Blue: She has done an amazing job
Undyne: Of course she has! It's Alphys! Now go and fight that robot! I don't like how he looks at you! Calling you his Love? The nerve of that washing machine!
Blue: I think he was only getting into character
Papyrus: Yes, he was doing a really good job!
Frisk: A bit too much of a job, he didn't need to sell it completely!
Blue: It's fine now, we are close to MTT resort.....I think
Undyne: Oh that's a nice place to stay at, be careful of some weirdos that lurk around there
Blue: We will
Frisk ends the call and sits beside me, we have our ice cream and enjoy our break, but eventually, we had to get up and continue moving forward. We pass by some residential homes before arriving at the MTT Resort, it was basically a hotel plus other entertainments sources.
And outside the Hotel, was Sans.
Blue: Sans?
Sans: Hey, I heard you two were heading towards the Core
Frisk: We are, almost done now
Sans: I see....and have you told him everything?
Frisk: W-What?
Blue: She was meant to tell me something?
Sans: Oh yeah, a lot of things....but I imagine she didn't
Chara: Well then, it looks like Sans will take action
Frisk: Sans, this isn't the right time
Sans: You're right, it should've been before, which is why I'll do the talking. Blue, come with me, we are going to get some dinner.
Blue: Oh, okay
Frisk: W-What about me?
Sans: You can wait here or in the lobby, you're not involved in this conversation anymore. Now follow me Blue, I know this cool restaurant with some nice food
Blue: Okay.....
Sans takes me to the side and we go through one of his shortcuts, we end up at a restaurant and find a table with two chairs to sit on. Sans orders us spaghetti and while we wait for it, we start to talk.
Sans: So, your journey is almost over, huh?
Blue: It is, I'm glad I could be apart of it
Sans: That's nice and all, but.....don't you want to know more about the journey than be apart of it?
Blue: You mentioned something similar before, how I'm just a pawn in a game. I was intrigued, but I trusted Frisk in telling me what's going on, she said she was going to tell me at some point
Sans: And she didn't.......Blue, do you know why Frisk has been acting weird?
Blue: No, I tried to ignore it but my curiosity has gotten the better of me
Sans: And that's fine, so I'll tell you.......Frisk has been here before.......multiple times
Blue: What? How?
Sans: She is able to reset the timeline
Reset.......the timeline?
Blue: But that's.......impossible, resetting the timeline, how can she do that? What powers can even perform such a feat?
Sans: Not really, Frisk has a lot of Determination, which lets her SAVE and LOAD.
Blue: Save and Load? But those are terms used in games
Sans: Exactly, this is all like a game to her, she has so much Determination to the point where she can bend reality with it, to the point where she can reset the timeline. She doesn't give up and will never give up.
Blue: That's.....powerful
Sans: Yeah.....no one remembers the past events except for me and Flowey
This....this can't be true, Frisk has this broken ability and had visited the Underground on many occasions. That is why she is familiar with her surroundings.....she didn't tell me.....and I'm not sure she was going to tell me later down the line.
Blue: Who else can do this?
Sans: You met Flowey right?
Blue: Yes, earlier on our adventure
Sans: Well he used to have this power, but his Determination was overpowered by Frisk's. As you know, the ability to save and load stems from Determination, which means the will to keep living, the resolve to change fate. Humans also naturally possess Determination, which is how her souls persists after death.
Blue: This is.....I don't know how to speak about any of this
Sans: You don't need to because there is more
Blue: More? There is more than do this?
Sans: Yeah, we aren't done yet, let me tell you about the routes. There are three of them which have been dubbed the "Pacifist," "Neutral" and "Genocide" routes. Pacifist is where she spares everyone and frees us all, we live on the surface and everyone is happy
Blue: I like that ending, I would go for that and never reset
Sans: And that's what I want for everyone, but like I said before....
Blue: She has done this multiple times
Sans: Yeah, her first run was the neutral run. If she kills some monsters, then only she escapes, and we are left here in the Underground, but it isn't too bad.
Blue: Doesn't she feel bad? About leaving you all here?
Sans: To be honest, I don't know what her thoughts are on this, but let's move on. There is also a True Pacifist Ending that was impossible to do in the first run. She had to do the neutral run or genocide run, reset and then go full pacifist....that is the best one
Blue: I see.....what about Genocide?
Sans:.....I think you know what happens with Genocide....because that's when I'm the last one left, alongside Asgore. I challenge her and try to get her to reset....sometimes I lose my life, while Frisk can keep coming back.
Blue: Genocide......how many times has Frisk done this?
Sans:......Many times, the last one was a genocide one but they couldn't complete it
Blue: They?
Sans: Oops, guess I let that slip, oh well, guess I'll tell you. Frisk isn't alone and I'm not talking about you, there is someone in her head and soul that goes by the name of Chara.
Blue: Chara?
Sans: Yeah, she was the first human to fall into the Underground a long time ago. She went to Mt. Ebott one day and tripped over a root, falling into the Ruins. The son of Asgore and Toriel, Asriel Dreemurr, found Chara and helped her up.
Blue: Wait, Toriel and Asgore were together?
Sans: Yep, gonna assume you didn't know yet
Blue: No.....
Sans: Well now you do, Asriel took Chara to his parents and she was taken in by them as a second child. She was treated with respect, equal to their biological son. Chara and Asriel became not only siblings, but also best friends, and monsters spoke of how Chara filled the Underground with hope.
Blue: I see, so it wasn't hate at all from the beginning, there was love and care
Sans: Yeah but happy endings aren't permanent nowadays. One day, after becoming terminally ill from consuming buttercups, Chara expressed the desire to see the Golden Flowers found in her home village. After her death, Chara's SOUL was absorbed by Asriel, and they shared control over his body.
Blue: She died?
Sans: And then she took control, Chara carried her own corpse across the barrier and wanted to use her full power to destroy the humans that were attacking her and Asriel.
Blue: I'm not surprised, Humans like to commit conflict, and I'm assuming they died, right?
Sans: No, because Asriel resisted Chara, which ultimately led to the humans killing the fusion of the two SOULs.
Blue: That is tragic......
Sans: You're right about that. Chara's body was originally laid to rest in a coffin in the basement of the castle, where the bodies of the other fallen humans would later be put.
Blue: More humans that were killed after Chara?
Sans: Yeah, but then Toriel left Asgore because he wanted every human dead if they step foot in the underground. She carried Chara's body to the Ruins and gave her a proper burial.
Blue:......That is a lot to take in, this story of the first human
Sans: Yeah, but you deserve to know the truth. You've been left in the shadows for too long, but you still need to know why Chara is back
Blue: Before, I would say that it's impossible....but after all I have been through. I don't think it is.....
Sans: You're right, everytime Frisk falls down, it's on top of that flower patch, right?
Blue: Yes, what does that have to do it with all of this?
Sans: Well, it's Chara's grave, and as Frisk kills more and more monsters, Chara's evil spirit begins to manifest and reside in Frisk. Now she is there permanently, Chara is beyond the timelines now, she will always be there and that makes her a threat.
Blue: So how do we remove her from Frisk?
Sans: We can't, unless we have access to really powerful magic. But if we were to get it and seperate the two, we would still need to stop Chara
Blue: And how do we do that?
Sans:.....We kill her
Blue: But, do we really need to go through with that?
Sans: Blue, she is a Demon at heart, there is no other way. She won't stop and will never consider it, she wants to destroy humanity and no one on the surface will be able to stop her.
Blue: But-
Sans: Sorry Kid, I've tried.....when the time comes....you will have to do it
Blue: Me? Why not you?
Sans: Like I said, I tried, but she keeps coming back and all of our battles end up with me.....dead.
Blue: Because their determination brings them back.
Sans: Yeah, but you however, you're much stronger than me already. I guess it is because you're a human but there is something else about you that makes me believe that you will be able to do it
Blue: That's.....a lot of belief in me, but I don't want to kill, that is something I cannot do
Sans: I know, but at some points in life....you will have to do what it takes to survive, to save the world.....to save reality
Blue: If.....If it comes down to it, then I will....but I have to try my way of Mercy
Sans: Go ahead, I'm sure you will go and see the truth. But let's stop talking now, it looks like the food is here
A waiter had brought us our dinner and we ate in silence, I didn't eat as fast as I would because of what Sans had just told me an moment ago.
Timelines, Determination, Saving, Loading, Chara, Flowey, Endings, Genocide, Pacifist......
It was all too much for me.
And now I have to be the one to stop my best friend and the so called Demon inside of her? I can imagine the trials and tribulations that Sans had been through in trying to stop her, but it seems that he can't, which is why he chooses me to stop her.
But....can I really do it? Can I really stop this Chara?
When we were finished, Sans would tell me how he would practise knock-knock jokes on the door to the ruins. One day, he knocked on the door and heard a woman's voice, he tells me that this was Toriel and he would make these jokes to her.
She would laugh and Sans would keep doing it every day, he didn't know it was her until the True Pacifist Ending. But now that he has a conscious on what the timelines are about, he remembers her and gets worried if Frisk plans to kill her....knowing he can't do anything.
I just couldn't believe that my best friend, Frisk, would do such things.....
I don't even know how I would approach her about all of this, what will change? Our friendship might....but it depends on what Frisk says to me.
Sans: Then one day, I noticed that she didn't laugh as much, I asked her what was wrong and she tells me "If a human ever walks by here, could you please watch over them, and protect them".
Blue: I see, it's because she watches human children fall down here and go further into the Underground. She wants someone to watch over them if she cannot.
Sans: Exactly, now I'm usually bad at making promises, but I just couldn't say no to her
Blue: You were making jokes with each other, but I guess it was hard for you to follow through with that.....because of Frisk and Chara
Sans: Yeah, if Toriel didn't tell me that. Frisk....and maybe even you, would be dead where you stand.....
Blue:............
Sans:........
Blue:.......Where did your eye pupils go?
Sans: I don't know, they just disappear when I make this face. But did ya have to ruin my moment there with comedy?
Blue: I was just being curious
Sans: Heh, well I guess that's it, you should get a move on and find Frisk. Would love to see the new interactions but....I've got places to go
Blue: I see, take care of yourself Sans
Sans: Heh, I should be saying that to you kiddo
Sans leaves the restaurant and I stay seated for a moment before getting up and leaving as well. I was now in the main lobby of the MTT Resort and waiting for me on a bench was Frisk.
Frisk: Blue! Are you okay? Sans didn't hurt you right?
Blue: No, of course not....we just ate and talked
Frisk: About?
Blue:.......Nothing serious, he just mentioned how we are almost at the end, and he wished me luck
Chara: He is lying
Frisk: A-Are you sure that Sans didn't mention anything else?
Blue: Yes I am sure
Frisk: Blue, you can tell me anything
Blue: I know I can, but will you?
Frisk: Blue....w-what do you mean by that?
Blue: Nothing, nothing at all. Let's go to the Core now.....okay?
Frisk: Okay.....
Chara: Oh he knows~. He knows everything~
Frisk: W-What do I do?
Chara: Well we have many different options, but let's wait on him.
Frisk tells me that she knows where the Core is from here so I follow her, I know that she knows everything. After being told all of that by Sans, I was....confused, sceptical and wary.
Frisk has hidden all of this from me and didn't say anything about it, especially when I'm being thrown into the deep with all of this.
We were now inside of the Core, as the name suggests, it was tech all around us, this was the only way to get to Asgore and the barrier so we got some calls from Papyrus and Undyne, wishing us luck.
Alphys also tells us good luck but I know that someone will be trying to stop us, and that someone is Mettaton. The Elevator was right there but when I tried to use the panel, I didn't get a response from it
Blue: It doesn't work
Alphys: What? The elevator should be working, w-well then, go to the right and keep going up!
We listen to her instructions and go to the right passage, it was a small platform with darkness around us, up ahead were rows of flames. Apparently it was the wrong way so we go left instead, then we were attacked by these small wizards called Madjicks.
I let Frisk do her thing and once she had spared the little thing, we go to the next part of the Core. There was a blue laser that is preventing us from moving on so Alphys tells us to press the button but be ready.
Alphys: More lasers will come at you, two oranges and a blue
Blue: Okay
Frisk: Blue wait!
I press the button and move a bit, however, the order was the other way around as two blue lasers went through me, harming me. Luckily I moved during the orange one but I was still hurt while Frisk seemed to know what was going to happen.
Alphys: O-Oh my God! A-Are you okay?
Blue: I'm.....fine
Frisk: I was going to warn you
Blue: I could tell, but I was too quick to press it
Alphys: I-I'm so sorry, Blue!
Blue: It's fine Alphys, it didn't really hurt
We continue moving forward but Alphys kept making mistakes when giving directions or when she tries to hack into the system to deactivate the lasers. She was panicking and kept reassuring us that she has it all under control.
Blue: Alphys, it's fine, you don't need to panic
Alphys: I-I know, sorry....
Blue: Don't be sorry, be better
Alphys: I-I will
Frisk: Aww, look at you with the words of encouragement
Blue: I'm just being myself
Frisk: And I find it cute, you're a great friend
Blue: And....you're a friend
Frisk: O-Oh....okay
Chara: He is still conflicted, Frisk, be ready for the talk
Frisk: I will....I just wonder when he is going to question me about everything
We walk around the Core and entered an area of it that resembled a maze, Alphys wasn't sure on where we have to go next. She seemed stressed so I tell her to end the call and relax, reassuring her that we will be fine.
It was difficult to get around, especially when we were attacked by different monsters, but eventually, we found the door that will take us to the elevator.
We go inside and it was dark all around us, with some lighting......and up ahead was Mettaton.
Mettaton: Oh there you are, darlings. It's time for the final showdown, time to finally stop the "Malfunction Robot".
Blue: You can always just let us go past
Mettaton: Now why would I do that? I want to spend as much time as I can with you two, especially you....darling~
Blue: I think he is talking about you, Frisk
Frisk:....I'm not convinced
Mettaton: Oh, and back on the malfunction part, that isn't real. This was all just a big show! An act! Alphys has been playing you for fools the whole time!
Blue: I do not believe you, give me one good reason why I should?
Mettaton: Come on, darling! Think about it! She watched the both of you on the screen, growing attached to your adventure! She desperately wanted to be apart of it, so she decided to insert herself into your story.
Frisk: And your proof?
Mettaton: Well, she reactivated puzzles, disabled elevators. Even enlisted me to hurt you both! All so she could save you from dangers that didn't need to exist.
Chara: Well, there is your proof, but you already knew that, Frisk. Why are you even bothering to act as if he doesn't know when he clearly does.
Frisk: W-We don't know for sure!
Chara: Oh but we do.....
Mettaton: She wanted to be seen as a hero to you, and now it's time for her finest hour.
Blue: What do you have planned?
Mettaton: It's not me who has something planned, it's her. At this very moment, Alphys is waiting just outside the room, during our battle, she will interrupt us and then she will pretend to "deactivate" me, "saving" you for good
Blue: That can't be true
Mettaton: Oh but it is, darling! Just wait! She will be seen as the heroine of your adventure if you continue to keep your eyes from the truth! You'll regard her so highly, she'll easily convince you to stay!
Blue: She wouldn't do that
Frisk: Alphys has been nice to us!
Mettaton: Are you sure about that? How long have you known her? An hour or two? Sorry Darling but that isn't enough time to understand who Alphys is. But I've had enough of this predictable charade, I have no desire to harm humans, far from it, actually
Blue: So your only purpose and desire is to-
Mettaton: Is to entertain! After all, the audience deserves a good show, don't they? And what's a good show, without a plot twist?
Blue: Oh, I like plot twists
Mettaton: Something we can agree on!
Suddenly I heard the door behind us lock up, someone begins knocking on this door and we could hear Alphys on the other side of it. Then, red lights shine from above and Mettaton gets back into his entertainment role.
Alphys: H-Hey! What's going on in there? The door just locked itself!
Mettaton: Sorry folks! The old program's been cancelled! But we've got a finale that will drive you wild!
The floor begins to shake and then shoots up in the sky, it was now a platform for our final battle with Mettaton. Myself, Frisk and Mettaton were going up with it but only the robot entertainer was excited.
Mettaton: Real drama! Real action! Real bloodshed! On our new show! Attack of the Killer Robot! It was me who rearranged the Core! It was me who hired people to kill you, but you know what will be better?
Blue: To spare us?
Mettaton: To kill you!
Mettaton sends different projectiles at us and I use my Shield to block them, while Mettaton talks about his future plans.
Mettaton: If you get past me, Asgore will kill you and take your soul. He will cross the barrier and destroy humanity!
Blue: We won't let him
Mettaton: I can do the same! If I take one of your souls, or both of them, I can cross the barrier and become the biggest star on the surface! Millions of humans will watch me!
Frisk: B-But you're already a star in the Underground!
Mettaton: I know, but I need more numbers! I need to show the whole universe, who Mettaton is and how much of a star he is!
Mettaton sends more ranged attacks at us so I slash at them with my blade but block the bombs he throws. They packed a punch which knocked me back so I stuck to just jumping away, then Alphys rings us and had a message.
Alphys: U-Umm, I don't know what's going on in there but I have a way to beat Mettaton. It's still a work in progress but, do you know why Mettaton always faces forward? That's because there is a switch on his backside!
Blue: So we have to somehow get him to turn around, Frisk?
Frisk: I'll turn the switch but you have to distract him
Blue: Of course, but I think I have a better idea
Frisk: What's that?
Blue: Mettaton
Mettaton: Yes Darling?~
Blue: There is a mirror behind you
Frisk: Oh, he used the same tactic as me
Chara: It isn't that hard to get that fool to turn around
Mettaton: Oh? A mirror?! Right, I have to look perfect for our grand finale....hmm I don't see it, are you sure it is there, darling?
Blue: Of course [Flips Switch]
Mettaton: Did you. Just flip. My switch?
Blue: Would you be surprised if I said yes?
Mettaton turns around and starts to haywire, the panel on the front of his body was changing into multiple colours. Then we were flash banged by light, we cover our eyes but we weren't expecting for the next series of events.
???: OH YES~
When we could finally see, we couldn't see Mettaton. Then somehow, lights from above shone down in front of us and smoke was now present. Myself and Frisk were ready.....but I wasn't ready for....this.
Mettaton: Lights....Action!
Mettaton.....is a girl?
Blue:.....Is that you, Mettaton?
Mettaton: Of course it's me~
Blue:.....You're a girl?
Mettaton: The whole time darling~
Frisk: E-Even I didn't know that!
Chara: Did Frisk's friend coming with us....somehow change more than we thought? And why is her design based in a anime gir-? Oh right.....Alphys
Mettaton: If you flipped my switch, that means you were desperate for the premiere of my new, voluptuous body~
Blue:......I am confuzzled
Frisk: M-Me too
Even her voice is now feminine while before, it was more in between.

Not Blue, that's for sure, it was all me! I've been so active for a while now, I'm such a good assistant, aren't I?
Anyways, just came to tell you that the first act is almost done. But how will this all end?
Will it be Neutral?
Or will we get the pacifist ending that Blue would do his best to get?
