Keefe leaned in, catching his girlfriend in a kiss. With a blush gathering on her cheeks and gold flecks suspended in her eyes, he really couldn't help himself.
Sophie kissed him back, though it was short-lived. "My dad's watching," she mumbled into his ear.
Fighting a groan, Keefe glanced down at Havenfield from their stance on Calla's hill. Sure enough, Grady was positioned at a window, arms taut over his chest and eyes filled with solid steel. "He's going to kill me," Keefe muttered.
"Probably," Sophie agreed.
Pulling her back into him, Keefe brought their lips together once more. "At least I'll die happy."
