You, the one known to be the trainer of mystery, brutality and undefeated have been selected to join the Master Class Tournament to see if you can become the world's "Pokémon Master," because of the many victories in tournaments, you're show of strength and we believe you'll bring excitement into the battles making them intense and incredible. This tournament will be located in the Pasio region, where it will brings the world's greatest trainers, gym leaders, kahunas, elite four members, frontier brains and champions. We hope to see you here and if you do come please do not cause conflict or aggression - Charles Goodshow

Mask stares quietly at the letter with his Pokémon sharing the same silent expression which makes Sneasler and Ursaluna stop fighting, as they turned towards the two that kept quiet until Mask start slowly laughing

His sinister and loud cackles are heard through the night sky before automatically stopping in an instant, as we go back down and see Mask stand silently again
Mask: *folds the letter and puts it away in his coat* It would seem that the time has finally come my friends *takes out three pokeballs*
Mask returns Ursaluna and Sneasler into their pokeballs before turning towards Kleavor who had a large grin on his face which made Mask chuckle before returning Kleavor in his pokeball
Mask:You better have trained brat *looks up and straight at the moon* because I sure have and I'll be coming at you with no mercy *looks away and start leaving the area* I've been to merciful with you and the others that are like you *grabs another wooden pokeball and stares at it while he walks through an alleyway* the gloves are off *puts his pokeball away and pulls his gloves down* figuratively speaking of course this gloves are too soft and comfy
Before he could come out of the alleyway and show himself into the lights of the city Mask teleports away with the last thing being heard from him is an echoing chuckle

Location: Pokemon League HQ, control room
We find ourselves in a room where it is only lighten by blue lights that surround the room and the light of the large screen in front of the twenty workers that were in that room typing about anything in there computers

Footsteps could be heard entering the room, but everyone was too busy that they did not respond or notice the individual that came inside the room, so everyone just kept working until
*Ahem!*
Everyone stops working and all turn towards the one who grabbed their attention, and it was the director himself, Charles Goodshow who stands there with his hands on his back looking at everyone that's in the room
Charles:The letters have been sent, the trainers have been chosen, the region is ready and all we need is a stadium
They all listened and all nodded there heads, as determination can be seen in their eyes
Charles:You all know you're jobs, you all know what to do, so then people . . . . . . . . let's give the people of this world a tournament they'll
Workers:Yes sir!!
All workers quickly turned to the screens of their computers and immediately started working, as they did Charles Goodshow smiles at them seeing how like him they also want to being something incredibly to the Pokémon world, he looks towards the screen that shows the Pasio region's location in where they'll built the stadiums
Charles:Here we go
As he looks at the screen we change location or change faces, as we now see Kukui walking back home with a frown on his face meaning one thing, his still hasn't gotten over about Ash disappearing or maybe it could be something else, but while he walked up to the steps of his home he stops since he heard a familiar noise behind him which makes him turn around and see a memory of his past, one where he sees Ash, Pikachu, Rockruff and himself playing on the beach, this sight makes Kukui smile warmly seeing a memory
Kukui:Good times
The door to his home opens and out comes bursting a little boy and a Rowlet who follows the boy
???:Dad! Dad! Dad! Dad!
Kukui turns around and catches the boy that goes in for the tackling hug while the Rowlet lands on the railing looking at the two with a smile
Kukui: *chuckles* Hey there son, have you been a good boy while I was away?
The boy pulls away and looks up at his father with a bright smiles while the Rowlet decides to get off the railing and land on the boys head
???:Yep!
Lei
Lei:What about you dad? is you're idea of the big and ginormous tournament going to happen?
Kukui: *rubs his head* Yep, you'll be seeing a lot of strong trainers Lei
Lei:Yay! *jumps in excitement* you hear that Rowlet? we're going to the see the Master class tournament!
Rowlet:Rooow! Roooww! *flaps his wings happily*
The two started running around happily while Kukui watch them with a smile, just the sight of his son running with the Rowlet gives Kukui the sight of seeing Ash and Pikachu running happily together which makes his fist clench a little, but is soon snapped out his thoughts when he felt arms wrap themselves around him
???:Hey honey
Kukui smiles, as he glances to his right and sees his wife
Professor Burnet
Kukui:Hey *smiles*
Both professors give each other a quick kiss on the lips before turning to their son that plays with his friend the Pokémon Rowlet, as Burnet chuckles seeing that
Burnet:Well this brings back memories
Kukui:Hmm?
Burnet: *she looks at him with a smile* He's only five and yet every time I see him play with Rowlet, it always reminds me of two amazing guys that are in this family
Kukui: *chuckles* Can I guess one of them?
Burnet:Hmmmm~ nope!
Kukui:Aawww come on
Burnet chuckled, as she lets him go and holds his hands while leaning her head on his shoulder while he leans his head on hers, they stayed quiet for bit looking at their son before Burnet spoke
Burnet:I saw that look you had before Lei came to greet you
Kukui: *I sigh* It's just is hard you know, not hearing from him or seeing him specially with how long it's been since . . . . he left the note
Flash back, two days after the Mask incident begin
We change from Kukui and Burnet standing on the steps of their home to seeing them sleeping together on a bed, but Kukui is soon woken up when he hears something coming from downstairs
Kukui: *yawns and slowly gets out of bed* Don't tell me they went off to train again
Burnet stayed on the bed while Kukui got out the room and got to the living room where his eyes widen, as he sees a hooded individual returning Ash's Alolan pokemon to their pokeballs
Kukui:Hey! Stop right there!
The hooded figure gets alerted by Kukui's presence, and after returning the last Pokémon they sprinted out of the house with Kukui following behind them
Kukui:Give those back right now!
Kukui was starting to get angry and was going to summon one his Pokémon, but a little too late for him to do that because the hooded figure was then grabbed by an orange blur that swoops pass Kukui and flies away with the hooded figure who gets on the it's back
Kukui:Oh no you don't! come out brave—
Kukui stops himself from summoning bravery because the hooded figure lowered down their hood revealing Ash who looks back at Kukui with a solemn look
Ash:I'm sorry
Kukui was confused, worried and concerned wondering why Ash would have done this and what is he sorry for, as he sees him disappear in the distance
Kukui:A-Ash why?
Burnet:Kukui!
Kukui quickly turned around hearing the voice of his wife seeing her on the balcony of the house with tears in her eyes holding a note
Burnet:It's Ash!
Kukui's eyes widen again and sprints back to his house, hugging his wife and taking the note
Burnet: *hugs him back with her head on his shoulder crying* So-Something has happened to our boy
Kukui: *Looks at her and then at the note* "Dear professors Kukui and Burnet—
"I'm sorry for dropping by like that I wish to had reunited with you two in better circumstances, but something terrible has happened to me after my victory in the ultra class, a man who only wishes to harm me and my Pokémon through battle is coming after me and I rather not have you two or anyone else of my friends get harmed because of me, So I took Lycanroc and the others because we're gonna train for awhile, I don't know for how long, but it's gonna be for some time. I'm sorry they had to this like this but I care about you two too much to bring that man to you're doorstep, you guys are my second family, my alolan family. Love you guys and I hope to see you two and Lei when the time is right, goodbye.

Kukui looked at the note with tears in his eyes since he was not there for Ash who is like son to him and Burnet who cries with her husband
Kukui:Ash . . . . be careful . . . . . wherever you go . . . . . be careful and comeback to us

Kukui:I just miss him
Burnet:And I do too, but you heard him he'll be back *nudges him* we just gotta wait
Kukui:Yeah
They turn to Lei who's playing with Rowlet bringing smiles to them
Kukui:I'll be needed in Pasio in a few days, make sure everything's will be all set
Burnet:How long will me and Lei have you before you have to go
Kukui:This week completely *I smile* I can't just leave until I just comeback that'll make me look like a bad dad
Burnet: *giggles* I'm sure that even if you do that you'd still be dad of the year
Kukui: *chuckle* That makes me feel better
And true to his word Kukui stayed with his family for week before taking the next plan straight to the Pasio region, as once he arrive construction had begun with one of the smaller stadiums

And in two months, day in and day out, from morning to night, sun up from sun down, the construction went rapidly into making this event, as the minute one stadium was finished they would have start working on the next stadium until at the end everything looked perfected
Charles:It looks incredible!
We hear Charles Goodshow's voice, as we get a cloud high view that shows all five stadium, four small but large stadiums that have Kalos design and one gigantic stadium in the middle that looks like a Galar stadium with a grassy football field as the battlefield
Scott:Just what everyone will expect of Ultra Master Class tournament
We hear Scott's voice has we go to the VIP area of the middle stadium, there we see Charles and Scott looking down at the green battlefield
Charles:Has Kukui already left?
Scott:Yep
Charles:Alright, and what of our star is he coming?
Charles turns to Scott and sees the mysterious director of the battle frontier smirk at him meaning that his question has been answered
Charles: *chuckles* Good hehe very good *turns to the field* this truly will be the greatest event to have ever happened in Pokémon history
Scott:Let's make it a good one
Charles:If won't just be good, it's going to be fantastic!
Scott:Shall I send the message
Charles:Yes, in one week I want this place to fill with the amazing people of the world
Scott:Got it *nods* and if business is done here I'll be taking my leave mister Goodshow, see ya in one week
Charles doesn't say anything but waves at Scott who walks out of the room while Charles stays looking at the stadium already imaging the many great battles this tournament will bring
One week later

The Pasio region, a large region that brings a combination of many biomes together to make a beautiful land for Pokémon to live in, as a familiar girl's voice is heard looking out the widow of an airplane

Bonnie, one of the friends Ash traveled the Kalos region with and up rising Pokémon trainer who's traveled for some time in this five years becoming the strong trainer she always wanted to be
Bonnie:Look Dedenne!
One her shoulder was her trusty partner and best friend, the electric and fairy type Pokémon

Bonnie:Look Clemont! look!
Scooting beside her was her older brother and one of Kalos gym leaders, Ash's other friend and traveling companion of Kalos and the genius inventor

Clemont:Wow, I've seen the images, but seeing this region with my own eyes it's truly a sight to hold
Bonnie:I know right, and look! there's the tournament where we're going to compete in
Bonnie points at where the five stadiums are which even from a distance you can see that there's a lot of people already forming up in filling the place
Bonnie:Pokemon world be ready, Bonnie's here! and she's going to win the hole thing!
Dedenne:Dedenenei!!
Clemont sweat drop at her little sisters imagination and chuckles before turning the left seeing the other companion of Ash in Kalos and someone that loves him very much, she's a Pokémon coordinator and Kalos Queen of Kalos

Clemont frown seeing his friend being in deep thought, as he knows what she's thinking about

Flash Back, five years ago begin
We find Serena in a familiar path, a path that leads to Ash's hometown and the town she meet the boy she come to love
Serena:Pallet town *smiles* it's been so long
Serena continued walking towards the town before noticing smoke coming from where one would find Professor Oak's lab
Serena: *thoughts* Wait smoke? then that would mean, Fire!
Serena begins to sprint towards Oak's lab, as once she arrives she sees water type Pokémon turning off the flames with help from Misty's own water types and Dawn's Pipplup and on the side talking is Professor Oak, Tracey, Brock, Misty, Dawn and Delia
Brock:—e need to know about this guy
Prof. Oak:It's dangerous, this Mask individual is someone that that hides his tracks and is full of mystery
Misty:He hurting Ash! both physically and mentally, we can't just let this guy keep going after him
Tracey:But what are we supposed to do? you saw how he battled, heck! he didn't even said a single command and his Pokémon still battled like he did
Misty:He can't take all of us! and why are you against this Tracey? don't you want to bring that guy payback for what he did to Ash
Tracey:I do, but Ash wouldn't us to this when the reason he left in the first place was because his trying to protect us Misty!!
Dawn:Tracey's right guys, even from a distance I could tell he still had more Pokémon on him
Misty:I don't care! this mask freak! was hitting Ash and made him run away for who knows how long!
Serena:Run away?
Everyone got silent, as they all turned around and saw Serena there, eyes that were about to cry, hands shaking in horror and face that shows disbelief
Serena:Wha-What do you mean Ash ran . . . . away
Prof. Oak:Serena
Serena look at them heartbroken for sone reason and the one that goes to comfort her is Delia who wraps her arms around Serena who starts to cry on her shoulder
Delia:Sssshh Ssshh it's okay let it all out dear
This were the worse news she could have ever heard in her live and now she had to live five years without hearing anything about the boy she likes

She could only wonder where he is, what has he done and if he knows that she's become Kalos queen
Clemont:Serena?
Serena:Hu-Huh!?
Serena is snapped out her thoughts, turning to her right to see the concern looks of her friends
Serena:So-Sorry guys just kinda . . . zoned out a bit
Clemont:Serena . . . . I called you're name eight times, that's more than zoning out of reality
Serena:Re-Really? *looks down sadden with her hands clenching a bit* sorry guys I've just been thinking about . . . . him
Clemont and Bonnie look at one another worried but also share the same look as her since like her Ash meant something to them, Ash was like a brother to Clemont and Bonnie viewed Ash like a role model and the trainer she wants to rise up to be so it hurt them to know what had happened to him and why he gone into hiding
Serena:This event is said to bring all the worlds greatest trainer and I-I have hope that he'll come, yet there's still doubt in me that says he won't appear so I—
Clemont:Hey it's okay
Serena: *turns to them* Huh?
Bonnie:We understand you're worried Serena and we share them too, but you're forget one thing here *giggles and Dedenne giggles with her*
Serena:Forgetting something? wha-what am I forgetting?
Clemont:This is Ash we're talking about Serena, you think that even if his being hunted down by some weirdo with a mask, do you think his gonna miss an event like this?
Bonnie:Yeah! plus, he promised he returned when he gets stronger, so I'm sure that he's much much! stronger now then when he was five years ago

The brother and sister smile reassuringly at their friend who was speechless before smiling happily at them feeling hopeful once again
Serena:Thanks guys I-I really needed that
They all smile, as outside we see the plane make it's way to the runaway where it lands safely on without any problem or issues
Time Skip
We are later seen in the city where Serena, Clemont and Bonnie were walking around looking in awe at the peaceful, calm and warming environment of this city while passing the many spectators and citizen that react like them
Clemont:This is really giving me a warm welcome vibes
Bonnie:They got a lot of cool stores here guys! maybe we can go explore the city after registering
Serena:Yeah truly they picked a great place to host the tournament though I do wonder if we'll be allowed to explore the other biomes while we're here?
Bonnie:Yeah! I can't wait to see what kind of Pokémon we can find here! *spits the very large stadium in the distance* hey look there's the stadium! race ya there! *starts running towards the stadium with Dedenne on her shoulder*
Serena/Clemont:Bonnie wait! *go after her*
The two run after Bonnie in a hurry knowing fully well what happens when she runs off on her own, as with Bonnie she's passing by many of the people that where in her way before ultimately getting bumped by someone who was in the same hurry as her
Bonnie/???:Ow!
Both Bonnie and the other person fell on there butts with Bonnie rubbing her head with stung a bit meaning the other person crashed into her very strongly
Serena/Clemont:Bonnie!/Are you okay!?
Her two friends arrived and Clemont is quickly to crouch down and start checking if his little sister was alright
Clemont:How many times do I have to tell you to not run off like that?
Bonnie: *chuckles nervously* Sorry, but it wasn't my fault *points at the person who bumped into her* he bumped into me! so it's his fault!

The individual stops speaking, as they gasp surprised

In front of the trio was one of Ash's companions and friend of the Hoenn region, son of the normal type gym leader Norman and like Bonnie rising Pokémon trainer

Bonnie:Yeah that's him *stands up and walks up to Max* and what do you think you're! doing here Max?
Max:Heh *smirks while fixing his glasses* what do you think? I'm here to win this hole thing
Bonnie:Ha! that has to be a lie, because the one who's going to win this tournament is me!

The both started to glare at one another to the point that sparks of electricity could be seen in between them showing that their rivalry is a hateful one
Serena: *sweat drops* Those two really are something huh?
Clemont: *sweat drops* Yeah, I would call this two enemies more than rivals if you ask me
Serena:Why?
Clemont: *sighs* I can just tell that their inches away from tearing each other apart, Bonnie really wouldn't stop talking about how much she hated him when I called her

Another familiars speaks out and grabs the attention of the group, as whoever called Max runs up to them and smacked them on the head

Max: *walks to his sister and pats her back comforting her* He'll come May, I know he will don't forget this is Ash who you're talking about, I'm sure he wouldn't miss this for the world
May:Yeah *smiles* I guess you more right thanks Max *turns to the Kalos trio* so, you guys wanna go to register to together?

Serena:Absolutely
Bonnie: *sighs still not feeling very relaxed with Max* Fiiinneee

The group turned to the voice and are meet with three familiar individuals that looked different then last time

The group of some Ash's friends and companions meet one another with Brock reuniting with May and Max while the girls greet one another before the attention is turned to Clemont and Bonnie who haven't exactly meet the three of them
Brock:Look at you max, all grown up and you're already one of the strongest trainers in Hoenn
Max:Hehe yep! and after this tournament I'll be much much better
Brock:Really? you do realize a lot of strong trainers are in this tournament which that includes me, you're not nervous?
Max:Nope! I like the challenge, so bring it on Brock
Brock: *huckles before turning to Clemont* I'm Brock, former pewter city gym leader, Pokémon doctor *extends his hand towards Clemont*
Clemont: *is surprised for a bit before smiling* It's an honor to finally meet you *shakes his hand* I'm Clemont, Lumious city gym leader, genius inventor
Brock:Let me guess? stubborn and interesting kid with a hat arrived to you're gym and his way of battling and bond with his Pokémon just made you for some reason just join him to see where the adventure goes?

While the guys spoke, the girls also had their own conversation
Dawn:You must be Bonnie, it's nice to meet you for the first time
Bonnie:Same here I'm happy to meet on e of Ash's companions, he talked a lot about them when we we asked him about his journeys, so I've been excited to meet some of you guys for sone time
Dawn:Really? well I hope you only heard the good things about me *giggles* knowing Ash he'd probably talk about the fun stuff we all did in Sinnoh
Bonnie:Don't worry *giggles* he always told us great things about you guys

Serena:It's nice actually, I'm happy to bring smile to others and inspire other young trainers to start their careers, as performers, though I can understand now how Aria and Diantha feel when the public finds them out in the streets *sweat drops* those disguises they suggested me have been real helpful
Dawn:Same here, reporters are starting to get real a knowing now a days

The girls continued to talk before suddenly giggling which got the three guys that are watching them to sweat drop

Down on the ground Dedenne goes over to the other Pokémon that's outside of their pokeball, and it's Dawn's trusty penguin Pokémon

Dedenne:Denenei? (Dedenne seems to be asking about Piplup)
Piplup:Pip? Pipipip (Piplup seems to be confused before giggling a bit) Pip Piplup (Piplup seems to be acting cocky, as he introduces himself to Dedenne)
Dedenne:Denenei? Denenei? (Dedenne seems to be confused with the way Piplup introduced itself, so it ask something to see if what Piplup said was true)
Piplup: *motions Dedenne to bring it* Piplup (Piplup challenge Dedenne)
Dedenne nods and lunges at Piplup with Nuzzle which immediately shocks Piplup which gets the attention of the group
Dawn:Piplup!
Bonnie:Dedenne stop!
Dedenne stops nuzzling Piplup and looks at Piplup innocently before wondering why Piplup was looking like a fried chicken
Dedenne:Nenei?
Bonnie: *picks up Dedenne* Dedenne, why did you use nuzzle on Piplup?
Dedenne:Denenenei Denenei (Dedenne tells Bonnie what actually and tries to defends it's case)
Dawn: *picks up Piplup* Piplup? are you okay? Piplup!
Piplup was still faint until it immediately wakes up and shakes the dust of it and smiles proudly like if it achieve something

Piplup and Dedenne then laugh which got everyone before Brock shined in chuckling
Brock:I think Piplup was showing off to Dedenne that he could take any electric type move

The group laughs together again until a new, yet familiar voice joins the group

The group turns to the voice and only a few of them recognize this new individual that's joined the group

Cilan:Haha it's great to see you all again my friends
Clemont:You're competing too?
Cilan:Indeed I am, and so are my brothers *notice May, Max, Misty and Serena* oh? I don't think with exactly gotten acquainted have we?
Brock:Oh right *motions to four that haven't meet Cilan* guys this one of Ash's companions when he was in the unova region
Cilan: *bows respectful* Cilan, one of Striaton city gym leader, it is great to meet more of my friend's friends, plus a Kalos queen herself, what an honor

Cilan:All if us together, with only two exceptions *gets a bit quiet before speaking* has there been any signs yet?

After running pass the duo, the guy that looks like he's from Galar and the Shiny Corviknight turn to one another confused before shrugging their shoulders, as back with group the girls see Iris looking up at something, but no Charizard or Alolan Raichu anywhere
