"C'mere," Keefe said, holding out his arms to Sophie, whose body was outlined with rays of dawn against the stark blue sky.
"Why?" she whispered.
"Haven't you ever heard of cuddling?"
She blushed. "With you?"
"I'm really not that bad once you get to know me."
"I do know you."
Grinning, Keefe took her hands and gently pulled her to the grass beside him. He propped his back against Calla's tree, giving Sophie the opportunity to lean into him. It took a few moments, but when she shyly nuzzled her face into his shoulder, Keefe had never been happier.
