Sometimes, we love someone so much that we never want anything to hurt them.
We'll be willing to burn the entire galaxy to ashes just so that one person can feel safe and loved and just live in peace.
- Y/N POV -
I would always be confident when I said... "Danielle is the most loving and beautiful goddess in the universe".
"Master, how can you guard someone who got you kicked out of the kingdom?" My little demons always asked.
"If you had ever met Danielle.... then you'd understand," I always answered.
*BOOOOMMMM*
A sudden flash of light trembled the entire underworld.
"Dani is missing. What did you do?!?" The Zeus of our kingdom yelled as she grabbed a hold of my throat and lifted me in the air.
"I didn't do anything!!!" I accepted my fate.
"Goddess Kang!" My little hellions started to bow at the ruler of us all.
Kang Haerin and I always fought for Danielle's love.
I knew Dani would never look at me the way that she looked at Haerin, but that didn't stop me from showing my appreciation for her.
"WHAT DID YOU DO?!!!" Haerin squeezed around my neck even tighter.
"SPEAK, I KNOW YOU HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT!!" The Devine Goddess screamed in my face.
"Is something wrong with The Goddess of Kindness?" My right hand little demon suddenly asked.
"I just checked on her 45 seconds ago. How could something had happened so soon!?" My little demon seemed genuinely scared.
"SEE!! YOU SENT SOMEONE TO HARM HER. NOW TELL ME!!!" Haerin pulled me up against a wall.
She seemed aimed to kill me.
"I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!!!!" My rage took over and my whole body burst into flames.
Haerin had no other option but to put me down...
Unless she wanted to burn to death.
"I didn't do anything," I repeated myself as I put off the flames on my clothes.
"Tell me where she is," The Devine Goddess demanded.
I scoffed at her demand.
It seemed like she had come here to pick a fight.
"Don't you have gods and goddess that can locate your precious lover," I snickered with contempt.
"Why would I waste people's time when I know you had something to do with it," Haerin looked at me with disgust.
I knew that disgust wasn't caused by me.
That's not how my little sister behaved.
I chuckled to myself in amusement at her facial expression.
"You didn't come down here because you think I did it," I scoffed with a bit of a smirk.
"You came here to get my help," I started to laugh at how ridiculous Haerin was being.
"Don't flatter yourself," The Devine Goddess gave me a glare.
"Whatever is it, I'm not helping," I quickly responded before returning to my underworld duties.
"I KNOW YOU STILL LOVE HER!!" Haerin yelled.
I bit the inside of my cheek at the sudden accusation.
I had fond memories of Dani, but I didn't love her anymore....
Not after she chose Haerin over me and casted me down into the underworld.
"You killed millions and don't seem to show remorse," Dani said as she stepped behind Haerin's throne and voted me out of the kingdom.
I decided to take the punishment.
If Danielle felt that I was no longer someone to live amongst the devine... then maybe she was right.
Even if I did it all for her....,
Dani seemed to have a bigger heart than I did...
So, I took my punishment.
"Show me where she is!" The Devine Goddess demanded.
"Unless she's dying soon, I can't see where she is!!" I coldly responded as I kept marching down the halls of the underworld.
"Then break the rules!!" Haerin yelled.
"I know you love her and so do I!! Please don't wait until she shows up in your visions!!" Haerin continued to yell.
I stopped in my tracks.
My biggest fear in life was too see the last moments of Danielle's life flash through my eyes.
"Please, I'm begging you. I wouldn't be here if I didn't need you," The Devine Goddess' demeanor suddenly turned soft.
Haerin sounded more like a little sister than the devine ruler.
I couldn't deny my little sister of my help.
She was my little sister after all.
"Where did you last see her?" I sighed out in defeat.
"Just a few seconds ago. She was in the towns market giving children flowers and then she suddenly banished," Haerin gulped out.
I knew Haerin felt guilty.
It wasn't because she didn't see where Danielle went or because she couldn't stop whatever happened....
It was because Haerin knew she shouldn't be following Dani like that.
But neither should I.
"Okay," I softly whispered before summoning the death water from The Grave Sea.
The water in the underworld told stories..
When under my command, it told the future.
I fully emerged my hand into the water floating in front of me...,
Since I was the God of Destruction...
The water seemed to know every devastating thing that was ever happening.
Every death, every natural disaster, every moment of misery everyone anywhere felt.
"Do you think it will work?" The vision in the water started to form.
"Shush, I have a message to deliver!" We heard a familiar voice start to speak.
Suddenly, the God of war came into frame.
"I know you can see this. I know you'll come to her rescue, but think about this.... we could take over the Devine kingdom and rule. We aren't the bad guys in this world. THEY ARE!!" My uncle seemed unhinged.
"WE CAN GET OUR DEVINE TITLES BACK. WE CAN RULE THE WORLD AS WE ONCE DID. ELSE..., I WILL KILL HER!!" The God of War kept yelling.
I turned my vision off and sighed in annoyance.
I recollected myself and just kept on walking.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!?" Haerin yelled.
I didn't pay any mind to it.
"STOP AND ANSWER ME!!!" A sudden thunderstorm filled the skies of the underworld.
I took a deep breath and turned to look at Haerin...
"He's bluffing. If he was trying to hurt her then I would have gotten a vision by now," I coldly told her.
"Besides, he's in an entire different galaxy and universe. I don't want to turn into ashes for disobeying godly laws," I sighed out before continuing to keep walking.
Haerin suddenly flashed in front of me and placed her hand on my chest to keep me from walking.
"You've burned an entire galaxy looking for her. How is this any different?" Haerin asked.
I took a deep breath and kept on walking.
"You think that killing millions of people in our own kingdom is okay to save one Devine Being?!!?" Haerin yelled as I was held on trial for murder.
I had always been the God of Destruction.
Except, before...
I was known as the one who brought on earthquakes, floods, and tornadoes.
I was an essential part of the godly kingdom.
I was in charge of keeping the whole planet and galaxy in balance.
Of course, I was always hated on by humans....
But never by the gods.
Specifically not by Danielle.
Danielle always comforted me when the prayers of the humans got to me.
Dani always knew just how to cheer me up when I had to do something to keep the human world habitable.
I guess..., you couldn't expect less from The Goddess of Kindness.
"I can't support your claim. Your job is to keep our wolds in balance. Killing innocent people wasn't worth my life," Danielle said as she stepped up to stand next to Haerin.
My whole world fell apart in that moment.
"So, are going to help?!" Haerin suddenly pulled me out of my memories.
- Danielle POV -
The sudden heat that had formed around the throne was getting to me.
It felt like hell itself was suddenly materializing in the room.
"WHERE IS SHE?!!?" A familiar voice suddenly echoed through the room.
"Y/n?!" I thought to myself.
This wasn't the first time I had seen a room catch flames in front of me.
"You messed with the wrong person!!" I heard Y/n's voice echo throughout the entire building.
It felt like the trembles of Y/n's voice we're about to knock the whole building to its foundation.
Just like I had once experienced before....,
I watched as a huge fire ball walked towards me.
A could clearly see a figure amongst the flames, it was a figure of someone I knew all too well.
"You will burn to the ground and turn into ashes as you deserve!!!" I heard another familiar voice yell.
Thunder could suddenly be heard throughout the strange place I had been brought to...
And it was then..
That I knew,
Y/n and Haerin had come to save me.
Haerin was always the one person I could count on.
Haerin was kind and loving. She cared for everyone in every single corner of our galaxy and beyond..
And Y/n..
Y/n would burn the whole universe down to save someone they loved.
It was always hard to choose a sibling.
As much as I always wanted to chose Y/n...,
I knew we weren't compatible.
Y/n destroyed, while I uplifted.
I always wanted to love Y/n....
But Y/n always did something that would destroy the little things I worked so hard for...
All the little things I did for humanity and the gods.
Y/n would end up destroying them.
I always did my best to understand that it was just Y/n's godly duties. So, I was always as kind as I could be.
I could tell that it hurt Y/n to bring balance upon the universe in the most uncomfortable way.
I was always very grateful for the things Y/n did to keep our world from fully falling apart.
It was a job that came with no thanks...
Unlike mine.
That's until....,
Y/n killed over 100 million beings across the galaxy just to save me.
"Are you okay?" Y/n suddenly asked... sucking me out of my memory.
"Grab her!!" Haerin yelled as she burned every one of their uncle's minions with her lightning bolts.
"She's your girlfriend!!!" Y/n bickered back.
That statement was untrue.
Haerin and I were engaged.
"She can't burn down with your flames. You know how to control your fire!!!" Haerin yelled back.
Y/n seemed to just give into Haerin's request.
The flames engulfing Y/n's body simmered down and a little fiery finger suddenly burned down the ropes I was tied in.
Before I knew it, Y/n had thrown me over their shoulder and we had flashed back into The Underworld.
"Thank you," I whispered as Y/n put me down.
Y/n didn't give me a response but instead gave me a light smile and bowed at me.
"Let's go!" Haerin said as she grabbed my wrist.
"Wait!!!" I quickly responded.
I then snatched my wrist from Haerin's grip and ran up to Y/n...
I stopped right in front of Y/n and saw their red glowing skin boiling from the heat they had endured..
"Thank you," I whispered once again..
Before stepped up to kiss Y/n's cheek.
