage
I didn't do anything illegal did i?
"You call her a friend? She's your father's worst nightmare" he scoffed, his voice getting louder
"Do you know what she has done? How she has-"
"Yes i know, don't worry" i cut him off, anger burning through me
"Oh, so she painted you with lies too? You're speaking her words now?" Jacob said angrily and i clenched my fingers
"What is your problem? Why do you hate her so much when she hasn't even done anything to you?" I said angrily and Jacob got quiet for a second
"Its not about me, its how she is after your own father" he said clenching his jaw
"If it isn't about you then stay away from it" i said turning around
"You're against your own father now?" He said behind me and i ignored him, taking a step away
"Fucking answer me" he roughly held my arm and turned me around
"Ouch" i let out a small sigh
"What are you doing?" I said pushing him away from me a little
"Whats wrong with you Melissa?" He said
"Whats wrong with me? Whats wrong with you Jacob, why are you being so rude?" I said, tears welling up in my eyes
"She has done so bad to your dad and you continue to defend-"
"She's not the one that started it" i cut through him, soothing my bruise at the same time
"what do you mean?" He asked confused and i scoffed
"Oh so you're the one painted with lies?" I said
"She's not after dad for fun, dad something horrible to her first" i said
"What-?" He said confused
"Dad killed Lyra's father and she's back for revenge"
