"WE'RE COMING. Eyes, bring the book, but we're going upstairs right now." I instructed.

"We can't get it open." Screech whined, clearly annoyed, clenching her fists. Her obsidian bracelet shined as she did so.
"What's in there? Can you see through the hole in the door?" Dupe asked. "You're the one who sees well in the dark." Dupe added.
"I physically cannot." Screech replied.
"Well, what do you have there?" Rush gestured towards the book Eyes was holding.
"History of the hotel.....it has a chapter on doppelgangers....I think.." Eyes uttered.
We flicked through the pages.....75..........80........101.....102- that was it! "Here! I think this might be a chapter on doppelgangers. Look at the chapter title, it matches up what we're looking for!" I gasped.
"What does it say?" Rush asked.
"Um.....This hotel is a pat of a rumour dating back to the 1990, where a hotel has approximately 100 doors, where entities will attempt to capture and slaughter you. If these entities do not seem frightening enough, try the doppelgangers. There are doppelgangers for each entity, more dangerous and gruesome than the original. Rumour has it that these will eventually take over the hotel and replace the originals." I read, almost gasping. Not almost, I did gasp. This book was IT. It matched up perfectly with what we were experiencing.
"That's.....what we're experiencing..." Rush gasped. "This is it."
"That's what I thought, we'll have to continue reading it, but-"
That's when we heard the bell for dinner. The pitch was higher than Ariana Grande's voice. So loud, it could shatter my poor eardrums and make me deaf completely.
"Take the book. Meet me at my dorm. TONIGHT. Text me if you can't make it but PLEASE try to be there." I instructed firmly. Everyone nodded, and we headed towards the cafeteria.

"Here's the plan. We read the book CAREFULLY and whatever it says to do, we do it. Understand?" I explained.
"Kinda basic and stupid.....but okay..." Dupe implied.
"May I remind you of the time where you planned to kill a cockroach using milk, then it jumped on you? That was more stupid." I shot back.
"Um- why milk-" Screech asked.
"Doesn't matter." I replied.
So we started looking through the book.
In the 1990s, after the discovery of doppelgangers, they built what seemed like an abandoned room, located in door 50 (the library). According to the rumour, important information about each entity are held there for the doppelgangers to use to eventually take over the hotel.
"Wait- abandoned room in the library? Could it be that old wooden door?" Eyes suggested.
"I think so, where else would it be?" I asked.
"So we go there tomorrow?" Screech questioned.
"No, we work tomorrow. We go there. Right now." I announced, confidently. Okay, so I wan't actually confident but I had to be. This was to save our home, so of course we have to do it. If they took over, where else would we stay? Go all the way to Spain, live in the palace my sister lives in, take boring Spanish lessons, then be watched under public eyes' view? No thank you.
"You're joking right? We'll be caught and punished!" Screech gasped.
"I'm serious. This is to save our home. Would we let the doppelgangers take over?" I asked.
"No but-"
"Exactly. We go there NOW. No exceptions. Screech, grab some hair clips, we might be able to unlock locked doors with those."

So we're outside of our dorm now. So this probably isn't my smartest move, because the floors are FREEZING, I'm going to freeze myself. But like I said, this is to save out home.
We tip toed quietly door to door. We were very careful to not get caught or make a noise.
After what seemed like forever, we reached Door 50. I reached out my hand towards the polished golden knob and turned it.
It was locked.
"Darn it.." I reached my hand out to Screech, making it obvious I wanted a hair clip. As soon I felt the cold object placed on my palm, I grabbed it and used it on the door lock.
I tried it the first time. No luck. I tried the second, and the third and no such luck either.
"Ambush, hurry up. It's making an awful noise and it will wake everyone up." Dupe whispered.
"I'm trying, you airhead."
"You don't have enough strength, here, let me try." Dupe took over and turned and twisted it aggressively. After what seemed like forever, it worked.
"Finally!" I sighed.

"You remember where it was?" Eyes asked Halt. He nodded, and walked upstairs towards the door.
"Here, you try it this time." I gave the hair clip to Dupe.
"So I'm in charge now?" Dupe smiled.
"Of course not, you idiot. She just wants you to do it." Rush rolled his eyes, looking quite annoyed for such a small thing.
This time, it was much smoother and we opened up the door faster. The door creaked open. We stepped inside, and what was inside shocked me.

Inside was a dusty folder with what looked like documents inside. I put my hand to the paper, the dust immediately covering my fingertips.
"I'll open it." Rush said, which I was thankful for as I didn't want to lay my hands on that dusty folder.
And I was right, there were documents inside which did have our information. We all gasped before looking at our documents that were us.
"Well? Do we take them?" Eyes questioned.
"Maybe don't....." I uttered. Eyes wanted to ask why, but seemed to know the reason. The doppelgangers already have our information, and it won't make a difference hen we take them.
There was still a note beside the folder. It read:

1. Grand Amber Library- Warsaw, Poland (950 books on how to stop doppelgangers)
2. Wonder Library- Vienna, Austria (301 books on how to stop doppelgangers)
3. Heirloom Library- Helsinki, Finland (132 books on how to stop doppelgangers)
So these were important locations for us because they contained important information on how to banish these doppelgangers.
"Wow- how did they know all this-" Screech seemed shock.
"Well, we really need this information..and books.." I uttered.
"Wait you're saying we go to the-"
"Yes, we go to Grand Amber Library in Poland." I said.
"But GL won't let us....." Eyes began.
"Once we tell her, she probably will." Screech said, shrugging.
"I don't know about that...and anyway, isn't Poland like...6,000 km away from Maine?" Eyes asked.
Everyone turned to look at her, and she seemed embarrassed. "I know, I'm a bit of a nerd..." Eyes uttered shyly.
"But you're still MY nerd." I affectionately said.
"Aww⁓" Eyes smiled.
"Okay, that's enough you two, lets go back to our dorms and hopefully GL understands what we're doing." Halt said.
