EXT. QUIDDITCH PITCH - DAY
Visibility is low. Players scatter everywhere.
Lee Jordan:...and Slytherin is up forty to ten. Alica with the quaffle!
The Slytherins all smile and cheer. Some of the other house start making bets.
Alica spins through the blizzard, trying desperately to see. Two shapes emerge from the snow. They are Grabbe and Goyle, the Slytherin beaters. Both of them take a swing at her. She twist's completely around on her broom and the clubs swish harmlessly past.
"I know that's my house but surely that's a foul" Lucius states, getting many nods of agreement.
She pushes forward to the Slytherin goals and hurtles the quaffle. Blocked by the Slytherin keeper!
The Gryffindors groan.
Below, in the stands, there is a groan from the Gryffindor side. From the Slytherins, there is a chant.
Slytherins: Weasley is our King, Weasley is our King. He always lets the quaffle in, Weasley is our King!
"Now that I think of it, that is quite a good chant" Ron chuckles, "and guess who made it" smirked Draco. "Clearly not you as you was on the pitch" Athena deadpans, "you also ain't that smart to make up a chant like that". Draco gasps and clutches his chest "how dare you! I am smart". Athena stares at him and shakes her head. Draco then throws a pillow at her face, Athena throws a shoe at him. Smacking him right in the nose. People watch in amusement.
Athena pulls up near r to Ron, who is looking grimly sick to his stomach.
Athena: Just ignore them, Ron!
Ron doesn't acknowledge her. Several Slytherins, in possession of the quaffle, bear down on the Gryffindor goals. They throw the quaffle. Ron dives and misses. A loud GONG sounds. Another groan from the Gryffindors.
The Gryffindors all wince and groan.
Lee Jordan (v.o.): Another ten points to Slytherin. The score is now fifty-ten in favour of Slytherin.
Malfoy pulls up on his broom near Ron as well.
Malfoy: I should thank you, Weasley. You're definitely our best player!
"He's better than you ferret" "fuck off Thena".
He laughs. Just then, the snitch blasts past Malfoy. He takes off in pursuit. Athena rockets after him at top speed, ignoring the bite of the snow against her face.
"This isn't the best weather to play quidditch" Alice says. All quidditch teams look at her and nod. "You are quite right, as much as I love quidditch, these weather conditions aren't the safest" Regulus said, worriedly.
She and Malfoy give chase, following the snitch at top speed. Malfoy is still far closer than Athena. Then the snitch banks sharply. Both Draco and Athena turn with it, though now Athen has pulled even with Draco. They are inches from the snitch. They reach with all their might.
Athena's hand inches out in front of Draco and closes around the snitch. Dracos fingers scrabble on the back of Athena's gloves hand. The crowd goes wild. Athena straightens, triumphant.
The Gryffindors go wild, banging their hands on the tables and shouting. The Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs cheer whilst some Slytherins politely clap.
Behind her, without warning, Crabbe emerges from the blizzard and cracks Athena across the back of the head with his beaters club.
"Oi you fat bitch" James shouts. Lily gasps.
Athena slumps forward and nose-dives into the pitch, rolling to a stop looking dazed. There is a groan of sympathy from the crowd. The other Gryffindors and two Slytherins land and run to Athena.
Hermione: Athena, are you all right?
She is helped to her feet by Fred and George.
Draco: Bet you loved that, Potter! Saved Weasleys neck, didn't you?
"Draco you might wanna run mate" Ron winced, looking at the look Narcissa was giving Draco.
The Gryffindors and Slytherins ignore him.
Draco: I've never seen a worse Keeper! Maybe we should add some more verses to our little song. About his filthy mother!
Everyone glared at Draco. Molly looked like she wanted to cry whilst Narcissa went bright red. She stood up, pulled Draco by the ear and dragged him out of the hall.
George tries to leap at Draco. Theo and Fred hold him back.
Theo: That's enough Malfoy
Draco: Shut up Nott! You blood traitor. How about a verse about his pathetic loser of a father too!
Fred attempts to charge Draco too. Blaise and other Gryffindors are restraining them now.
Draco: But then, you like the Weasleys, don't you? How can you stand the stink? I guess it remind you of your own dear mother!
Now it was Lily's time to nearly cry. James and her friend wrap her into a hug.
Athena slowly turns round. An evil glint in her eye. She smirks and run full out at Draco, who looks startled as Athena leaps at him, crushing her fist into Dracos jaw and knocking him to the ground. George breaks free of the Gryffindors and follows, hitting Malfoy too. Athena leaps onto Draco, hitting him again and again.
"Girl you are going to rearrange his face!" Gasps Marlene.
Madam Hooch: Impedimenta!
"Oh so now you arrive, where were you before huh?" James sarcastically says. Said teacher looks down.
She blasts Athena and George with her spell, knocking them off of Malfoy. McGonagall storms onto the pitch, Gryffindor scarf flapping wildly in the wind.
"Uh oh"
McGonagall: [Shouting] What on earth do you two think you're doing?
Athena rolls to her feet and goes for Malfoy again. Madam Hooch stands between them, her wand pointed directly at Athena.
Hooch: Don't make me stupidly you, Potter!
Athena: Do it then
Madam Hooch falters at Athena's glare. Athena, stops, breathing hard, directing her glare at Malfoy. Who is curling in a ball, bleeding and crying.
"Merlins saggy tits, she looks evil" Sirius says, making lily and James glare at him.
McGonagall comes right up to Athena and grabs her hard by the elbow. She finally turns her attention to her. She is pale and grim-faced.
Minnie: My office. Now
INT. MCGONAGALLS OFFICE - DAY
George and Athena stand in front of Minnie's desk. She stands on the other side of it.
Minnie: In all my thirty-nine years at this school, I have never seen such a disgusting display
Athena: Malfoy provoked us
Minnie: Of course he wanted to provoke you! He'd just lost!
She stares at both of them.
Minnie: I cannot express in word the disappointment I feel right now
The door opens and Umbridge steps into the room, smiling sickly.
"Here we go" sighed Dorcas.
Minnie: What is it, Dolores?
Umbitch: I thought you might need some additional authority in dealing with these two
Minnie: You thought wrong. Now kind,y remove yourself from my office
"Ooooo Minnie doesn't like Umbitch" sang Sirius. "Who does like her" Minnie rolled her eyes.
She turns back to George and Athena.
Minnie: Now, I don't care what Malfoy said. Your performance out there was shameful. Fifty points from Gryffindor, and I'm giving you both a weeks worth of detentions
Umbitch: I hardly think that's an adequate punishment for this
Athena: Nobody gives a shit WHAT YOU THINK! NOW PISS OFF
Minnie: Athena!
Athena: No! I'm sorry Minnie but I've had enough. I don't give a shit if your high inquisitor or high as a kite. You are a piece of shit. No one likes you. You are abusive. And I'll be damned if I have to listen to your voice. If I get expelled, so be it. At least I don't have to put up with your bullshit anymore
"Ooo she snapped" Bellatrix giggled. "Oh no, this ain't Athena snapping. No where near" Hermione said.
Minnie: What do you mean abusive, Athena?
Athena shows Minnie her hand. Minnie stares down before looking up at Umbitch with fire in her eyes.
Minnie: Get. Out. Now
Umbitch scurries out of the office.
INT. GRYFFINDOR COMMON ROOM - NIGHT
The atmosphere in the common room is somber. The Gryffindor team sits by itself, dejected and depressed.
Angelina: I can't believe it...three players banned for life in one day...
"BANNED FOR LIFE" James shrieks, "yeah me, Fred and George all had our brooms take away too" Athena shrugged. "BROOMS TAKEN AWAY" James shouts before fainting. Just then Narcissa and Draco come back in, Draco looking paler then ever.
Hermione: I can't believe Umbridge didn't tell you guys that you were banned
George: [Chuckling] Umbridge didn't even get to batter an eyelid before Athena blew up on her...it was fucking brilliant
Ron: I'm going to resign
Athena is slumped low in a chair.
Athena: You can't!
Ron: Im horrible! I should never have joined
Athena: If you quit, we'll be out four players!
Ron looks miserable.
Ron: This is the worst day of my life
INT. GRYFFINDOR DORM - NIGHT
Athena lies in bed. She dreams again...
INT. DEPARTMENT OF MYSTERIES - NIGHT
We float along a dark corridor, inches from the floor. We come to another corridor and peer down it. It appears empty.
A great Python of a snake slithers down the empty corridor. It slowly makes its way past many doors, until it reaches, at last, another, larger door.
Behind it, an invisibility cloak falls to the floor in a shimmer of silver. Mr Weasley stands, drawing his wand. He fires a golden jinx at the snake. He misses. The snake strikes. Mr Weasley screams.
Molly hugs her husband closer, whilst the Weasley children at share a look.
INT. GRYFFINDOR DORM - NIGHT
Athena yells at the top of her lungs, eyes tightly closed. She makes biting motions with his mouth, snarling madly. A seizure takes her.
"I can't watch" Narcissa puts her hands over her face.
She screams in rage and horror, her entire bed shaking with her thrashing.
INT. DEPARTMENT OF MYSTERIES - NIGHT
The snake strikes Mr Weasley again and again. Blood splatters against the walls and floor. Mr Weasley screams again.
The Weasley children have tears running down their faces whilst Molly sobs in her husband's arms.
INT. GRYFFINDOR DORM - NIGHT
Ron, Seamus, Dean and Neville leap out of their beds. Athena screams again, an unearthly sound of horror, anguish, and blood lust. Ron and Neville sprint to Athena's bed.
Neville: [Worried and panicking] What's wrong with her!
Athena screams again. Her eyes snap open and they are pure white, without pupils. She makes the biting motion again, thrashing wildly.
Ron: Get McGonagall! Go!
Neville turns and runs out of the dorms.
INT. WEASLEY HOME - NIGHT
Mrs Weasley sits in her living room drinking a mug of tea. On the other side of the room stands the Weasley clock. It chimes. She looks up and then stands, moving closer to it. Mr Weasleys hand grinds over to the hour labelled'Moral Peril'. The mug of tea shatters on the floor. Mrs Weasley clutches at her mouth in dread and horror.
Nearly everyone in the hall, felt sick to their stomachs or had tears running down their faces.
INT. DEPARTMENT OF MYSTERIES - NIGHT
The snake strikes again. Mr Weasley, eyes flickering everywhere and seeing nothing, staggers into the wall and falls to the ground, leaving a bloody smear to mark his descent.
The snake abandons the door and slithers away at top speed.
INT. GRYFFINDOR DORM - NIGHT
Athena still struggles madly.
Ron: Thena! ATHENA!
Athena blinks, and her eyes are normal. She comes to herself, only to let out a shriek of burning agony. She clutches at her scar, eyes crossing and unable to focus.
She rolls off the end and onto the floor, where she writhers in abject pain. Neville returns with McGonagall.
Minnie: Potter!
She runs to her, thrusting her candle into Neville's hands. She falls to her knees next to Athena and tries to touch her. Her hand touches her skin and Athena helps as if burnt. Minnie backs off.
Athena vomits all over the floor. Taking a step back, Minnie draws her wand, looking uncertain what she will do with it in any case. Then, as suddenly as it had begun, it stops. Athena slumps over, unmoving. Minnie is at her side in an instant. She rolls her over. Her eyes are closed.
Lily turns her head away from the screen and sniffles.
Minnie: Wake up, Athena. Wake up. Please...
Athena's eyes open. She sits up, looking frantic.
Athena: Mr Weasleys been attacked!
Minnie: You dreamed this, Potter?
Athena: No, I saw it happen! I...I was there...
Ron is looking pale.
Minnie: You're sure this happened, Athena?
Athena: [Shouting] Yes! We've got to do something or he will die!
Minnie: We're going to see the Headmaster, Athena [pause] Weasley, you'd best come too
"I think we should have a small break" Minnie stated.
