"You're so precious," Keefe laughed as Sophie emerged from their closet.
Since he was taking her on a date in mid-October, he'd reminded her to dress warm. And she'd certainly understood the assignment.
Sophie was practically drowning in clothing. From what he could tell, she was wearing a shirt topped by a knit sweater and accessorized with both of their jackets.
"Are you wearing four layers?" he asked.
"Five," Sophie admitted, blushing. "I'm wearing thermal underwear too."
Keefe laughed, nuzzling her neck. "Did I mention that you're adorable?"
Sophie shoved her husband in the shoulder. "Can we go?"
"Not before you get a hat. Or maybe two." Grinning, he grasped her waist and pulled her close. "Or five?"
"Shut up."
He kissed her, hard. "Gladly."
