Lyra's POV
PRESENT
"So you actually died?" He asked me
"To the world, yes. Thats how i was pronounced legally dead" i explained
"But the bomb went off, it blasted. How could you possibly survive that?" He asked me, his face covered in shock
I smirked, leaning closer on the table
"I was never in that car"

As soon as the bomb ticked off, i looked at my car, that was parked a few meters away from Andrew's
"Are you okay now?" He asked me getting in his car, and i nodded- until that thin beep reached my ears
"Can you hear it?" I asked him impatiently and he gave me a clueless look
"There's a bomb" i said and he stiffened
"Is it-"
"Its on my car" i held his arm as we stared at my parked car, each of us holding onto our hearts
The timer finally went out and the car blasted into nothing
The pieces fell here and there, some even got onto Andrew's car and his glass
"God" he said as he thought the same thing as me
'If only i was in there'
"Lets head home quick" Andrew said and I didn't protest
The car roared out of the area and we soon made our way to the mansion
I spent the rest of the night in my room on my bed- crying hysterically
I could've died. Did i really deserve a death like that? My brain thought as i recalled how my car blasted into nothing. I could've been a part of that nothing.
Suddenly, someone's faint pleadings echoed in my ear and i stiffened
I relaxed a little when i realized they had gone away, and got comfortable on the bed
"Lyra" the person's voice came back and grew louder and louder
I could practically see the flashbacks now
The fire- the chaos- the door and the hand that was banging hard on the door, begging me to pull them out
"Lyra" they shouted again and i scrunched my nose in deep regret
"Im coming" i muttered, trying to get out of my escape
I ran to them- ran for what seemed like hours
But everytime i thought i was getting close- i wasn't
They kept farthing away from me and I couldn't do anything to save them
Suddenly, i got up
"Oh shit" i placed a hand on my forehead to calm my pounding head
It was all a dream
As my feelings got replaced for fear to anger, a plan had seemed to form in my head
I quickly grabbed a pen and a notebook, then sat down
It took me a while, and a lot of planning to construct it
But as the new day finally set in the sky, i completed the draft and set it on my table
Tired as hell, i went to my bed soon after and slept for the day
Someone's furious knocking on the door woke me up, and I annoyedly got up
I opened the door to find Andrew, he looked worried
"Whats wrong" i asked him confused and he took in my sleepy state
"You're really sleeping?" He asked me with utter shock and i blinked in response
I walked him inside the room and closed the door behind me, he sat on the couch
"I have been thinking-"
"I have a plan" i said and Andrew looked at me
"What is it?" He asked
"We will fake my own death"
