My team was the first to get out of the warehouse as soon as we heard Ace. Two minutes later Arthur and his team came out followed by Ace's team. Now only Three of my brothers were in the warehouse. We were waiting for them as our men went to bring the cars.
There were only 3 minutes left for the blast.
A few seconds later all three of them came Ace was supporting Issac he was heavily bruised while Elijah was crying, carrying a girl?
I looked at the girl and my heart broke at her state.
As soon as they reached us the warehouse was destroyed.
I couldn't help but shed some tears the girl looked familiar.
"Are you serious! who are you bringing we only had to save Issac" Arthur shouted at Elijah
"Who is she. You would had left her" he said
Ace slapped Arthur
"It is Alice" Elijah said
At this point there wasn't any moment from our side for a few seconds.
"Are you kidding me, Alice is with Evelyn hiding in some corner of the world" Arthur shouted
"NO! Its her I saw her eyes" Issac said
Noah was crying at this point.
No one said a word as we entered our cars while Elijah was supposed to sit with Ace, Arthur, Nathaniel and Issac, he came to my car delicately placing Alice in the car and slided beside her.
We rushed to our hospital.
As soon as we entered Issac and Alice were taken by Dr.Sophia.
Commanding nurses to attend Issac and rushing with Alice to the operation theater.
It has been two hours since Dr.Sophia took Alice. She has been attending us for more than 20 years now. We can't help but be scared of the condition of our Stella(star).
All of us were in a bad shape, Elijah, Noah and Nathaniel were crying.
Ace and Arthur were just staring at the walls.
Issac was said to complete his IV before his discharge. Elijah was checking on him from time to time.
As soon as the IV was done he rushed to us and explained what happened.
After he was done Arthur punched the wall and left the hospital.
*4 hours lateree*
Dr. Sophia came out of the operation theater.
"How is she"
"Is she awake"
"Did everything go well"
"Why did it take so long"
"SHUT UP" Ace shouted
Everyone shut their mouth. Ace gestured her to speak
"Is she Alice" she asked
"Yes" Issac whispered but she heard and continued
"She is severely malnourished, she was whipped on her back multiple times, there are several broken bones which were fixed and again broken and now she has 3 broken ribs her left kneecap is broken and her right kneecap is her right wrist is broken, her thighs have burn marks, words carved on her stomach her she had many internal injuries. We had to operate on her but during operation her heart stopped-" she was interrupted by Nathaniel
He threw a chair across the hospital.
"Let her speak do not interrupt" Ace gritted
"As I was saying her heart stopped three times during the operation but we managed to bring her back. And there are a few tests to be done which can't be done without her consent or her guardian's consent. She must rest at least a month to recover physically and you have to be patient with her while she is recovering. "
"I will call my lawyer and take her custody, you can run the required tests." Ace says
At this point everyone was crying except Ace.
'We couldn't protect our sorella from the evil of the world. But we will protect her this time there are her brothers who will be protecting her' I thought
"After the tests are done we would like to see her" Elijah says
"Yes you can visit her after the tests we will be shifting her to the VIP room, but you have to make sure that only one at a time." sophia says
She leaves to for the tests while Ace speaks to the lawyer to prepare for the custody.
Elijah is trying to console Nathaniel while hugging him, Noah is lost in his thoughts silently crying. I am sure he thinks its his fault for her state.
I went to him and enveloped him in my arms, unlike Elijah I can't console a crying person or anyone in general I only know to shed blood of our enemies. Noah stayed still for few minutes he hugged me after realising its me hugging him he put his head on my shoulder and cried silently I just patted his back.
A few minutes later he calmed down and looked and me as if saying 'thank you for this'
"No problem I am your elder brother" I say
He smiled.
Nathaniel was still crying while Elijah tried his best saying sweet things and promising that we will be there to protect her.
Ace came back spoke to the doc and she confirmed that we could meet our sorella now. She is unconscious now but we could at least see her.
As soon as she said we could go we agreed to go eldest to youngest. I ringed Arthur's phone to call him up he didn't lift his call. I called him at least ten times he didn't answer his phone. I tried once more. He answered his phone and I explained him what happened and asked him to come back to meet Alice.
"OK" he said
While I was speaking to Arthur, Ace went in ad came back. His expressions were unreadable but I could understand (after all we were trained together) he was about to cry.
Elijah went in after a few seconds he came back and he was full on crying Issac went and hugged him.
Now it was my turn I was scared to see her, I was a ruthless man of the mafia I shed so much blood of other people but I couldn't bare to see my sorella hurt.
I was scared. But I went in and the sight made my heart shatter.
She was there on a hospital bed, she was tiny and there were several wires and pipes on her body.
I went to her held her hand I couldn't help but notice her hand was so fragile it was all bones.
A few minutes I sat there without saying anything. I don't know if she could hear me but I said
"Sorella I am sorry I couldn't protect her all this time. All this time you had to suffer because of us, we couldn't protect you from being abused like this. It breaks my heart to see you like this. But I promise I will protect you and give you anything you want, you deserve the world my stella"

"I promise I will buy you all the ice-cream in the world-" there was a little squeeze on my hand
I looked at her and couldn't stop my smile
" I promise to give you the world you deserve" I say
I sit there for a few minutes and leave thinking of my younger brothers who are waiting to meet Alice.
I went out with a small smile.
"OH MY GOD!" Issac says gaining everyone's attention
"What's wrong are you ok" Elijah asks
"Yes I am fine but look Alex is SMILING" he says
Everyone looks at me and my smile disappears and I go to sit on one of the chairs.
"I am going in then " Arthur says
