rocco slowly opened the driver's side's door, careful not to wake luna up. his figure tensed and he glanced at luna when she winced and moved, turning to him.
rocco's body relaxed when he saw that she was still sleeping and that he didn't wake her up. his expression softened when he saw how luna smacked her lips, mumbling soft incoherent words.
and maybe luna will never know.
at how rocco watched her peacefully sleeping for a few minutes. or probably more.
and maybe she will never know.
at that moment. there and then, he realized.
that she keeps him sane.
sane from all his chaos. sane from everything keeping him stuck.
and he stayed like that for a few more minutes.
and maybe a few more, resting his hands behind his head that was leaning on his car seat. watched at how she adorably pouts in sleep. he unconsciously reached out his hand to ease the deep crease on her forehead and slightly brushed her exposed cheek.
he was sane again for those brief minutes, looking at her.
until his chaos came.
and he had to snap out of the trance that is the girl infront of her.
and maybe the only thing she will ever know.
is that he will always be after her.
no one but her.
because as she opened her eyes from the deep sleep, she heard rocco's concerned voice talking to the other side of the line.
"i'll go to you, okay? wait for me."
and she immediately knew who it was.
