Undyne: Ah man, I really screwed this up, didn't I? I can't force you two to like me. Some people just don't get along with each other. I understand if you feel that way about me.......and if we can't be friends-
Blue: Undyne.....I had fun, I think we can be friends
Frisk: Yeah!
Undyne: R-Really?
Blue: You're not a bad person Undyne, I never hated you in the first place, I actually admired you with how the monsters look up at you as their hero.
Undyne: [Blushes] O-Oh....really? Well....that's okay, I don't mind not being friends with you
Blue: Why is that?
Undyne: Because....if we're not friends....IT MEANS I CAN DESTROY YOU BOTH WITHOUT REGRET!
Blue: Ah Crapbaskets
Undyne: Round 2 humans!
Chara: Yes! Now we can kill her!
Frisk: U-Undyne wait! We don't have to fight!
Undyne/Chara: Yes we do!
Undyne was ready for a fight and because of her fiery personality, she makes us do the first attack so I turn my right hand into its gauntlet form and ready a punch.
Undyne: Hit me!
Frisk: Blue No!
Chara: Blue Yes!
I throw the punch but stop just before her face and unclench my fist, I poke Undyne on her nose and she was left speechless. My hand goes back to normal and I walk back to Frisk, no change of expression on my face.
Blue: There, there is my attack
Undyne: [Blushes] W-What?
Frisk: Oh thank God
Chara: NOOOOO!
Blue: I'm not going to harm you, Undyne, there is no need for it
Undyne: So you're not going to hurt me? You know what? [Drops Spear] I don't want to hurt you as well
Blue: It is pointless to fight when we have already settled our differences
Undyne: You're right. You got a big heart, both of you, but you're still wimps!
Blue: Is that a compliment?
Undyne: I don't know! But that doesn't matter! Look, both of you and Asgore are fated to fight.....but knowing him, he probably doesn't want to. So talk to him, I'm sure you can persuade him to let you go home
Blue: Do you think he will?
Undyne: Probably, he is a softie as well, he might let it all slide
Frisk: But he might fight for the freedom of all monsters so we have to be prepared.
Undyne: I'm sure we can kill another brat that falls down here, one that deserves it
Blue: I don't think that's how it works-
Undyne: Enough chit chat! Let's get out of this flaming house!
We leave Undyne's burning house and get ready to leave, Undyne tells us that she will be with Papyrus so if we need anything from her, we can go to Snowdin. We start walking back to the Hotlands and on the way, I could see that Frisk was smiling at me.
Blue: Is something wrong, Frisk?
Frisk: No, nothing at all. It's just that I've been noticing you changing. You've been talking a lot recently, more that you have before.
Blue: I could see that, I think it's because the monsters of the Underground are interesting. They aren't actually bad, they've been nice to us mostly.....most of the humans on the surface.....they aren't kind people. You can see it in the children as well, the way they bully me and you
Frisk: Blue.....
Blue: But some are nice, like the caretakers at the Orphanage, who I talk to a lot. If you're a good person, I don't mind talking to you, I'll try my best to interact more
Frisk: I'm.....glad you fell here with me
Blue: You regretted it at one point?
Frisk: I did, I thought you were going to get hurt....or killed. But now I can see that you have been changing for the best down here, each interaction has been beneficial for you.
Blue: You're.....right, thank you Frisk
Frisk: No problem Blue, and not just that, you are strong for someone who had just discovered their magic for the first time.
Blue: It's just my survival instincts, I fight to live and protect myself
A few more minutes pass until we were back at Hotland, we had the option to either try and get past the two identical Royal Guards, or go to the Laboratory. We decided it was best to go there instead, we walked towards the door and it opens automatically.
When we were in, we could see that it was fairly big inside but it was also really dark. The only light source we had, was from a computer screen that showed.....us....we are being watched.
Blue: I don't like this
Frisk: Don't worry, I think we will be fine.
We continue to walk forward but stop when a small yellow.....dinosaur with a labcoat walks in?
???: Oh....my God. I didn't expect you to show up so soon! I haven't showered, I'm barely dressed, it's all messy! And-!
Blue: Have you been watching us?
???: Ummmm.....yes? Since you left the ruins.....b-but that doesn't matter right now I'm Dr Alphys, I'm Asgore's royal scientist! I'm not one of the bad guys!
Frisk: Hello Alphys!
Blue: Hello There
Alphys: You know, I was originally going to stop you but....watching someone on screen really makes you root for them, especially with how kind the two of you are
Blue: My aim is to not really hurt anybody
Alphys: G-Good! Because now, I-I uhh...want to help you!
Frisk: That will be helpful, you know your way around Hotland right?
Alphys: Y-Yes! I know a way right to Asgore's castle!
Blue: With no problem?
Alphys: U-Umm actually....there is a tiny issue. A long time ago, I made a robot named Mettaton. Originally, I built him to be an entertainment robot
Blue: Like a TV star?
Alphys: Y-Yes, like that. Anyway, recently I decided to make him more useful. You know, just some small practical adjustments.....l-like anti human combat features
Blue: Oh, how unfortunate
Frisk: Oh no!
Chara: Stop acting shocked, you know what's going to happen
Frisk: Yes but I can't have Blue find out, I'm going to have to act like myself during the first time I fell down in the Underground
Alphys: O-Of course, when I saw you coming, I immediately decided that I have to remove those features.
Blue: Oh, that's good
Alphys: Unfortunately, I may have a made a teensy mistake while doing so. Now he's an unstoppable killing machine with a thirst for human blood?
Blue:......How do you make a mistake like that?
Alphys: I-I don't know! H-Hopefully we won't see him
Suddenly we heard loud bangs echoing from somewhere in the lab, I was ready for anything while Frisk didn't seem to show a reaction.
Alphys: Oh no
???: OHHHH YES!
Suddenly the wall to our left bursted open and I had my right arm reeled back for combat, out comes a robot of some sorts with two arms and a wheel for a leg.....I'm going to assume this is Mettaton.
Mettaton: Welcome beauties to Today's Quiz Show!
Blue: Oh I like quizzes
Frisk: B-Blue not now!
Suddenly, disco balls come from above and confetti is shot out from somewhere, I could see that Mettaton now had a microphone in his hand. He really was an entertainer, this should make this encounter and future ones very interesting.
Mettaton: Well, be excited human number one! Because you're going to partake in this quiz alongside Human Number 2! Oh boy! I can already tell it's going to be a great show! Everyone give a big hand for our wonderful contestants!
Frisk: Blue....be ready just in case
Blue: I will, but let's see what this robot has in store
Mettaton: So, Mr Handsome and Miss Gorgeous, never played before?
Blue: I have
Frisk: Same here
Mettaton: I see! Well, you just have to know one rule, answer correctly......or you die!
Blue: Sounds fun
Frisk: No it does not!
Chara: Actually I'm with him, death is fun
Frisk: Oh I know you would agree.....Chara!
Chara: Hey, you had moments where you enjoyed it as well, so don't come at me
Mettaton: Let's start with an easy one! What's the prize for answering correctly?
Blue:....More Questions?
Mettaton: Wow! I haven't even shown the options, but you answered correctly! Now onto the next, what's the King's full name?
Frisk: Asgore Dreemurr!
Mettaton: Correct! You're both doing fabulous! Now onto me, what are robots made of?
Blue: Metal and Magic?
Mettaton: Correct again! This is too easy for you, right?
Mettaton shows one of those math questions I don't like, neither me or Frisk knew what the answer was but then I looked over at Alphys, she was signaling with her hands that it was D.
Blue: 32,058....minutes
Mettaton: Wonderful! I'm shocked! Now how many flies are in this jar?
Frisk: Fifty-!
Blue: Yes
Frisk: Blue!
Mettaton: Oh....my God....you used the secret way! I am impressed Human one!
Chara: What the?! How does that even work?!
Alphys: Impressive, I didn't even know there was a secret way!
Mettaton: Now, what monster is this?
I saw that it was a froggit but Mettaton seemed to be the answer from what Alphys was trying to tell us. Apparently it was right because the picture shown to us was revealed to be Mettaton wearing a shirt with froggit on it.....but that wouldn't be fair.
Mettaton: Now.....would you smooch a ghost?
All of the answers were heck yeah.....but I don't understand the question, Frisk apparently did and just said the only available answer, which of course, was right.
Mettaton: How many letters are in the name, Mettaton?
The numbers were increasing but the answer was C, again, according to Alphys. I don't think I like this quiz, it's unfair but Mettaton didn't seem to care.
He proceeds to ask a question about a game, all I know is that we had to say the favourite food of a character named Mew Mew......which Alphys answered.
Mettaton: Alphys, Alphys, Alphys. You aren't helping the humans now....are you? You should've told me, because now I have question for the humans.....on you!
Alphys: Mettaton, don't you dare!
Mettaton: Humans! Who does Dr Alphys have a crush on?
Blue:......What's a crush?
[Audience Gasp]
Mettaton: You....don't know....what a crush is?
Blue:.....Should I?
Mettaton: You absolutely should! Although I find it adorable that you're so innocent! I'll leave it for now, human number 2?
Frisk: U-Uh.....is it one of us?
Alphys: U-Uhh!
Mettaton: Wrong! But good try!
Alphys: Oh thank Asgore, Mettaton doesn't know.....yet, I hope he doesn't figure out who I like, it would be embarrassing!
Mettaton: Alphys has been watching you, smiling when you succeed, shrieking when you fall.....now that I know Alphys has been helping you. The show had to come to an end!
Blue: Finally
Mettaton: But....But! This was just the pilot episode!
Blue: Oh.....
Mettaton: Next up, more drama! More romance! More bloodshed! Until next time....Darlings~
Mettaton then proceeds to turn into a rocket....and fly away.....well that was interesting.
Alphys: Well that was certainly something
Blue: He was....strange but an entertainer, like you said he would be
Frisk: We should get going now
Alphys: W-Wait! Let me give you my phone number, t-then, maybe, if you need help....I could-Wait!
Blue: What is it?
Alphys: Where did you get that phone? It's ancient! Wait a second please!
Alphys disappears in the back with Frisk's phone and returns with it but in a more upgraded state.
Alphys: Here! This is better for you, you can text now and I even signed you up for the underground's number one social network!
Frisk: Oh cool, thanks Alphys
Blue: Does this mean, I can have more friends?
Alphys: Y-Yeah! M-Maybe! We can be friends if you want!
Blue: Okay, I am now your friend
Alphys:.....E-Excuse me for a moment...
Alphys quickly heads into her bathroom so me and Frisk head East through to the other side of the Laboratory. We go through some flat escalators, as I like to call them, while Alphys kept texting on the system, forgetting that we can see it through Frisk's phone.
One thing I noticed about this section of Hotland is that below us was the abyss instead of Lava. There were also platforms of either flat escalators or bundles of pipes to take us across, eventually we arrived at a section where the ground was above lava.
The heat was rising and it was best to move on quickly so that none of us faint. It was like some sort of Magma Chamber due to the cogs and other mechanical elements around us.
There were these platforms in the ground, some of them were producing gas and I could see why they were here. Some of the ground had gaps so we stepped on the centre of these mechanical platforms and wait as they propelled us forward and in the air.
Blue: This is a fun way to get across but how do they get the right trajectory?
Frisk: I'm not sure, but I guess Alphys must've designed them and if she is royal scientist, she probably got it right like with all of her inventions
Blue: Unless it's Mettaton.....
Frisk: Hahaha, yeah that is a problem for all of us
We use the air platforms to travel upwards before Alphys gives us a call, just as we find some orange lasers blocking our way.
Frisk: Hello? Alphys?
Alphys: U-Uh hello, so the blue lasers won't hurt you if you don't move but with the o-orange lasers, y-you have to be moving so just-
Blue: Walk through?
Alphys: Y-Yes! Bye!
She ends the call and we use this new information to get past the lasers, thankfully, the blue lasers were moving so we were able to wait and then move. Then we encountered a switch and pressed it, it turns off the lasers behind us and now it won't be time consuming if we were to go back.
The next area had three directions to go, Alphys calls us and reveals that the northern door will stay locked until we solve puzzles that are on the left and right sections. She suggets the right first so we take her advice and headed East.
We found the puzzle room and realised that it was like a game, and all we had to do was control the console and shoot the opposing ships. There were blocks in the way so I used the console to move them first and then open fire.
The ship was destroyed and the puzzle was completed, a sound rings out to let us know that we've done it.
Frisk: Well done Blue!
Blue: It wasn't hard, how is this a puzzle?
Chara: He.....has got a point, why did some monsters struggle with this?
We continue to the left puzzle and it was more difficult than the first one, but it wasn't that much difficult. It was still easy and it was still the same game.
Now that the puzzles were completed, the big door in the middle could be opened. We approach the door and wait as it opens automatically, then we enter a very dark room, making it hard to see, Alphys decides to ring us and tells us to hold on as she was going to sort out everything.
Alphys: I'll hack into the light system and brighten up the room for you!
Alphys gets to work and eventually, the lights come on and we found ourselves......in a kitchen? Is that a camera crew?
Blue: Frisk.....why are we in a kitchen?
Frisk: I-I think I know why.....
Mettaton: Hello again! My darlings~
Blue: Oh, it's you
Mettaton: Ohhhhh yes it's me! Welcome beauties, to our premier cooking show! Cooking with a Killer Robot!
Blue: Cooking show?
Frisk: I don't like this
Chara: You never did like this part
Mettaton: Pre-heat your ovens, we've got a very special recipe for you today! We are going to be making a cake!
Blue: Oh, I like cake
Mettaton: Me too! We already have so much in common darling! But I can't eat it because I'm a robot! Everyone at home, watch as my lovely assistants will gather the ingredients!
Before Mettaton could continue, I grabbed the Eggs, Sugar and Milk, placing them on the counter.
Mettaton: That was quick! I didn't even get to say what you needed to grab!
Frisk: Blue, how did you-?
Blue: I would watch the caretakers make a cake, so I knew what to grab after seeing them do it
Frisk: Oh! Fair enough!
Mettaton: We have all the required ingredients! Milk! Sugar! Eggs! But.....we are missing one more ingredient! The most important one!
Frisk: Here it comes......
Blue: Is it chocolate? Or Ice cream?
Mettaton: [Grabs a Chainsaw] A human soul!
Blue: Oh ._.
Frisk: Pfft, the disappointment on his face makes him so cute.
Chara:....I won't say anything this time
Mettaton slowly advances towards us with his chainsaw and I quickly bring out my right blade, ready for a fight if Mettaton tries it. Suddenly, someone calls Mettaton and he stops what he is doing and answers it.
Mettaton: Hello? I'm kind of in the middle of something
Alphys: W-Wait a moment! C-Couldn't you....uhhh...make a substitution in the recipe?
Mettaton: A substitution? You mean, use a non human ingredient? Why?
Blue: Chocolate sounds good
Chara: Oh yeah it does!
Alphys: W-What if someone is....vegan?
Mettaton: Vegan? That's a brilliant idea, Alphys! Actually I happen to have an option right here!
Blue: Is it chocolate?
Frisk: No Blue, it isn't chocolate
Blue/Chara: Oh..../Awww
Mettaton: MTT-BRAND's very own always convenient human soul flavour substitute!
Mettaton points to a counter on the other side of the kitchen with a can on it, I decide that I would go and grab it so I walk over and attempt to grab it.
But then, I realised I was set up as the counter sinks into the ground and shoots up, with many more counters emerging from the ground, it was now a long tower of counters.
Mettaton: By the way, if you can't get the can in the next minute, we'll just have to back to the original plan......so better start climbing, darling~
Blue: Why can't we just have chocolate?
Mettaton: Because that is for our next cooking show! Now.....time is ticking!
Alphys: [Calls In] Oh no! This is bad!
Frisk: Don't worry Alphys, I'm sure you have a plan....right?
Alphys: I-I do actually! You see your phone?
While they were talking, I looked in the air and thought to myself......what are the extents of my magic? What happens when I....do this?
I focused on my back and imagined something that could make me ascend, I felt a change in me and saw that I had jetpack wings.
It considered of a grey frame with boosters on it to make me ascend into the air. I was surprised it worked the first time so I thought about the boosters working.
Alphys: Now press that button has-!
Chara: Uhh Frisk
Frisk: Yes? Oh.......
Alphys: W-Where did he get those from?!
I fly upwards at speeds that the others including myself, did not expect, Mettaton was trying to stop me with various ingredients but I flew past him and grabbed the can.
Mettaton: A-Amazing! You are definitely full of surprises, darling! But we will see how you do in the next part of the show.....oh and the cake has already been made.
Blue: Then I will eat it
Mettaton: I hope you do, after all....I made it~
Blue: That is concerning
Mettaton: Toodles!
Mettaton flies away and I decide to land, my wings disappear into my back and both Frisk and Alphys (Over The Phone) could not believe what I have just done.
Frisk: Blue that was amazing! I didn't know you had those!
Blue: Again, I didn't as well.
Alphys: Y-You did it! You're amazing, Blue! W-Well uhh, you should probably keep moving forward
Blue: Will do, let's go Frisk
Frisk: Right, you're surprising all of us with each activity
Blue: Including myself
We move forward into the next area and saw a looming structure, it was very mechanical and Frisk tells me that this is the CORE.
Blue: How do you know what it's called?
Frisk: A-Alphys told me t-through text
Blue: Interesting, will we be going over there?
Frisk: Yes, it's the source of all power for the Underground.
Blue: Amazing
Frisk: And there is an elevator that will lead directly to Asgore's castle
Blue: I see, well, we should continue moving
Frisk: We have to be careful still
Blue: I am always careful
We find a different elevator and go inside it as that was the only way forward.....or upwards in our case. We pressed the option for Left Floor 1 and found ourselves in another section of Hotland, there was a locked door on this level so we decided to head back into the elevator and select the Right Floor 2 option instead.
We had to go through a series of puzzles such as a button and conveyor puzzle and a air platform puzzle, all while Alphys kept posting messages on the social media page.
Even Papyrus started messaging on the web page, Napstablook also sent us a friend request but got rid of it before Frisk could accept it. I took her phone and sent him the request which he ultimately accepted.
We continue walking until we were called out by a voice behind us, we stopped and watched as two Royal Guards approached us. It was the same ones blocking the northern path outside of Alphys' laboratory.
RG 1: We've, like, recieved an anonymous tip about a human wearing wearing a striped shirt and another human with a long coat.
RG 2: They told us they were wandering around Hotland right now
Blue: Sounds spooky
RG 1: I know, sounds scary, huh? Well, just stay chill
RG 2: We will bring you someplace safe, okay?
They were going to lead us somewhere safe but stopped after they had a look at our clothes. It seems to me, that they had finally clocked on who we are.
RG 1: Ah damn. We, like, actually totally have to kill you and stuff.
Blue: Shame
Frisk: Don't worry Blue, I have an idea
Blue: You seem to always have an idea.
The two Royal Guards got ready to fight us but during the battle, Frisk would clean the second Royal Guard's armour. It seemed to make him too hot so he took off the chest piece of his armour, Royal Guard 1 seemed put off by this and Frisk was smirking....what is she planning?
RG 2: Much better
Frisk goes over to RG 1 and whispers something to him, he seemed conflicted but had a plan form in his head. Frisk walks back over to me while I was left confused, she tells me to watch and I look over at the Royal Guards.
It seems that RG 1 had this feeling over RG 2, I didn't understand any of it so I look at Frisk.
Blue: When they are done talking, meet me up ahead
Frisk: Awww, don't you want to see this?
Blue/Chara: No
Frisk: Oh fine -_-
I walk ahead while Frisk watches the confusing Royal Guards, I arrive in a dark room like before and knew that Mettaton would be present. I didn't know how the lights would turn on since I had no phone but Alphys seemed to be watching as she turns on the lights for me.
When they did turn on, I could see that I was still in Hotland but there were speakers around the area. It was producing a soundtrack that resembled a News Theme, but the thing I got right was that Mettaton was involved and I could hear him over the speakers.
Mettaton: Good evening, beauties and gentlebeauties! This is Mettaton, reporting live from MTT News! An interesting situation had arisen in Eastern Hotland!
Blue: Oh, so that's where we are
Mettaton: Fortunately, our correspondent is out there! Reporting live!
Blue: Is he talking about me?
Frisk: Yep, we are now apart of the news team......and something else
Blue: Oh you're back, but what else are we apart of?
Frisk: You'll find out
Chara: [Cough] Bomb Defuse Squad
Mettaton: Brave Correspondents! Please find something newsworthy to report!
Blue: Wait, I thought there was something already?
Frisk: Oh there is, we just have to find it
I look around and found a variety of different things such as the dog that stole Papyrus' special attack, a game called Undertale, a present for me and a movie script for Mettaton's new movie.
I decided go report on the script and Mettaton beckons me to open it....but when I do.....I find.......
Is that a bomb?
Huh....it is.
Mettaton: What's that? Inside of the script? That ticking sound, that lit fuse? Oh my! It looks like I was lying about the movie!
Blue: It was a TV show
Mettaton: No, my darling, that's for the next year. That is a box office bomb over there! It is definitely a problem!
Blue: Oh, so it is a bomb
Frisk: Y-Yes, yes it is
Mettaton: And it's about to blast you to bits! But I don't think you have seen the rest of the room, darlings!
The room was now fully revealed to show that everything in this room was a bomb. Yes, that includes the dog as well.....
Blue:......I don't think I want to be a news reporter anymore
Mettaton: Well too bad! Because now you have this to deal with! If you don't defuse all of these bombs, then this big bomb will blow you to smithereens in two minutes! How horrible! How intense! What will our brave correspondents do now-?
I use my new winged jet pack and fly over to the big bomb, I equip the gauntlets on both of my hands and start to lift the bomb.
Frisk: B-Blue, what are you doing?!
Blue: Thinking.....outside the box
I lift the bomb over my head and start to fly, it was hard because the bomb was weighing me down, but eventually, I start to slowly ascend and head over to the edge.
Lava was below me and I throw the bomb into the lava. Frisk was confused but took cover when the bomb exploded in the hot magma. I flew back and landed near Frisk so that I can get away from the explosion and the lava when it shot up.
Frisk: Blue, why did you do that?
Blue: Look at the other bombs
Frisk looks over and saw what I was thinking, the smaller bombs were defused now that their link to the big bomb was gone. Frisk was shocked but smiles at me while Mettaton also couldn't believe it.
Frisk: I never thought about that, Alphys was going to ring me about how to defuse them but you seemed to have your own way
Mettaton: I can't believe this, viewers! Our correspondent has saved the day and officially stopped the bombs! I don't know how he managed to figure it out, but he did! But somehow, he took out all of the fun from this!
