Important note before reading:

I don't know if you guys remember, but in one of the Extra's I mentioned Quinn's twins Emma and Aiden.

Well, I've changed Emma's name (I totally didn't forget I already have an Emily in this story, and those names are way too similar.) Her name is now Ava.

Ava and Aiden.

Just to let y'all know so it wasn't confusing!!!

I also have exciting news at the bottom....
———

Kodi watched as an eight-year old Oliver fidgeted in front of her and Ella. The poor boy was red-faced and looking down at his feet that were clad in grey socks with dinosaurs on them.

"Ollie, you can tell us anything, you know that," Ella stated gently, her hand running down arm soothingly.

"I know," he whispered. "I'm nervous."

"You don't have to be nervous with us, hun."

"Can we go to Aunt Quinn's?" He asked unsure and his two mothers looked at each other, confused on why he was so nervous to ask that.

"Of course. You didn't need to be nervous to ask that!" His eyes lit up and he yelled out an 'okay' as he ran out of the room.

"Do we appear scary or something? Are we starting to come off as those parents where their kids think you can't ask them anything or we'll bite their heads off? I really hope not!" Ella ranted as she changed to get ready for Quinn's. Kodi stood there unsure, a sad expression on her face. Ella emerged from the closet to her wife still sitting on the bed and went to near in front of her. "What's wrong?"

"You think he's getting my anxiety?" Ella tilted her head, knowing that this was one of Kodi's fears when she had kids.

"He could be..." She started slowly and took her wife's hands in her own, "but, we're here to help him through it if he is."

"You're right," Kodi sighed. "I just really hope that's not the case."

Twenty minutes later, after getting all the other kids ready, Oliver emerged from his room all dressed up, holding one of his bow ties out to his mom.

Oliver was the one kid in his family that likes to dress up. Most of his closet was filled with dress pants, slacks, button down shirts, vests, ties, and some nice shoes.

He likes to dress up for school and whenever they went out. The only time he didn't dress up was if we stayed home or went to visit family, because they would play.

So, when they went to Quinn's, he normally didn't dress up, but today, he wore some nice slacks with a button down and suspenders, he had a jacket on his arm and a bow tie in hand.

"Help?" He asked quietly. Kodi kneeled down to start on this bow tie, knowing how to do it by heart having to learn it for him when he was four after he started wanting to dress up daily.

"What's the special occasion, bud? You never dress up when we go over to Aunt Quinn's," her hands moved fluidly and made the bow tie look perfect.

"Can we get flowers on the way?" Kodi cracked a smile as she seen what was happening. Of course they always seen how Oliver followed Ava around like a lost puppy, doing everything for her. The girl had him wrapped around her little finger and she knew it.

"Of course we can. Are they for Ava?" His cheeks flushed red and he kicked at the ground.

"Maybe," he murmured, his ears turning pink as well. Kodi grinned and kissed his head.

"You look good. Come on, can't keep her waiting." Oliver grinned shyly as he raced to get to the front door.

Once Kodi made it down there, Oliver was standing by the door, bouncing on his toes, thirteen-year old Kaleb sat on the couch, playing on his Switch, and of course the girls were nowhere to be seen.

Eventually Ella emerged, Mila on her hip and Charlie on her trail, keeping up as much as she could.

"Why, don't you look handsome," Ella complimented Oliver who scratched his head, embarrassed.

"Thanks," he murmured.

"We have to go to the flower shop," Kodi whispered to Ella who practically awed when she realized.

After strapping everybody in and making it to the flower shop. It took Oliver twenty minutes to find the 'perfect' flowers.

"They have to be perfect!"

They were beautiful and he even used his allowance to pay for them himself. Kodi made sure to tip the florist well in being patient with her son.

As they got to Quinn's, Kaleb rushed in to hook the switch up their television to play with Aiden, Ella took the girls in, and Kodi stayed back as Oliver tried work up his courage.

"You're gonna do great, okay?" She smoothed out some of his hair as he gripped onto the flowers. He took a deep breath, dusted off his pants, and made sure his bow tie looked good, before putting on a brave face and walked towards the door.

They walked in and already heard the chaos of Aiden and Kaleb. Oliver walked to the kitchen where he heard voices and that's where he found Ella, his sisters, Aunt Quinn, and Uncle James. No Ava in sight.

Oliver took a deep breath before going up to James.

"Uncle James?" As Kodi went up to Ella, the blonde gave her a look as to say she told the two what Oliver was going to do.

James looked down at Oliver sternly and Kodi internally rolled her eyes at the man as he tried to intimidate her son.

"Yes?"

"I was wondering if I could take Ava on a date?"

"And what would this date entail?"

"Uhm, well, I was thinking going to the park and getting ice cream afterwards, but if she doesn't like that, then we can do whatever she wants." James hummed in thought.

"Will you treat her good?"

"The best!"

James kneeled down in front of him and held out his hand.

"Make sure to always bring her flowers and keep her happy." Oliver beamed and shook his hand happily.

"I will!" Oliver left the kitchen to try and find the girl. He heard another presence behind him and groaned seeing it was Charlie. "Charlie! Go somewhere else, I have to ask Ava something."

His six year old sister frowned.

"I wanna see her, too!"

"You will in a little bit. Let me talk with her first, okay?" Charlie's lip trembled and trudged off back to her parents in defeat.

Oliver felt bad, but it's just for a couple of minutes!

He went up to Ava's bedroom door and took a deep breath before knocking. As the door opened, Oliver's breath was stolen.

"H-hi," he stuttered and thrusted his hand full of flowers at her. She took them, shocked.

"Hi, Ollie. Why do you look fancy?" She tilted her head and then smiled. It made Oliver's heart feel weird and he had to stop himself from grabbing at his chest.

"Uhm, I wanted to see if uh..." Ava waited patiently, knowing how he got nervous sometimes, "a date. With me. To the playground and get ice cream."

"Sure!" Ava chirped with a smile and Oliver bounced on his toes in excitement as his cheeks burned.

"Really? Awesome! When would you like to go?"

"Now!" Ava grinned and ran past him. Oliver looked down at himself and ran after her with a frown.

"But, I need to change first!"

The adults all grinned as Ava came bounding into the kitchen with a smile on her face. Charlie's mood brightened and left her mother's embrace to go into Ava's.

"Momma! I need clothes to change into, Ava wants to go now," he rushed at Kodi. "I didn't bring any!"

"I'm sure you could borrow some of Aiden's," Quinn said, "you're the same size."

Oliver sprinted out of the room as Ava giggled and twirled Charlie around.

The parents came to a mutual decision that two of them would go to the park with Oliver and Ava and the other two would stay here with the rest of the kids, wanting the two young love birds to have their own time playing at the park.

Kodi and Ella knew that if Charlie went with them, she'd cling to Ava and follow them around and Oliver wouldn't be too happy.

So, after Oliver changed into some playground appropriate clothes. Kodi and James took the two to the park and watched them play.

Oliver helping Ava up the stairs with his hand, trying to be a gentleman, instead of racing up the steps like they normally do.

"God, they grow up fast," James sighed out. They sat on the park bench with soda in their hands.

"They really do," Kodi murmured and smiled as Oliver met her eyes with the widest grin.

Hey! It's been a while!

Y'all, I've actually started a sequel for this book, but it's not any of the ones I had suggested in my Sequel chap😩

I have no motivation to write those. Who knows, I may eventually, but for right now, I have the motivation and have started writing one of the kids own story ;)

It won't be out anytime soon that's for sure, I only have one chapter written.

But I really am hoping to eventually get it done.

I hope you're all doing well!!!!
