The knock on Taylor's front door made her turn away from the tv.
She got up and made her way to the door and when she opened it, she saw you standing there with a sad look in your eyes.
"Y/N? What's the matter?"
"Can I come in, please?"
"Of course!" She said and let you inside before closing the door behind you.
She watched you plop down on the sofa with a heavy sigh.
"Do you want a drink? I'll grab one for each of us and then you can talk to me about what's bothering you."
"I'd like that. Thanks, Taylor."
"No problem." She replied before going into the kitchen to grab two glasses.
She poured some wine for you both and then made her way back into the living room.
"Here."
You took a glass and immediately downed the wine, making Taylor's eyes go wide.
"Wow. Must've been a really bad day."
"It was." You said with a heavy sigh. "So much went wrong."
"Like?"
"I didn't get that promotion I worked so hard for." You spoke as Taylor put her hand on your shoulder comfortingly. "And then a girl I was getting to know just decided I wasn't worth getting to know anymore. I liked her too."
"I'm so sorry, Y/N." She said as she squeezed your shoulder. "I know you worked hard for that promotion and you deserved it. I'm so sorry that they were too blind to see that."
"Thanks." You said with a small smile."And as for that girl, if she decided that then she's an idiot. You deserve someone better and I promise you, you will find them."
"I hope you're right." You said.
Taylor so desperately wanted to tell you that someone that truly loves and cares for you was right there, right in front of your eyes.
But she didn't because she was too nervous to confess something like that to you, too afraid that you might not feel the same.
"Let me get you some more wine." She said before getting up.
"It's okay, I can get it."
"Don't worry about it." She said as she got up and grabbed your glass before going into the kitchen.
She needed to get those thoughts out of her head because confessing to you today of all days didn't seem appropriate in her eyes when you weren't feeling well mentally.
She returned to the living room a second later and this time, she brought the bottle of wine with her.
"Thank you." You said as you took a sip from the glass.
"You're welcome. What would you like to do besides get drunk tonight?"
"Watch some bad reality tv?"She chuckled before turning on the tv, letting you choose what to watch.
You turned on some reality show, one that would surely make you both laugh like crazy as you both got drunk.
The hours slipped by and you were both extremely intoxicated.
Your words were slurred, there were empty wine bottles across the table, and you had just finished another glass.
"Holy shit I"m drunk." You said and Taylor just laughed and put her head on your shoulder.
"Me too!"
You joined in on the laughter before you both went quiet for a minute.
Before Taylor spoke up again.
"You liked that girl, huh?"
"Oh, yeah. She was pretty cool. She had a good sense of humor, which I like. But apparently, I was just not worth her time and the feelings that I had for her were just not mutual."
"She must be insane."
"Taylor," You chuckled.
"No, I'm serious. I can't imagine not loving you. There's so much to love about you! You're hot and you're so sweet. You're always there for the ones you love and you're so funny. I think you might be the whole package. It's why I've been in love with you from the day we met."
"You're in love with me?"
Taylor finished the last of her drink before putting the empty glass on the table.
"Yeah, of course, I am. Who isn't?" She asked.
And even though you were both drunk off of your asses, it was very evident from the look in your eyes and hers that the things you were saying and the things you felt there in that moment were very real and not just from the alcohol.
"It'd be cool if you said you felt the same." She spoke.
"I do, Taylor. I'm in love with you too."
"Is it the alcohol speaking?" She wondered.
"No. It gives me a little liquid courage but definitely not. I've been in love with you for so long now."
Her breath hitched as she realized just how close your face was to hers.
You stared into her blue eyes and then looked down at her lips.
"Taylor?"
"Yes?"
"Please kiss me."
She didn't hesitate to do just as you asked because, oh god, she's dreamt of hearing those words leave your lips for the longest time.
Her lips felt so warm and soft against hers and despite the alcohol on her breath, you completely melted.
You put your arms around her neck and she gently pushed you back against the sofa so you were laying down on it.
Hovering over you, her lips moved softly against yours as you got lost in each other.
You reached for her shirt and tugged at it, wordlessly telling her that you wanted to do just more than make out.
She put her forehead on yours and tried to catch her breath.
"You're sure?"
You nodded.
"No, you have to say it. No nodding your head, I need to hear it, baby girl."
"Yes, Tay. I'm sure. I want you."She smiled before putting her lips on yours, giving you another kiss.
"But..." You said, making Taylor panic. "Not on your sofa."
She breathed out a sigh of relief, fearing you had changed your mind.
But you hadn't.
You just wanted to get intimate with her in her bed rather than on her sofa.
She got up and locked the front door before leading you upstairs to her room.
The lights and tv were still on but Taylor didn't care.
She didn't have the patience to turn them off.
She just wanted to get up to her room and continue where you left off.
As soon as you reached her room, she pushed you on the bed and hovered over you.
"Your shirt, Tay. It needs to come off."
She smiled at you as she pulled it off and tossed it across the room.
She did the same with her pajama bottoms and then focused on undressing you.
She pulled off your top and when it was off, she peppered kisses across your chest and your stomach.
She trailed her kisses down your body and after taking your shorts off, she kissed your thighs.
"Tay," You blissfully sighed, hoping that this was headed where you hoped it was.
Your heart was hammering against your chest and you tangled your fingers in her long blonde hair but she quickly removed your hand from her hair and instead tangled her fingers with yours against the sheets.
"I want to hold your hands, baby." She softly spoke.
Part of you wondered if this was just a drunk hookup despite you both confessing your true feelings for each other.
But, in your hearts, you both knew it was something different and something more than that.
Taylor moved back up your body and put her lips back on yours as her fingers brushed against the insides of your thighs, close to where you really craved her touch most.
"You're absolutely sure you want this? With me?"
"I only want you, Taylor. I only ever want you. I've dreamt of this with you for so long. Please, Taylor. I need you."
And with that, she didn't hold back and she didn't hesitate to give you everything that you wanted.
You were in absolute bliss.
The hours passed by as you and Taylor got lost in each other, bringing each other to the edge multiple times as your bodies met in passion.
It was perfect.
It was everything you ever dreamt of and more.
And it was with Taylor, which is all you cared about.
You didn't stop until the sun came up.
Only then did you both feel exhausted and decided to call it a night.
You both slept nude, not bothering to even pull a shirt on.
Sleeping in each other's arms with your head on her chest and her warm skin touching yours felt like a little taste of heaven.
You drifted off to sleep, completely ignoring the fact that you both had places to be today.
But neither of you wanted to be there and, instead, you stayed with each other and blew everything else off for just one day.
It was around one in the afternoon when your eyes opened.
Taylor was already awake and she was staring at you so adoringly as she played with your hair.
"Hi." She whispered.
"Hi." You said back to her with a soft smile.
"I don't know if we need to talk about last night. If you don't remember or if you changed your mind and don't feel the same-"
"How could I ever forget about last night? You made me feel so good, Taylor." You said as a blissful smile pulled at your lips just thinking back to the hours of pure bliss with her. "And I still feel the same... if you do."
"I don't."
Your heart dropped, only for her to continue.
"I think, if it's possible, I might be even more in love with you than I was before."
You breathed out a sigh of relief before playfully and lightly punching her shoulder.
"You scared me!"
"Sorry, darling." She chuckled as she pulled you closer.
"So... What are we now?"
"Well, if you want to be, I'd love for you to be my girl."
"I'd love that too." You smiled as her eyes lit up. "I'm yours, Taylor."
She leaned in and pulled you in for a sweet kiss.
"You're so beautiful, baby." She whispered. "If we hadn't gone for hours last night, I'd say we could go again but you're probably tired."
"Not in the slightest." You said as you kissed her again. "But you should treat me to breakfast first. You know, our first one as girlfriends."
"Yeah?" She grinned as she brushed her fingers across your cheek. "Here or out?"
"We'll order something and get it delivered. That way, we don't have to do anything but throw a shirt on."
"Perfect." She smiled and kissed you again before handing you her phone.
"Order whatever your heart desires, sweet girl. It's my treat."
You ordered some food for you both to share before putting her phone down and pulling her closer, kissing her again.
"I love you, Tay. Thank you for making me so happy and for making me feel so loved."
"I love you too." She said as she stared into your eyes. "That was more than just a hookup last night. You do know that, right?"
"I know." You said before kissing her again.
She put her forehead on yours and held you close as her fingers brushed across your soft skin, making your heart race.
You couldn't possibly be happier than you feel right now and it was all thanks to her; your beautiful girlfriend.
