After a few days in Ecruteak, the four of them begin to embark on their next journey towards Olivine. Once they reach Olivine, they find out that the gym leader is actually not available for battles.
Disappointed to learn that the Olivine Gym leader was unavailable for battles, the group gathered outside the gym, contemplating their next move. Ren sighed, frustration evident on her face.
"Well, this is a setback," Ren muttered, crossing her arms. "We came all this way to challenge the gym, and now we're stuck."
Mayu nodded in agreement. "It's unfortunate, but we can't change the circumstances. We'll have to adapt and come up with a new plan."
Raiden, always the optimist, chimed in. "Maybe we can find some other trainers to battle around Olivine to keep our skills sharp. We can treat it as a training opportunity until the gym leader becomes available."
Riyu, who had been quiet for a while, spoke up. "I heard there's a beautiful lighthouse in Olivine. Maybe we can go check it out while we wait. It could be fun!"
Ren smiled at Riyu's suggestion. "That sounds like a great idea. Let's explore Olivine and make the most of our time here. We can continue our training and enjoy the sights."
As the group arrived at the Olivine Lighthouse, they were greeted by a worried-looking Jasmine, the Olivine Gym leader. She explained the situation to them, revealing that Amphy, the beloved Ampharos responsible for keeping the lighthouse lights active, had fallen ill.
"I've been trying my best to take care of Amphy," Jasmine explained with a hint of concern in her voice. "But it's been difficult. Amphy's condition is deteriorating, and I'm running out of ideas on how to help."
Ren stepped forward, her empathetic nature kicking in. "Is there anything we can do to assist, Jasmine? We want to help."
Jasmine looked at the group, a glimmer of hope in her eyes. "Actually, there might be something. The medicine I need to treat Amphy's illness. It's called the Secret Potion. It can only be found deep in the nearby Cianwood City."
Mayu, always ready for an adventure, spoke up. "We'll find the Secret Potion for you, Jasmine. Leave it to us!"
"What do you intend to do with Amphy while we get Secret Potion from Cianwood?",Mayu asked.
Jasmine smiled warmly at Mayu's question. "I'll continue to care for Amphy here at the Olivine Lighthouse while you all head to Cianwood. I have faith in your abilities to retrieve the Secret Potion and I trust that you'll return as quickly as possible."
Ren nodded, feeling reassured by Jasmine's confidence in them. "Don't worry, Jasmine. We'll be back before you know it."
Raiden chimed in, "Yeah, and we'll make sure to bring the Secret Potion back safely so Amphy can recover completely."
At night, through her hotel window, Ren seems to have found some lights in the sea. Intrigued by the shimmering lights in the sea, Ren decides to follow the source of the glow. She tiptoes silently, not wanting to disturb the Chinchou as they create their mesmerizing display of bioluminescence.
As she gets closer, she notices a group of Chinchou swimming gracefully just beneath the water's surface. She takes out of her Scizor and captures a Chinchou herself.
"Guys I have an idea!",Mayu said. "Let's hear it!",Ren said. "How about we tell Jasmine to use the light coming from these Chinchou's at night?",she said.
Raiden and Ren exchange curious glances, intrigued by Mayu's suggestion. "That's an interesting idea," Raiden replies. "Using the natural light from the Chinchou to illuminate the lighthouse could be a unique and sustainable solution."
"Yeah, it might work!" Ren adds. "It would save Amphy from having to exert itself, and it's a win-win situation for both Amphy and the Chinchou."
With the plan in mind, they decide to visit Jasmine and share Mayu's idea. They explain how the Chinchou are causing the beautiful lights in the sea at night and propose using their light as an alternative energy source for the lighthouse.

"I can't believe it. What could have caused such a catastrophe?" another person responds, clearly shocked by the news.
Mayu, Ren, and Raiden exchange concerned glances. The mention of Cinnabar Island brings back memories of their time in Kanto and the knowledge that it was once a vibrant place filled with scientific research and historical significance.
"I hope everyone on the island is safe," Raiden says, his voice filled with worry.
"It's tragic to think of the loss of the research facilities and the Pokemon inhabiting the island," Mayu adds, her tone somber.
Ren, with a furrowed brow, contemplates the situation. "We must find out more about what happened. The destruction of Cinnabar Island could have far-reaching consequences."
As the ferry arrives in Cianwood City, the news of Cinnabar Island's tragedy continues to spread. The atmosphere is filled with a mix of sadness and concern among the residents and visitors. The group decides to inquire further about the incident and gather as much information as possible.
They approach a local resident who seems well-informed about recent events. "Excuse me, can you tell us what happened to Cinnabar Island?" Ren asks, her voice filled with genuine curiosity.
The resident takes a moment to compose himself before responding. "There was an unfortunate accident at the research facilities on Cinnabar Island. It led to a massive explosion, causing extensive damage to the island and its surroundings. Thankfully, emergency services were able to evacuate most of the people in time, but the island's infrastructure and the valuable research conducted there have been lost."
The news weighs heavily on the group's hearts. They feel a deep sense of sorrow for the loss of scientific knowledge and the disruption of the lives of those who called Cinnabar Island home.
"Oh dear, Raiden your mother? Doesn't she live in Cinnabar?", Ren asked. "Raiden are you alright?", Mayu asks him. "I don't know...",he said. "I don't know what to feel right now, I guess?",Raiden said. "Everything will be fine!", Riyu said to him.
Raiden takes a deep breath and nods, trying to hold back his emotions. "I don't know Riyu.",he said. "What do you mean?", Riyu asked. "I just don't know what to feel.",he said.
Mayu puts a comforting hand on Raiden's shoulder. "It's okay to feel confused and overwhelmed, Raiden. This news must be hitting you hard, especially with your mother living there," she says gently.
Ren chimes in, "We're here for you, Raiden. Whatever you're feeling, just know that you can talk to us about it. We're a team, and we'll face whatever comes our way together."
Raiden takes a moment to gather his thoughts before speaking again. "I appreciate that, guys. I guess I'm just worried about my mom and everyone else on the island. I hope they made it out safely," he admits, his voice tinged with concern.
"We'll find out more about what happened as we continue our journey," Mayu reassures him. "Let's focus on getting the Secret Potion for Jasmine first. Once we have that, we can take some time to get in touch with your mom and make sure she's alright."
Riyu nods enthusiastically. "Yeah, let's get that Secret Potion and help Amphy so that we can bring back the lighthouse's light!"
Raiden takes a deep breath and smiles faintly. "You're right. Let's stay focused on our mission. Once we've done that, I'll reach out to my mom and check on her."
