After about 2 weeks I finally got over my sickness, WooHoo!
I had to thank Chase because he helped me the whole time. But I somehow made him sick. He didn't mind it but I felt really bad.
"Are you sure you're okay?." I tan my fingers through his hair softly. "I'm okay." He sniffled. His nose has been running all day.
"I feel really bad, I'm sorry." I winced. "Don't apologize. I don't care, Darling." He looked at me with a slight smile on his face.
I smiled back. He looked like a little puppy. His nose was the tiniest bit red, and his eyes were glossy.
"Come here." He tugs me closer to him. "GUY- oh gosh you guys caught the bug to." Levi bursts into the room.
"Taylor, Alex, Jayden and I have the bug as well." He frowned. My eyes widen at how many people were sick right now.
I can't help but think this was my fault. "I'm sorry guys."
"Don't apologize." Chase said firmly. "I made you all sick." I sigh. "But hey, at least I don't have to go to school." Levi shrugged.
I laugh at him.
"That's true, I guess." I shrugged with him.
"Well let's have a slumber party!" Levi exclaimed leaving the room, I assume to get the others. He comes back in with Taylor, Jayden, and Alex following behind him.
"Oh my baby." Taylor lays down on top of me. I caress her hair. "Okay give me my girlfriend back." Levi pouted.
"I think I'll stay with Dani." Taylor sniffled. "Wowww. Okay. How about I take your boyfriend then." He lays next to a very unhappy looking Chase.
"Get the fuck away from me." Chase grumbled. Taylor laughs and gets up to go lay with him. "Oh my poor baby." She said sarcastically.
I look over at Alex and Jayden who are now both passed out. Jayden was on my mini couch in the corner of my room, his mouth wide open, and one leg hanging off the couch.
Alex is sprawled out on the floor.
Chase tugs me closer to him, wrapping me up I'm his arms. "Wow okay Chase. You allow Dani to lay with you but I can't." Levi crossed his arms over his chest.
I giggle at him.
"Damn right, Levi." He mumbled into my neck. He scoffed playfully. Chase's phone started to ring.
"Can you answer it for me please."
I grab him phone off the side table. "It's an unknown number."
"Hello?" I accepted the call. "Is this Chase speaking?" A low voice said into the phone. "No, Chase is currently sick."
"Hand him the phone. I don't care if he's sick." I sigh and give Chase the phone. He doesn't move his position from my neck.
"Yes?"
After a short minute he groans. "Okay, okay, I'll be there."
"I have to go to work." He slowly sits up. "Chase that is absolute bull shit. You are sick." I told him. "I know. They don't care. I'll be home later, okay?" He kissed my forehead quickly letting Levi know, before he made his way to wake up Alex and Jayden.
Jayden jumps awake falling off the couch and onto Alex. "Ow you fat bitch." Alex groaned. "I'm not fat." He pouted.
Their voices faded as they left the room. "Guess it's just us now, princess." Taylor mocked in a deep voice.
I chuckle.
She lays on top of me sprawled out. "I miss hanging out with you Dani." She pouted. "I miss hanging out with you too."
"Okay then. Let's have a catch up sesh tomorrow. We can catch up on everything at... Starbucks." She grinned.
"Of course." I chuckled.
She moves to the corner of the room to check her phone which was currently charging.
We sit in silence for awhile before a loud bang came from downstairs. "I think the boys are hom- I didn't finish my sentence as 2 random guys burst into the room.
"Which one." One guy says to the other. "The brunette."
He comes towards me as I stumble backwards. He suddenly grabs a gun from his waist. "Please don't shoot." I beg.
Taylor's eyes widen as she tries to stop the man. The other guy holds her back. "Please. I can do whatever I don't want to die yet." I begged more.
Before I know it, the gun goes off, and the world... is black.
*** Chase's pov ***
my phone rings as I get a call from Taylor. Why the fuck is she calling me? I accept the call. "Yes, Taylor."
"Some guys broke in and shot Dani. Please come home quick." I heard her trembling voice. "Stop fucking joking." I stand up.
"I'm not! Please come quick."
I hung up.
"Someone just shot Dani." I told the others as they all rush up. I don't wait for anyone to close the doors or put on seatbelts, I rush out of there
Luckily it's just a 15 minute drive but I made it 5 minutes due to speeding. I run inside and upstairs to her room.
"I called the ambulance they should be here any minute." And on cue the sirens are heard. "Dani. Fuck. Princess stay with me." I take her on my lap.
"Please don't leave me yet." I felt my eyes tearing up. I barley ever cried. "Dani! Fuck! Stay awake for me." I yelled.

It's been 2 weeks. Dani hasn't waken up, I've been in this hospital room. I haven't left her side since it happened.
All thanks to my dad, we are here. Dani was shot, and my life got worse.
I take her hand in mine and rub it with my thumb softly. "Wake up for me, princess. When you wake up we can go to Starbucks and order everything on the menu. Or we could talk about your favorite hallmark movies no matter how much I say I hate them. Just come back to me." I sniffled.

1 month, 1 week, and 3 days she still hasn't woken up. I went home occasionally to take showers and change, but I had Dylan and Levi watch after her.
Other than that, I haven't really left her side. My ass was starting to go numb for sitting this long. But it was alright. I would sit here for years, if it meant waiting for her.
She started to stir a little. "Dani?" I said surprised. "Chase?" She said quietly. "You're awake." I almost started crying of joy.
"Indeed I am. You can never get rid of me, Hartz." She winked. I lightly chuckled at her. "I hope not." She scoots over on her bed and pats the side next to her.
I sit down next to her. "I missed you so fucking much." I mumbled. "Did you figure out who it was who did it?" She asked.
"Yes. They are being taken care of right now." I smile at her softly. "I'm so glad you're awake right now." I said again.
"I'm glad you're here with me." She smiled. "Fuck Dani. I love you so fucking much." I blurted out. She stared at me with this look I couldn't explain.
"You don't have to say an-"I love you to." She interrupted. I smile, smashing my lips onto hers. She kisses me back passionately.
I'm so glad she's awake right now.
