Episode-7
Amber’s POV:
I
gulped, the police said, “If you are in trouble or kidnapped here, we are here
to help.” Now one of the officer got his gun out.
I said, “my father passed away, I didn’t
knew it… and I was angry on dad, so I acted like a brat when they send me a
car.. I am not kidnapped…” the police looked at my face and asked again, “ you
sure?..” I just replied, “I am staying here on my will.”
Then the police put his gun in his pocket
and then said to me, “ok, Miss. then call the old lady to inform her…” I
nodded… after the police let I turned to the phone in the hall and dialed the
restaurant number, I remember it. they answered it I can tell it’s Miss.
Samantha. I said, “Hello.. this is Amber..”
I heard Miss. Samantha, “God! kids are you
safe.. where are you? if you are in trouble we will call the cobs.. don’t
worry” I want to smile, someone is worried about me when they are not related
to me.
I said, “I am fine… my dad passed away so I
came to his house, and I decided I am going to stay here… sorry for leaving the
job like this.” I didn’t explain anything
in deep to Miss. Samantha, I just answered her few question and when she was
satisfied I ended the call, they call police thinking I was in danger… someone
cares…
I was disturbed by Edward running in
through the main door. He saw me and rushed to me taking me in embrace. I can
feel his fast heart beat, somehow my heart caught the speed.. I felt Edwards
hand around my head like he was pulling me close to him. what is this
feeling?.... this is different… really different.
He separated and I can see regret on his
face for embracing me… he said, “sorry…” he is saying sorry for embracing me,
he regrets this hug, but I feel terrible by his words
He asked, “why were police here?... did they
did anything to you?” he is worried just because dad asked him to take care of
me. he really doesn’t care for me from his heart. this hurts.
I replied, “The restaurant owner where I
work though I was missing… so she complained. I called her and told the police
I am staying here..” he looked at me I
can see instant relief, he looked at me for a moment and then diverted his
gaze.
He said, “I should go..” stop!.. I want to
stop him but why… I feel lonely here, I am just comfortable around him…. If he
leaves I am alone here again, I miss dad and mom, I hated dad all this time but
after he left this place turned into prison…
Edward was about to walk out but he turned
to again, he looked at me and said, “actually there is something I need to give
you..” he walked in again and said follow me. I stood there as he got to the
stairs, he turned to me and said, “what are you waiting for?” I let a small nod
and walked behind him. soon, I found myself in front of dad’s room, its closed,
I never entered this room because I don’t want to.
Edward opened the door and said, “your
mom’s belongings are still there… have a look” I stepped back, I don’t want to
go, I am scared. I met Edwards eyes meet mine as I shake my head in ‘no’, I
can’t go in. Edward whispered, “Amber..” he grabbed my hand and pulled me in
the room. I felt him grabbing my shoulder and whispered in my ears, “Amber, be
strong…”
